Lothaire had wanted to watch Larisa’s sleeping face longer but he heard that the Emperials had arrived and he wondered what they were doing there so early.

Lothaire walked into the eting chamber with the royal family present, the Emperials stood upon his entrance to address the matter in hand. Adina, Avian, Onyx and Zion were the nas of the four Emperials.

"We’re not going to waste your ti, we’re only going to tell you to take her back." Adina stated, making her points clear, she had short black hair with pale features and she was gorgeous but her harsh facial expression was a barrier.

Lothaire sat on a chair with legs crossed, obviously unaffected by her words. Onyx a red haired Emperial quickly chipped in, her peaceful aura would make one think the situation wasn’t as serious as it seed.

"We should all calm down and talk about this like adults...." She paused taking notice of the air before continuing "We made the rule not to mate with humans no matter what happened since it only disrupted the balance of nature."

"The sa nature that made her my mate?" Lothaire asked rhetorically.

"If you don’t follow our orders we’ll have to get rid of her." Avian a stern faced Emperial said, as gorgeous as the rest of them but with his stern expression and always creased brows, one would think he was having an inner battle.

The air changed when Lothaire heard him talk about getting rid of his mate, he gave him a deadly glare as he stood slowly with a sarcastic grin on his face, at this point, the king and queen could hope that the Emperials would be alive to see the end of that day.

Lothaire walked up to Avian barely touching him but Avian didn’t move even though he was slightly scared of him, Lothaire’s aura got darker and more dangerous.

"With what you’ve said, I don’t think you’ll be leaving this place...Alive." Lothaire threatened, his blazing golden eyes looking hellishly at him.

"Its not too late to let her go when you can still bear it, but if you refuse and she dies sixty or seventy years later you’ll go berserk and God knows what you’ll do then." Zion spoke carelessly but truly, his words made the three Emperials slightly stunned, they had always known him to be childish and playful, he never even wanted to be an Emperial but had to take over his father.

Lothaire didn’t want to hear another word from them, he didn’t want to believe that she would be gone from his life one day, his jaws clenched in anger and his demon just wanted to vent his anger by destruction but he forced himself to behave.

"Don’t make yourself be in eternal pain..." Darius was cut short by Lothaire’s deep growl

"Enough!" Lothaire was breathing heavily, his chest rose up and down like a beast who was about to attack, his golden eyes blazed like hell and his dark aura sent chills, through their skins. Valerie on seeing this almost fell, she had never seen Lothaire this angry and it was purely blood curdling.

"Anyone who lays a hand on her will die by mine." He made his threats crystal clear and they all knew not to anger him anymore than he already was or heads would be rolling.

"Fine then...We’ll have no choice but to leave you be but on one condition." Adina said.

"You can go to hell with your conditions." And with that, he set to leave but halted when he heard her continue.

"You’ll have no problem with us staying then." Adina stated more than a request. The other Emperials were surprised by her request but kept shut and supported her move.

Lothaire walked away without saying anything after he heard her speak, he didn’t care what anyone did as long as they didn’t ddle in his business.

....

Larisa woke up and didn’t find Lothaire in his usual position but shrugged it off and took her bath, she ate her breakfast and set out to the library which she asked a maid for direction to. Larisa had gone to the library to find out more about Empire D and maybe Lothaire, she went over to the history section until she found a history book of Empire D, she sat down and prepared to read it but when she opened it, it was written in a completely different language, she got utterly disappointed.

She stood up to leave when she saw a long silver haired man standing in front of her, he was tall, lean and muscular, he was simply gorgeous and his silver hair gave him an Angelic look but his beauty couldn’t be compared to that of Lothaire. "Hi you must be Lothaire’s mate...sorry I an wife. I’m Zion." His bubbly personality made Larisa think he wasn’t a vampire but sothing else and his aura was simply light and peaceful making her guess that he was an Angel, which was ridiculous to her.

"Hi...I’m Larisa." She said stunned to see an Angel before her or so she thought.

"What you’re reading is in ancient language of Empire D but I don’t really know it myself or I’d have helped out." He said childishly as he scratched the back of his head while Larisa was trying to figure out who he was.

