"You’re pregnant?" Xia Sinian asked in surprise.
They were in the living room, sitting together.
Xia ilin nodded before she took a photo out of her purse, it was an ultrasound photo. She hands it to her brother. "Here."
Xia Sinian stared at the picture and while he was doing so, Ji Ruo grabbed the photo from him.
"TWINS?!"
Little lon turned to his mother. "llo’s going to have two baby sisters?"
Xia ilin couldn’t help but chuckle, "We still don’t know, sweetheart. They might beco your baby brothers or maybe, one baby sister and one baby brother."
"llo doesn’t want to share toys with baby brothers!" He pouted. If he will have baby brothers, Little lon was worried if he was going to share his toys with them. He doesn’t want to share it with them. "Can’t they beco baby sisters? Girls toys are different from boys."
Lu Yifeng’s lips curled up, "Then you need to start praying that they’ll turn out to be girls."
"It’s not bad to have brothers, even if you have to share your toys with them, at least you can play together with them." Xia Sinian smiled. "You can play ball ga with them and teach them so many things."
"Will they be able to play tag ga with llo?"
"Why yes, when they grow up, they will."
Little lon rubbed his chin as if he was thinking about it.
Xia Jiamu’s laugh was suddenly heard, "We’re going to have more great grandchildren! Hahaha!"
Ji Ruo was happy with this news too but she didn’t show it that much like how her husband did. She turned to Lu Yifeng, "You didn’t force her this ti, right? Is it out of love? "
Xia ilin’s face beca red, "Grandma! O-Of course it is out of love... T-there’s no way I’m going to allow my husband to do it if I don’t love him."
"Do what, momma?" Little lon asked as he looked at his mother.
Li Bingbing cleared her throat. "There’s a baby in the room. I don’t think you should be talking about such things."
Little lon pursed his lips, "llo’s not a baby!"
"Oh yes you are."
"llo can walk! Babies crawl!"
"Babies can walk too. I have a big baby with ." Li Bingbing grinned as she hugged Xia Sinian from his side.
Xia Sinian frowned, "Who’s a big baby?"
"Who else could it be?" She kissed his cheek.
"Both of you needs to get married and give us a grandchild too." Xia Jiamu said.
Ji Ruo nodded in agreent, "Xia Sinian, you need to start building a family."
Xia Sinian lowered his head. Having his own family is... sothing that is not for him.
"Actually, Sisi and I are planning to fly to US by the end of this month." Li Bingbing said.
"Both of you are going to US?" Xia ilin’s eyes went wide in surprise.
Xia Sinian couldn’t help but nod. He place his hand on top of Li Bingbing’s hand. He was nervous since he’ll be telling the truth to his family.
Li Bingbing held his hand and gave it a squeeze squeeze, reassuring him that everything will be okay. . "I think I should take llo to the kitchen." She turned to Little lon and smiled, "Let’s go grab so food?"
"Okay!" Little lon smiled happily.
For so reason, Xia ilin started becoming nervous because of the new information she got from Xia Sinian.
When Li Bingbing and Little lon left the room, Ji Ruo spoke up, "What’s the matter, Sinian?" Just by looking at the expression on Xia Sinian’s face, she knows that sothing was wrong. His eyes were avoiding their look and he was tapping his hand on his lap.
Xia Sinian took a deep breathe before he faced them and spoke up, "I’m dying."
Everyone except Lu Yifeng was surprise when they heard his words.
"What do you an?" Xia Jiamu straightened his back, a frown was on his face.
"I have... cancer. Stage two lung cancer. I will be going to US to get my treatnt there."
"Xia Sinian! This is not a funny joke!" Ji Ruo scolded him, refusing to believe what he just said.
Xia Sinian didn’t say anything. He clasped his hands together and lowered his head. Because of Xia Sinian’s silence, everyone was able to tell that he was serious.
"B-brother..."
"This is why I told you so many tis that you should stop your smoking!" Ji Ruo’s eyes beca watery. She clenched her fists tight.
Xia Jiamu placed his hand on her shoulder and caress it to calm her down, "He said that he’ll be going to US to be treated, calm down, Ruo’er."
"Calm down? CALM DOWN?! HE HAS CANCER! HOW CAN I CALM DOWN?! " Ji Ruo bursts out in tears.
Xia ilin’s eyes beca misty, "Brother... Why?"
"I’m sorry, Xiao i..."
Xia ilin shook her head vigorously as tears roll down her cheeks. "This can’t be true. You’re lying, right? Right?"
After her parents died, it was her brother who stayed by her side. He never cried in front of her. He was her source of strength and because of him, she was able to move on from her parents’ death. She was really close to her brother, he always spoiled her with a lot of things. Even if he was a bully sotis, he was always there for her when she needs him. He was her knight in the shining armor. When they were both kidnapped during their high school, it was him who protected her. He was her only family left. Her parents were gone and now... Is he going to be taken away from her too? Why does it have to be him?
She stood up and went to him. She held his hands tight. "Sinian-ge... Are you going to leave too?"
Xia Sinian raise his head and stares at his sister’s wet face, "I won’t, that’s why I’m going to get my treatnt abroad." He force out a smile. He leans and gave her a hug. "The last thing I want is to make my baby sister cry. You look really ugly when you cry. Grandma too, both of you are so ugly right now."
Ji Ruo’s lips quivered as she watched them. "You rascal..."
Xia ilin’s tears continued on flowing like a flood. She hugged her brother tight as she sobbed hardly. "Don’t leave ... don’t leave ... don’t leave ..." She continued on muttering. Her emotions beca so unstable at that mont as she started thinking of the ’What ifs’.
What if he doesn’t co back? What if his treatnt doesn’t work? What if... his dead body will be the only thing that will co back to her? She doesn’t want a dead brother to co back! She wants him to co back alive!
"ilin, calm down."
Xia ilin wasn’t letting go of her brother, she was afraid to let him go. She didn’t want to accept the fact that he has an incurable disease.
Those treatnt can just make him live longer but it cannot cure him. How many years does he will have if the treatnt went okay? 3 years? 5 years? Those years aren’t enough! She wants her brother to live until they grow old together!
Because of such thoughts, she was crying hard. Xia Sinian was trying to calm her down but because of her unstable condition, she fainted in his arms.
