Pacing in the washroom back and forth, biting her stiletto painted nails, Regina was looking at her mobile steadily for the one phone call, her source who can pull out the information of any person even hiding in the nook and cranny and that person has been helping her with neither any motives nor for her money since ten years from the day she started loving Devin.
Her master sche has failed unexpectedly, which would have been a picture-perfect plan if it was executed according to her line up. The reporter she has contacted has awaited their arrival for the juicy gossip, after all, it was Wang Devin and the fashion world would be in the mayhem, but all went in vain. Although she could not travel with him, Regina was happy that she could see her prince the next day at the office. Regina's phone ringed bringing out of her sick thoughts. She imdiately picked up in the first ring when she looked at the displayed contact na.
"Did you find anything?" Her voice was urgent waiting for the answer biting her lips like so wild thing.
"No. He left the office and straight away went to a friend's house in Madison way in Seattle. The house is surrounded by tight security and it's hard to get any information inside." A gruff voice spoke up from the other end.
"You are failing in every task nowadays. Get his new phone number at least. I will deal with it." Regina yelled without even knowing she was in the office. Since many of the employees haven't arrived, being the top designer of WD, Regina's work would be on the top floor. To her luck, none of them were loitering at the premises to see her insanity.
"Relax my dear Regi. It's not that I am failing in the work. Your prince is very sharp and quick. He has already sensed his number is being chased. He is using a private number which I couldn't trace."
"If you can't find the number, get soone to enter the house. No one would say no to money. Buy them. I want to know what's happening around him." She declared strenuously.
"I will try, but I cannot guarantee it." The man's voice declared from the other end.
"Soone is speaking outside. I am hanging up now. I will call you back in the night." She whispered and hung up without even giving a chance for the other person to speak.
Before she declined the call, the washroom door was pushed open and entered a woman startling Regina. Quickly composing herself she smiled at her.
"What happened to your face?" Harley asked looking at the tensed woman.
"Nothing. Everything is new here and I am a bit stressed due to lack of sleep." A pleasant smile was on her lips again.
"You should have taken a leave then," Harley heard little noises from the washroom when she was talking to one of the employees outside the door. She clearly heard soone's voice from the inside demanding to get information on a person. But there was no one except Regina when she entered in. What made her strange was, Regina's screaming voice is now replaced with a pleased one which was scaring her. Harley was always uncanny about this woman even though they have t a little number of tis. Regina always threw deathly stares to her as if she has done sothing to her.
"I am fine Harley. Sir wants the designs to be completed by today." She said and added." By the way, I don't see him today."
"He is on vacation." Pulling a tissue from the holder, she stated.
"How many days he would be on vacation?" Regina asked with avidity.
"Why are you so eager to know about him, Miss Herrera?"

"Don't unnecessarily pry into other businesses. Instead of gossips, complete your unfinished designs." Harley stated while her gaze unconsciously moved to Regina's sharp nails when she was about to throw the tissue into the garbage bin. Instantly she closed her eyes tight shut as if she has seen sothing scary.
Out of shock, without even doing her business, Harley hurriedly walked out of the washroom in panic. The scary scene of Regina's index fingernail chunks which she has bitten aggressively was etched into her mory. But that was not the only thing which made Harley panic, Regina has eaten the flesh of her thumb completely which made the finger turn deep brown into wrinkled one. What a sick woman? Harley shuddered. She made a note to inform Devin once he is back. Sick people should be in a ntal asylum. Her vibes are already disrupting the workplace.
After Harley left the place, Regina disdainfully looked at her.
"Bitchy orphan. You are a nobody without the Wang family."
"I have to make calculated moves now. What if he cannot get any information about Devin? I have to and my own plans else he would slip out of my hands." Regina muttered. Even if she fails in everything, she has a trump card. For the past ten years, she has used every opportunity to know about his family and friends secretively and she got close to one of the family mbers who hold the authority in their ho and no one dares to oppose that person.
"Looks like I have to make a visit to her." With a victorious smile, she sent a text over her phone.

Regina did not need to wait for the reply, her mobile beeped imdiately with the notification.

With a jubilant smile, Regina walked out. There is no point in catching the small fishes. She is now determined to trap the big fish. Although that fish is hard to catch, she just has to bait the hook carefully without getting bitten. Everything will fall into the place.
She is her biggest pawn to checkmate Wang Devin.
