’’C-Cuck...’’ Daisy stamred, her eyes widening in disbelief. She analyzed the scene just a few minutes ago and realized that Ryle must have seen her outside Si Yena’s room just now. Coupled with the noises, he probably misunderstood her relationship with Si Yena. She wanted to correct him but then she realized that she could not give any excuse for what had transpired just now.
Her face fell slightly.
As he noticed her dejected look, Ryle’s felt a hint of pity. This prideful guy must not have wanted to be spotted by anyone in that state.
Hence, Ryle Harper, the man who steered himself away from useless emotions like concern spoke up coldly, ’’My offer still stands. I can help you take revenge...’’
’’No,’’ Daisy said without giving it a second thought, ’’It’s a personal matter. Don’t get involved in it,’’ Having worked for him, she knew the ruthless ways in which Harper Society functioned. And this man was a monster disguised beneath that handso face.
Everyone hid a monster beneath their exterior and she was not judging him but there was no way she wanted this kind of person to co anywhere close to the people she cared about. Be it her friend, her little sister, or her baby.
When she discovered that she was impregnated by an escort or so random man at a nightclub back then, she had felt that working with Ryle and getting involved in his chaotic world caused her that misfortune.
But when she felt the life growing inside her, she realized that it might be her biggest fortune instead. To avoid any kind of casualty caused by a dangerous man like Ryle Harper, she had fled from that place without a second thought.
Clueless about her thoughts, Ryle found ’the man’ more pathetic instead when he heard those words. This kind of person was the most pitiful. Even after being betrayed, he still loved and wanted to protect that woman.

’’Yes,’’ Ryle did not bother hiding the confidential reason for his visit to Beijing.
He had personally wanted to solve this matter because that bodyguard held very sensitive information about his company, being one of the elites. What was more important than all that was that he was a man he had trusted initially.
When she saw the look on his face, Daisy pitied the person who had invoked this devil’s wrath and invited misfortune for themselves.
Soon after, Ryle left.
Daisy spotted Ryle going sowhere with his driver and the new employee who probably took her position.
So, she had no doubts that he was definitely here on so mission.
But it had nothing to do with her.
Her main concern was Si Yena.
After waiting for so ti, Daisy went to find Si Yena once again. When Daisy knocked on the door, the door was pushed open and she saw a few cleaners inside the rooms, ’’What about the couple who were staying here?"
The old lady replied, ’’They left just a few minutes ago.’’
Daisy’s face turned ashen.
It was only then did Daisy feel soone else’s presence near her.
She turned around and found Ryle and the driver-secretary duo standing behind him.
Ryle’s expression did not look better than hers.
Her heart thumped.

Ryle did not seem to mind that authoritative voice as he quietly followed the guy.

As soon as he stepped inside the room, Daisy closed the door, ’’Earlier you were asking about so room number,’’ she leaned closer to him suspiciously.
When he looked at those pretty eyes which were slightly narrowed at him, Ryle was montarily distracted from the issues at hand.
Under Daisy’s unflinching gaze, he responded, ’’I also just realized that both of us are after the sa people,’’ he did not beat around the bush.
Why was he looking for Si Yena? Daisy was frustrated, ’’What happened exactly?"
’’You are no longer working for . Why should I give you such sensitive information?" A cocky smirk made its way to his lips when Ryle saw the brat’s frustration heightening, ’Good, at least, he would know what frustration feels like,’ Ryle felt smug the more he thought about it.
Daisy gritted her teeth, her easygoing expression flying out of the window as she grabbed the man’s collar and stepped towards him. A threatening light passed in her eyes as she t his gaze, ’’Don’t ss with , Ryle Harper.’’
Daisy acted on impulse, not realizing what she was doing in the spur of the mont.
Ryle’s eyes widened briefly. He was taken aback by the sudden proximity and the scent of peaches that wafted over to his nose. n... slt that sweet? Or was it just this guy?
He made a ntal note to sniff his best friend to test that theory.
Daisy was much shorter than him but her aura could intimidate n twice her size.
Ryle knew how capable she was. After all, she had once been his most trusted subordinate. But, looking at the guy right now, he did not feel any sort of fear. It was just amusent. What a brat, ’’So what if I ss with you?"
