"But I am." He held her hand and kissed her palm which made her pull her hand away from him in an instant.

Nian Jiezhen didn’t know whether or not to accept his offer. She was not the type of person who would do such things and being in a relationship won’t work well for her since she knows that by the ti she goes back to work, she won’t have much ti to give him.

anwhile, Xia ilin was in the room, unpacking her things and placing them in the closet. After she fixed her clothes she went to lie down on the bed. She was curious about what was happening outside her room but at the sa ti, she didn’t want to disturb the two. She was in no condition to peep at them. What if she got caught by them? Then she would ruin everything for them.
She took out her phone and decided to call soone that she hasn’t heard in a while.
The video call was answered and Li Bingbing’s face was seen on Xia ilin’s screen. She was wearing a baggy shirt and her hair was pulled back by a headband.
"And here I thought that you’ve forgotten about ." Li Bingbing pouted.
"A lot of things happened, and I was busy."
"Yes, yes. Busy warming the bed for the boss." Li Bingbing smirked teasingly.
Xia ilin’s cheeks went red because of what she said. "Don’t even start." She huffed. "By the way, how are you doing there? How’s gege?"
"So far, he’s doing well." Li Bingbing smiled a bit. "He’s currently in the kitchen, preparing food for dinner. You can call later and talk with him."
"Mm, I’ll do that." She smiled. "For now, any news between you too?"
Li Bingbing grinned with the question she asked. She showed her hand to her. There was a diamond ring around her ring finger. "We got married last week."
"Married?!" Xia ilin was surprised by the sudden news Li Bingbing gave. "No way! How can you not invite ?!"
Li Bingbing rolled her eyes, "As if you invited in yours."
Xia ilin pouted, "My marriage with Lu Yifeng was forced, rember? Why would I invite you?" She huffed out. "I’m planning to divorce him then after that, I’ll marry him again. This ti, everyone I know will be invited so it’s not fair that you didn’t invite us there."
