300 So you rember?
"Oh, I brought him with . I just made him wait in the car," Lu ngjie replied with a small smile plastered on her lips. "I can help you make lunch."
"There's no need for that. You are my guest, just relax and watch so movie, okay?" He chuckled.
"If you say so."
"Spicy chicken fried rice is still your favorite, right?"
She furrowed her brows in confusion as she looked at him with doubt. "How did you know?"
"You told back then," he cooly replied. "I wonder what should I do to make you rember? Did you really forget all those good tis we had together?"
Lu ngjie pursed her lips, sohow feeling guilty for not rembering him. Were they as close as he had told her? As she decided to watch sothing, Cian gave her a juice and a few snacks to chew on before he continued to prepare lunch for them.
While waiting, a beep was heard from Lu ngjie's phone. She took her phone out of her pocket and checked the ssage. She blinked a few tis when she saw Skeleton's na. He never contacted her. The only ti he did was during the ti when Yong Liwei used his phone to call her.
Ah… Was her husband using his phone again?
She opened the ssage and saw a short ssage. [Get out of there.]
A knit ford between her brows in confusion. How did he know that she was in Cecilia's place?
There was only one person who could have possibly told him and that was none other than the loyal Spider. [Will do. After a good talk with Cecil.] She replied. After doing so, she kept her phone in her bag before she reached out for the drink and drank from it.
She placed the glass back on the coffee table before she asked, "Cian-ge, can I use your restroom?" "Sure. It's at the end of the hall."
Lu ngjie eyed the man who was busy cooking. She stood up from her seat and left the room. Instead of heading to the restroom, she decided to check on Cecilia's bedroom. She must be hiding sothing from her. She may not know where her room was located but she had enough ti to check every room.
She walked towards the first room on the left and held on the doorknob, turning it to check if it was locked. Luckily for her, it was not. Carefully, she opened the door and peeked inside. It was clean and neat. She couldn't tell if the room belonged to Cecilia or Cian so she had no choice but to enter. She knew that she had limited ti to investigate the room.
The easiest way to do it was to install Kuro on the computer in the corner. By doing so, she could easily have access to the files inside later at ho.
While waiting for Kuro to completely load inside the computer, Lu ngjie decided to check on the other door inside the room. For so unknown reason, sothing was pulling her towards that particular room. Maybe it was the black paint that stood out inside the beige-thed interior.
And so, she allowed her curiosity to get the best out of her. She found the door unlocked. Once again, lucky for her.
As she slowly pushed the door open, Lu ngjie's eyes widened upon seeing the collage of photos in the room. It was photos of her… during high school.
Why were those photos on the wall?
She entered and looked around. The room was covered with her faces, from high school to present. She felt blood rushing in her ears as fear began to envelop her body. She should leave! Her instincts were telling her to run away and never look back but...
"Tch, tch. You know it's rather rude to enter soone else's room without permission, right?"
Startled by his bone-chilling voice, Lu ngjie pivoted her heels, turning towards the man who was leaning against the door. The cheerful smile he always had was nowhere to be found in his place.
"Y-You… you're… XX?"
Cian blinked a few tis and had a pure surprise written on his face. "So you rember? My, my. I never planned on revealing myself this way. I was supposed to help you rember but..." he paused to check the watch on his wrist. "The drug should be kicking in right now." "D-Drug?" She stuttered.
At the ntion of the word, Lu ngjie felt her knees lting as her sight began to darken. "Kuro… call…"
Thud!
Lu ngjie wasn't able to finish her words as she finally fainted.
Cian's stare was cold as he eyed her unconscious body on the floor. He didn't bother catching her at all. "Virus. Have you caught him?"
"Yes sir." A computerized voice was heard in the room. "Now then, what should I do with Kuro?"
Virus was just like Kuro, an artificial intelligence that Cian created. He was a system that acted like a Virus which was fatal for other AIs, hence his na.
"Extract all the information he has." He took a step forward, finally approaching Lu ngjie's unconscious body. He picked her up from the ground and carried her in his arms. He soon placed her on the chair.
While he was tying her limbs against the chair, the doorbell rang.
"Sir, Lu ngjie's bodyguard is outside," Virus inford him. "And my sister?"
"She has arrived at the parking lot."
Cian wasn't worried about his sister finding out what happened but his biggest problem was Spider. What should he do to distract him? If he was going to face him, he would be at a disadvantage. He was no match for an expert martial artist.
"I should have hired a rcenary." He sighed. "Virus, start hiring n. I don't care how much they cost, just make sure that they are skilled. Better than Yong Liwei's n."
"Yes sir."
"For now, spray the sleeping smoke outside."
"Yes sir."
I finally reached 300 chapters!
