’’Regalia...’’ Daisy stepped inside the motel.

Si Yena... is at a place like this?

Daisy has never seen that woman without the help of two maids. And knowing her, it was a shock that she would even be here. In this cheap motel where the scent of sex seed to be lingering on the walls.

But then, the past few hours told her that she might not know her best friend that well after all.

Despite her initial shock, Daisy walked towards the reception desk, ’’Lady, I want a room,’’ she glanced at the receptionist who was busy sorting through so files in her hand.

’’All the rooms are reserved,’’ the receptionist’s tone was basically a different version of ’get lost’. She did not even bother to raise her head. Lady? What was this, Victorian era? She had seen enough of people coming to motels and treating the lady staff mbers as if they were ’available’ for indecent deeds.

Daisy quirked a brow, ’’You sure?" Was it a business season for the motels right now? She was bewildered. Or were they so much in demand?

While she was wondering about it, the receptionist tilted her head in annoyance, ’’Do you have hearing.....’’ issues...?

The words were stuck in her throat when she saw the ’handso man’ standing in front of her.

On her way, Daisy had felt like she was getting too much attention so she had changed her maid clothes at a low-key clothes store where she brought herself so new clothes and switched back to ’Dexter’. Since it was hard to carry so much with her, she left everything in her hotel room.

She was certain that her parents were not even looking for her. They must have mobilized half their forces for Diana because, to them, their elder daughter was a disappointnt.

Not that she gave a shit or two about it. She would rather be a disappointnt than a punching bag. If those fuckers hadn’t manipulated her little sister over the years emotionally and ntally, then she would have gladly pulled Diana with her.

But she knew that getting Diana out of that hellhole was not that easy because Diana herself did not want to leave that place. Hence, she had always been thinking about a gentler approach to extricate Diana from their toxic parents.

And now, she did not even know where Diana was... where her daughter was. All of it... was a ss that Daisy blad herself for.

Daisy did not even have a clue about what must have happened for Diana to leave that mansion out of her own will.

anwhile, as the receptionist looked at the man who was lost in his thoughts, she felt butterflies in her stomach. Dressed in a black turtleneck sweater that was paired with faded jeans, the man had his ash blonde hair in a ss and a pair of erald eyes that were slightly narrowed.

’’S-Sir...?"

Daisy snapped out of her daze. She sighed inwardly and softened her expressions, not wanting to scare away the young girl who seed to be around the sa age as her sister, ’’Well, sorry for troubling you. It seems like it’s the business’ rush hours. My bad,’’ she lifted a shoulder as she turned to leave, thinking of ways to trick the security system of this motel and sneak inside this place.

’’Sir,’’ the receptionist’s panicked voice ca from behind, louder this ti.

Daisy turned to look at her. Why did this poor girl look so scared? Did she intimidate her? She softened her tone too, speaking in a less deep voice, ’’What’s up?"

The receptionist who was scared that the handso man was offended by her rude attitude earlier, was relieved, ’’Sir, I think there is a miscalculation on my side. I think there should be a vacant room left...’’ she said shyly.

Daisy’s eyes widened when she heard that, ’’Really?" As the receptionist nodded, Daisy felt gratified, ’’Oh well then, Princess, let trouble you,’’ Since Daisy was disguised as Dexter, she had no qualms over flattering a lady as a man.

The receptionist who had earlier rolled her eyes at being addressed as ’Lady’ now truly imagined herself as a Victorian-era princess, swaying her gown while walking alongside this handso Prince as she checked the available rooms in her imagination.

After two minutes, she said, ’’Sir, you got really lucky. There is one last room left—’’

’’Which is being taken by ,’’ a voice interrupted.

The receptionist’s lips curled down, ’’Sorry, this room is already booked by this Sir here,’’ Her Prince Charming was still standing there. Which peasant dared to interrupt their mont?

’’I am sure we could do sothing about it, couldn’t we?" asked the deep voice again.

The receptionist raised her head in annoyance and for the second ti in the night, she felt butterflies inside her stomach. If the man from earlier was a handso and charming Prince, this person was more like the evil, rich, and bewitching Duke.

Who the hell did she call a peasant? She was the peasant here, okay?

anwhile, ’the Duke’ Ryle Harper smirked when he saw her stunned expression.

It was not just the receptionist who was stunned, Daisy was stunned too.

Her heart dropped to the pits of her stomach.

Her relaxed expression had wavered the mont she had looked at Ryle who hadn’t looked at her even once when he walked past her.

Behind them, Ryle’s secretary was stunned too. It would barely take them a few minutes to get the room number they were looking for. What did their Boss an by wanting to stay here in so room? At a place like this...? She had seen him in all kinds of luxurious places before but a motel...? Never! What was he lowering his standards for?

She glanced at her Benjamin, hoping for so answer. This person had been by his side for so long so he should know what their Boss’s weird antics this ti were about.

But this ti Benjamin did was not even looking at her. He was glancing at the man standing behind their Boss in contemplation.

’’Well... ’’ The receptionist was put in a spot. What luck did she have today for her to chance upon these godly n? And now, she even had to choose one.
