Evelyn’s POV

The mont we left the Bloodbane Pack house, I instructed Jackson to trace Clara’s accomplices, focusing particularly on her admirers who might have helped her.

I never imagined that when I finally received the address, I would see a familiar na.

How could it be him?

The license plate belonged to Keith Frost!

When I tracked him down with my team, he was drowning himself in alcohol at so seedy bar. I had Eryx bring in a bucket of ice-cold water and dump it over his pathetic form.

"E-Evelyn?" Keith sputtered, his face draining of color as recognition hit him.His thoughts imdiately went to the woman in the hospital bed. "Is sothing wrong with Lynn? Did sothing happen to her?"

I kept my face blank as I showed him the photos. "Keith Frost, this is your car?"

The drunk man looked at the pictures and nodded. "Yes, that’s mine, but I gave it to—"

"To your mistress, right?" I cut in coldly. "Lynn found out about her because of this car. That’s why she tried to kill herself while pregnant. Right?"

Keith went white. He said nothing.

My words seed to crush him. I grabbed his phone and handed it to him, my eyes cold. "Call her. Get her here. Now!"

Even a fool would know this was serious.

Keith asked quickly, "What’s wrong, Evelyn?" He unblocked the woman’s number as he spoke.

She was a small-ti actress he’d t at a party. They’d been seeing each other for a while.

He called her, and she answered excitedly."Mr. Frost! You finally called! Lillian missed you so much."

"Nightshade Lounge, Room 808. Twenty minutes," he said shortly.

Twenty minutes later, she rushed in. She saw Keith sitting wet in the dark room, paused, then smiled and hurried to him.

At that mont, the lights in the room blazed to full brightness.

I was sitting on the couch behind Keith, my gaze cold as I watched the woman. When she saw , her face instantly turned ashen.

"It seems you know who I am," I observed.

The woman snapped out of her shock and shook her head vigorously. "No, I don’t!"

Her cheeks were pale, her eyes darting around nervously as her fingers clutched at her obscenely short skirt. She couldn’t bring herself to et my eyes.

"Where were you today at four o’clock?" I asked.

"I-I was at ho."

My slim fingers wrapped around her throat with unexpected strength, making her gasp for air.

"Lillian, I don’t give second chances. Tell what you did at four today."

Scared, Lillian tried to pull my hand away, shaking her head no.

"Let ask again—what did Clara Whitmore offer you?"

Lillian’s eyes went wide with fear when I ntioned Clara. She was shocked I knew.

She thought about Clara becoming the Luna, wife of Wolfe Haven’s CEO. She’d be rich then. Worth protecting.

Lillian decided to stay quiet.

But then... I had Eryx hold Lillian’s neck while I took out a black pill. I forced it into her throat, making her swallow.

"It hurts! Let go!" she cried.

"I don’t know anything! I stayed ho today!"

Keith watched, now completely sober. He sat quietly, not daring to speak.

I stared at Lillian coldly. "Keep talking," I said quietly.

Lillian shook her head, but Eryx tightened his grip on her neck. Finally, she broke down and told everything.

"The children are at Sunset Village outside town."

Eryx sent his team right away.

In normal business, he might not match Calvin. But in the shadows, no one had better connections than Eryx.

"It was Calypso Pack people. They said if I helped them with their sche, they’d give twenty thousand dollars," Lillian sobbed. "My mother is in the hospital and needs a lot of money. I had no choice! They forced ! Please let go!"

I watched the crocodile tears streaming down her face and scoffed lightly.

"Lillian, I’m not a fool like Keith. You think playing the victim will earn you forgiveness?"

The fake crying stopped as Lillian’s expression froze.

"You’re an orphan, taken in by a childless couple in Sunset Village who provided for you, fed you, and paid for your education. And the first thing you did after graduating was steal the money ant for your adoptive father’s dical treatnt so you could show off."

"Your adoptive father died, and your adoptive mother... you sold her to the Calypso Pack as their slave. Now she’s working for them in their territory."

Lillian’s eyes filled with terror as she realized I knew her secrets.

Under the dual torture of ntal and physical pain, she lay curled up on the floor, trembling with fear.

Beside us, Keith stared in shock, his eyes wide.

He’d initially paid more attention to Lillian because of her tragic background, giving himself the illusion of being her savior.

It was all lies?

Thinking of how many tis he’d lied to Lynn to care for Lillian, leaving ho at night to look after her, regret washed over him like a tidal wave.

Keith looked at Lillian with hatred in his eyes. It was because of her deception that he had betrayed his Lynn!

Soon after, Jackson received news from his team.

He approached and quickly whispered a few words.

I nodded and prepared to leave with him and our people.

Lillian lay on the floor like a dead fish, but seeing us about to leave, she lunged forward and grabbed my leg.

"You promised to give the antidote!" she cried desperately.

I kicked her away and looked down at the woman on the floor with contempt. She wasn’t tall, had an ordinary figure, and her looks couldn’t compare to Lynn’s.

My eyes flicked over to Keith with mockery and coldness. The man’s eyes might as well have been decorative, betraying Lynn for this kind of trash? Blind and pathetic.

Catching the scorn in my gaze, Keith tensed.

He understood what my eyes conveyed.

He lowered his head, not daring to speak.

I looked down at Lillian and smiled coldly. "The antidote is... surviving until morning."

"And if I don’t survive?" Lillian asked in terror.

She looked up at .

I glanced at her briefly. "If you don’t survive, then you die."

Lillian’s entire body trembled uncontrollably. She couldn’t believe my words and tried to lunge at again, but Jackson kicked her down.

The pain in her chest was so intense she couldn’t speak.

The room fell silent. Lillian placed her last hope on Keith, but before she could speak, she saw the contempt in his eyes.

Calvin’s POV

My heart raced as I drove to Sunset Village outside Ravenshade. Every part of knew my sons were in danger. When I got the alert about strange activity near an old Calypso Pack building, I just knew.

I saw Evelyn’s helicopter ready to leave when I arrived. Eryx’s team had taken care of everything,Calypso Pack n lay tied up near the building.

I stopped my car and ran toward Evelyn, who held Rowan. My guard moved to take Rhys from her security team.

My sons were unconscious but breathing. I reached for Rowan, needing to hold him, to know he was safe.

But Evelyn turned away, keeping our son from . Her guard did the sa with Rhys.

Once again, our pack mbers faced each other, my sons between us.

I felt helpless, sothing an Alpha wasn’t used to. Seeing my children in danger, then Evelyn keeping them from , it hurt.

Evelyn held Rowan closer, smiling coldly. Her words cut deep.

"The great Alpha of Bloodbane Pack," she mocked. "You couldn’t even find your own children."

It hurt because it was true. All my power, my resources—none of it helped find my sons before she did.

I wanted to demand my rights as their father. But I knew that would only push her away more.

I watched her carry our son to the helicopter. She looked both strong and fragile.

"Evelyn," I called, trying to sound calm. "Where are you taking them?"
