"Do you think Xia Sinian would be happy if he saw you this way?"

Li Bingbing glared daggers at Lu Xian Yu, "Don’t you dare use that card on ."

"ngjie is your daughter. It is okay if you continue to ignore but you can’t do the sa to her. Don’t hate her."

Li Bingbing clenched her fists tight as she lowered her head. "I do not hate her."

How could she? She raised Lu ngjie together with Xia Sinian while he was still alive but... after she found out the truth about Xia Sinian not being the father of their daughter, she was devastated.

She doesn’t know whether it was a good thing or a bad thing that Xia Sinian died without knowing the truth but... Li Bingbing just couldn’t take it.

"Is it because she’s mine?" Lu Xian Yu asked with a sad smile on his lips.

Hearing no answers from Li Bingbing, Lu Xian Yu can already tell that it was really because he was the father.

"I’m not fitted to beco a mother, I can’t do what other mothers do. I am careless and irresponsible, I am-"

"Then just be yourself." Lu Xian Yu cut in. He knelt in front of her before he grabbed her hands. "Do whatever you’re best at but all I ask for you is to... treat the children fairly, especially ngjie. Don’t abandon her, she may have as her father but she is also your daughter. What do you think will... Xia Sinian do if he found out that ngjie isn’t his daughter?"

What would Xia Sinian do? Xia Sinian would definitely be hurt if he found out about it but...

"He... he would have treated her as his own..." Xia Sinian was like that, he was a kind man and he would definitely accept Lu ngjie as his daughter.

Tears rolled down her cheeks uncontrollably as she thought of this. "I’m a horrible mother, Xian Yu."

"You may be one but..." Lu Xian Yu pulled her into his arms to comfort her. "It’s not too late to make things right."

For so reason, Li Bingbing couldn’t help but sink into Lu Xian Yu’s embrace as the familiar warmth brought comfort in her chest.

After Xia ilin managed to calm Lu ngjie down, the child fell asleep in her arms that’s why she decided to bring her in one of the guest room to allow her to sleep while Little lon took Xia Liqin to play together with him.

"You look troubled." Lu Yifeng said when he saw the expression on Xia ilin’s face when she entered his study.

"I’m so worried about Li Bingbing and her family." She went and sat on his lap, "Darling, I can’t just leave them like this."

He wrapped his arms around her waist, "Just leave them be. Ti will settle things for them."

"But still... Li Bingbing is treating-"

Xia ilin was cut off when her lips were suddenly sealed by Lu Yifeng.

Xia ilin was surprised at his sudden kiss but in the end, she lted because of how passionate he was kissing her. When he pulled away, Xia ilin was left breathless.

"Stop thinking of other things and just fill your mind with ." He whispered huskily in her ear as his hand traveled inside her thigh which made Xia ilin blush.

She buried her blushing face in the crook of his neck. "Darling, you’re so naughty... Ahh... you can’t touch there."

They were just starting but a knock suddenly interrupted them.

Xia ilin let out a sigh, "Not again..."

Lu Yifeng retracted his hand as he chuckled, "Let’s have a date sowhere tonight." He kissed her cheek.

Xia ilin’s face brightened up when she heard the word ’date’. "Then I guess I have to prepare myself for it." She stood up from his lap. "What color do you want to wear tonight?"

"Red."

"Oh, nice choice. I will surely wear one then." She grinned happily at him.

Another knock was heard and this ti, a soft and small voice followed, "Mama? Dada?"

When Xia ilin went and opened the door, she saw Little Star staring up at her. "Mama, there is no more apple pie in the ref... Can we please make so?