"Who are you? I’ve never seen you here before." She asked and he grinned revealing his perfect white teeth.

"I’m one of the Emperials and we’ll be staying here from now on..To keep an eye on Lothaire." He explained watching her reaction intently. She wondered why they wanted to keep an eye on Lothaire and if the Emperials were Angels and she expected them to be.. well...different.

"oh..." Her words were interrupted by the clicking of heels that beca louder and she saw three other gorgeous looking creatures whom she guessed were the rest of the Emperials. ’who on earth were these people?’ Her inner self pondered.

"Hey guys its Larisa, Lothaire’s wife and she’s cute too." Zion said with a huge grin on his face making Larisa embarrassed. Adina glared at Zion and his grin disappeared.

Avian and Adina’s expression showed that they were obviously not happy about the marriage when Larisa looked at them but Onyx gave her a warm smile which she politely returned.

Adina walked slowly towards Larisa with a hard look on her beautiful face making Larisa subconsciously move back.

"You clearly see the risk you’re taking by staying with him, it may seem peaceful but if you continue to be with him you think his power obsessed father would stand by and watch him mate with a weak human?" Adina was clearly making a statent trying to intimidate Larisa but she refused to be intimidated especially when she had Lothaire by her side.

"I never asked to be here." Larisa talked back to see Adina look at her in bewildernt for a second.

"You’re the only one that can talk to him, tell him you want to leave because trust , if you stay with him you’ll never know peace and you’ll always be haunted by his Father." Her words stuck into Larisa’s head and she wondered If the woman was right ’would she never know peace?’ But she felt safe and...happy with Lothaire, but she thought it was too easy especially as he was a demon and the devil’s son.

Adina could see doubt written on Larisa’s face and she was glad she made her have doubts.

"Excuse ." Larisa’s voice was barely audible but they heard her clearly as she left them, deep in thoughts. A smile crossed Adina’s face and the others imdiately knew why she wanted to stay in the castle and it was to make Larisa scared enough to want to leave.

Larisa went back to the room and lay down for a bit drowning in her thoughts till she fell into a deep slumber.

Larisa’s eyelashes fluttered open and she was surprised to see that she had slept till night ti, she got up and saw Lothaire not sitting as usual but standing and staring outside the window. Lothaire imdiately turned towards her as if he had sensed her waking up and with a mischievous smile on his face he said.

" You’re awake. You should eat sothing." He motioned towards the food neatly prepared on the small table, she just nodded obediently and set to eat the food while feeling his eyes on her.

"I t the Emperials today." Larisa told Lothaire after she was done eating and Lothaire lifted his brows.

"Is that why you’re worried?" He asked. Lothaire had noticed her worried expression that evening and the regular red tinge on her cheeks weren’t visible.

"No..Truthfully I’m just worried sothing bad might happen because of ." She said. Lothaire walked up closely to her, their bodies brushing lightly against the each other.

"I told you that I’d protect you, unless you don’t trust ..." His words made her weak, they felt so sincere, she could see the sincerity in his golden gaze that locked hers making her feel an emotion that was alien to her.

"I do.." She heard herself say. She watched him take her hands in his and led her to the window, he opened the window leading to the balcony, she felt the cold breeze on her skin and she wondered why he brought her out here.

"Show ..." He said behind her leaving her in confusion. ’show him what?’ she thought with furrowed brows. "How much you trust ..." She heard him say and she imdiately knew what he ant, she turned around to see his very serious face making him look more masculine. ’was he really asking her to jump?’ Her inner self bit her nails in fear.

"You want to jump?" She asked when she already knew, she was scared because the castle was at least a hundred storey and it seed like they were in the eightieth story since they used elevators up and down the place, so if she fell it would be to her death but she knew he wouldn’t let her fall.

"If you trust to catch you." He said huskily with a sarcastic smirk on his face like he was enjoying it. She took a deep breath and moved closer to the rails. Lothaire watched her intently and wondered if she’d take the jump, he watched as she moved slowly to the empty space, she took a deep breath and shut her eyes closed. She took a leap and he watched her fall while a huge grin spread on his face.
