After crying in her room, Xia iren went to wash her face in the bathroom before she stared at herself on the mirror.
She has natural brown hair and hazel iris, but right now, her eyes were red and puffy, her lips and skin were pale because of what happened.
"How pathetic, how weak... you can’t even do sothing against that man." She told herself while she was staring on the mirror.
She clenched her fists. She was not like this whenever it cos to others but seeing Lu Yifeng and being with him made fear get ahead of herself. "Stop fearing him. Stop."
If no one will protect her then who would? She can only stand up for herself and be brave. "He’s just a human being like you, he’s not immortal so don’t be afraid of him."
She was trying to convince herself, she needs to be strong for her family and her son. She slapped her cheeks with both hands. "I will marry him for the sake of my family but I will not allow him to ruin any further!"
Xia iren looked at her redden cheeks from the mirror before she went out of her room only to see her brother. "Sinian-ge."
Xia Sinian looked at her and saw how red and puffy her eyes were, including her cheeks. He was still angry but he couldn’t do anything else anymore. He walked towards his sister and hugged her. "I’m sorry for not being able to protect you, Xiao i..."
She was surprised by his sudden hug but because of it, she was able to feel the comfort he brought her. "It’s okay, Sinian-ge. It’s okay."
He pulled away and placed his hands on her shoulders. "No one will help us, even the police wouldn’t be able to do so since they are under him but I promise you, if you order to kill him, I would."
She shook her head. "I don’t want to make my brother a murderer."
Xia Sinian lowered his head and sighed. "Of all the people in the world, why does it have to be him?"
"We cannot change what already happened. Xiao Gua is too young to understand all these things... and besides, I just want my son to be happy that’s why for the sake of my son, of our family, I will marry him."
He shot his head up and look at her in surprise. "Are you sure about this?"
She nodded at him. "Once I will marry him, I will find enough evidence against him. I am sure he has done more horrible things. Once I have a strong evidence against him, even the police wouldn’t be able to turn a blind eye to it. I will make sure to show his true colors to everyone and for to do that, I need to enter his world."
"You hate him this much?" Xia Sinian asked as he stared at his sister.
Xia iren gave him a nod. "I hate him this much."
"This is a dangerous plan you know." Xia Sinian warned.
She held his hands, "I know it will be a dangerous plan... When Xiao Gua will grow up, he will co to understand all of this but right now, he’s too young. It won’t be easy to gather evidence against Lu Yifeng but I will do my best to do so. I just... need your help, brother. Will you support ?"
"Of course I will! You don’t have to ask." He hugs her in his arms. "I will be by your side until the end."

"You agree to marry him?" Xia Jiamu was surprised by what she said
Xia iren nodded. "Yes. Only in one condition." She paused and turned to Lu Yifeng, "He should agree with the contract I will prepare."
"That depends on what is written in the contract. I will have to see it first." Lu Yifeng said as he crossed his legs.
"Fine. If there’s nothing else, I will now go. We will go see my lawyer tomorrow, I’ll ssage you the details." She turned and left them after.
Lu Yifeng stood up from the sofa. "Since everything is settled, I will take my leave."
Xia Jiamu and Xia Sinian didn’t stop him. As soon as Lu Yifeng went out of the living room, he saw Xia iren carrying Little lon. She was smiling so lovingly towards the little boy. Looking at them made his body fill with warmth. His eyes softened when he saw the two. Hearing Little lon’s laughters and seeing Xia iren’s beautiful smile, he would do anything to protect it. Although he knows that it will definitely take ti before Xia iren will accept him but since he’s already here, why should he stop?
When Little lon turned his head, he saw Lu Yifeng looking at them which made him smile brightly. "Dada!"
Little lon was reaching out his hand to him as if wanting to be carried.
Xia iren tensed up when she saw Lu Yifeng but she refused to back down and run away from her fears. She gave him a cold stare before she looked at Little lon, it pains her to see her son smiling so happily towards Lu Yifeng.
Lu Yifeng walked towards them but he didn’t carry Little lon in his arms. "Xiao Gua, be good, okay? I will have to go to work now."
An adorable pout appeared on his lips. "Will Dada co ho soon?"
Lu Yifeng patted his head. "I will make it up to you tomorrow, we can go visit the amusent park, how about it?"
Little lon’s eyes sparkled. "Okay! Pinky promise!" He showed his tiny finger to him.
"Take care of your mom." A small smile appeared on Lu Yifeng’s lips as he wrapped his pinky around Little lon’s finger.
"Don’t worry Dada, llo always care for Momma!" Little lon said as he hugged Xia iren by her neck.
From afar, it looked like they were a happy family but only Lu Yifeng and Xia iren knows the tension between them.
"Good." Lu Yifeng turned to Xia iren but she ignored him. It made his heart sink. "See you tomorrow."
