’’It felt terrible...’’ As she spoke, her eyes teared up again.

’’Shh... Don’t...’’ he held her close to him, ’’Hate , be angry at but don’t cry over . I am not worth it,’’ he whispered.

Daisy frowned. She pushed him back and got up from his lap but before she could walk away, he held her wrist.

’’Daisy, I missed you too.’’

Daisy did not budge from her spot but soon, his tall stature towered over her. The man hugged her from the back as he spoke, ’’If possible, I’d rather tuck you inside my pocket and carry you everywhere with .’’

Daisy sniffed as she raised her hand to fix her hair, ’’I am not a toy.’’

Ryle kissed the top of her head, relieved that she seed to have let it all out. He held her tighter, ’’You are my girlfriend who misses when I am away. What do you think?"

Daisy’s face turned hot when she heard his words.

The atmosphere between them was harmonious and Ryle could not help but be relieved.

He held Daisy in his arms and refused to let her go in the slightest.

The more he thought about incident at the Lu family earlier, the further he felt enraged. His girl was obviously calm and unbothered by anyone’s matters but these bastards still had to co to her and ruin her mood in his absence.

While he was lost in his thoughts, Daisy struggled in his arms.

Ryle loosened his grip on her, ’’What happened?" he touched the tip of her nose, ’’Is there sothing else that’s bothering you?"

Daisy glared at the man who was talking to her in a teasing tone.

’’I have sothing I want to discuss with you,’’ she said coldly.

Ryle coughed a few tis as he rubbed her back, not daring to push her buttons any further.

’’Here...’’ Daisy handed him her phone.

’’Sweetheart, I know your heart is absolutely loyal to . I don’t need to check your phone for that.’’

The man’s nose was almost in the air as he spoke in a ’Which other man can compare to huh?’ tone.

Daisy’s face was darker than the bottom of a pot.

’’Look at the pictures,’’ she did not explain any further and shoved the phone into his hand.

The man finally averted his gaze from her face as he glanced at her phone.

The mont he saw the pictures, his face darkened.

Looking at his reaction, Daisy glared at him, ’’If you tell it is a childhood sweetheart of yours or a newfound sweetheart of yours...’’ she moved away from his lap and sat on the couch as she spoke, ’’Then we discuss this professionally, keeping an appropriate distance between us.’’

Ryle was lost in his thoughts so it was not until she completely moved away from him did her words start sinking in him.

’’What distance? What sweetheart?" Ryle moved forward to sweep her in but Daisy stood up from the couch, ’’Daisy, you are my only sweetheart.’’

Daisy did not say anything as she stood there, arms crossed in front of her chest.

’’The day you left, you were talking to Benjamin. I heard he was speaking about finding so woman. Is it her?" Daisy pointed her chin at the woman in the picture.

Ryle was about to sau sothing but suddenly, he had a realization.

This was the first ti Daisy was asking him about his personal matters. Prior to this, she always seed to have drawn a line as if she had no intention of crossing the line between them or getting involved in his affairs.

The realization left him stumped. Happiness ca too suddenly but he could not even cherish it properly as he saw Daisy’s constantly darkening face.

’’Yes, it’s her but it’s not like what you think...’’ Seeing the sincere and panicked look on his face, Daisy rubbed her nose.

She obviously knew that the person who sent these pictures to her was trying to fra Ryle. And since the mont she saw these pictures, she had never once doubted his integrity.

But she did not know why she beca unreasonable in front of him.

Daisy felt like she should see a psychologist when she got so ti. She was acting very much unlike herself.

When she did not say anything, Ryle quickly got up and approached her, worried that she misunderstood him.

But before he could explain himself, Daisy shook her head, ’’I know. I trust you. I just...’’ she just wanted to see him flustered?

Realizing her own thoughts, Daisy’s lips twitched.

’’You just what...’’ Ryle could sense the fluctuations in her mood but he just waited patiently.

’’I...’’ Her thoughts were rather unpresentable so Daisy cleared her throat and talked about her main focus, ’’The person behind this matter... I don’t think its their first ti scheming against us.’’

Ryle was montarily taken aback by her words too. Initially, he was too concerned about her thoughts to analyze the situation, ’’Are you suggesting that the previous assassination attempts...’’

Daisy nodded. They never figured out who the person was trying to kill. Back in Shanghai, Ryle was attacked and she saved him. In her apartnt, she was cornered. And now, she was receiving such pictures. It would be unusual if she did not join the dots and assu that the mastermind of all these sches was the sa person.

Ryle nodded, ’’But if it’s the sa person, then their ways have changed this ti.’’

Daisy agreed to it. A person who was hellbent on assassinating them initially was trying to sow discord between them. From a hard approach to a completely soft approach, one could not understand what their purpose was.

Ryle frowned.

’’What is it?"

He looked at her, ’’That person is watching us closely.’’

Daisy nodded. She had thought of it too. Their relationship grew very gradually and now that they were so close, that person was aware of it. As for being able to click pictures of Ryle in his private mansion, it showed that the person had their eyes on the both of them.
