As it was late in the night, Draven had decided to bring Ember back to the palace, assuring her he would bring her back once Rhian regained consciousness.

"Where is Morph?" she asked.

"He has gone to help Logan with matters of the human clan. He was a commander until now, so he knows things better," he inford her.

The two left for the palace, while Rhian was left in Cornelia's care.

Morpheus took this as a chance not to return to the palace.

The next day, Rhian showed signs of waking up. Silvia inford them, and along with Cornelia, they headed to check on him.

The mont Rhian woke up, his unsettled gaze spotted the red-haired, beautiful woman scrutinizing him. He furrowed his brows in pain and felt the woman checking his wrist.

He shrugged his hand away with the little energy left in him, looking at her suspiciously. "Where is my sister?" he asked, his voice hoarse.

His first concern was his sister—not where he was or what was happening.

"She is alright and will be here to see you, but I need to check you first," the woman said. "And I am Cornelia Grim. I am treating you here in this healing chamber of the witch clan."

"No need," he shrugged her off once more, as if he didn't trust anyone, and tried to get up, but his body gave up. "What did you do to ?" he asked.

"All I did was heal you and save your life," Cornelia said. Though calm, she looked annoyed at this human's behavior.

"Get my sister here and make sure she is fine," he said impatiently.

"I have sent a ssage to them already. You have to wait," she said strictly, as if there was no way for him to disobey her. She put forward her hand, and a vial appeared in her palm.

Rhian felt like he was seeing things. How could sothing appear in her hand out of nowhere?

"You have to drink this if you wish to have a good conversation with your sister, or you will faint even before she gets here," Cornelia added.

"Who are you? What kind of magic did you just do?" he asked suspiciously.

"I am a white witch, the head of the witch clan," Cornelia answered pridefully, not minding what the human might think.

"Witch? Are you trying to fool ? There's no such thing as witches," he said.

Cornelia felt utterly annoyed at the ignorance of this human and said, "To make you believe —trust —I wouldn't mind using my magic to throw you out of my clan in a mont, let alone allow your human existence to taint it. I am simply holding back because of Ember."

Rhian didn't know what to say. Could she really do it?

"Now behave and drink this, or Ember might feel worried to see you weak and think I didn't treat her brother well," she warned.

"I am not drinking it," he said clearly, making it evident that he didn't trust her.

"Then, I think you asked for it."

Cornelia offered him a silent stare, and the next mont, Rhian found his body immobile. A vial floated in the air and stopped right in front of his mouth. He didn't want to open his mouth, but sohow, he was forced to do so. The next mont, the tasteless liquid poured into his mouth and made its way down his throat.

Once done, the vial disappeared while Cornelia muttered, "Stubborn and annoying humans," and turned to leave the chamber.

Still in shock, Rhian felt sothing different—no longer weak, but all of a sudden, there was a burst of energy inside him.

What did she feed ?

Just then, Draven stepped inside the chamber. Rhian finally found soone familiar and asked, "Where is Ember? Is she alright?"

Draven humd and looked at the door. Ember stepped inside, gazing at Rhian with concern.

Rhian let out a sigh of relief upon seeing her and tried to sit up in bed. Seeing his weak attempts, Draven used his powers to help him sit with ease.

Once more, Rhian was shocked and looked around, wondering how it had happened.

"I used my powers to help you," Draven answered him.

So people with power did exist in this world, he concluded, and blurry fragnts from the previous night flashed before his eyes.

A golden-winged man protecting him and Ember after so mysterious hooded figures attacked them.

"What happened last night? Why did they attack Ember?" Rhian asked.

"It's just that the human clan hates those of us with powers. But you don't have to worry about anything. You should talk to your sister."

Rhian looked at Ember and said apologetically, "I didn't know they used to reach you. I thought they were helping find you. Are you alright?"

"Thank you for protecting ," Ember said. "But they did help you, though their intentions were sothing else," she added. "But you don't have to worry. They can't harm —I have two powerful mates, I an, husbands."

Rhian realized he needed ti to digest everything about this strange place and its people. What he had heard about them while among the human clan now seed to be nothing but the truth.

"We are going to take you to our ho, and you will stay there with us until you get better and are able to return to your kingdom," Ember inford him.

In this strange kingdom, he had no other choice but to agree. Help us out by reading on *.

Rhian rembered sothing and asked, "My two knights—are they alright?"

"They are," Draven assured him. "They are not allowed to enter the witch clan's territory, but once we take you to the palace, you can et them."

"Thank you so much."

After a while, Rhian was allowed to leave. Draven had arranged a carriage for him, as in his weakened state, his human body wouldn't be able to handle teleportation.

Outside, he walked with the help of two warlocks supporting him. He saw the sa red-haired woman speaking to Draven—the one who had fed him that strange dicine, by force, of course.

How arrogant she had been with him—yet she looked calm in front of Draven. Still, even when speaking to the king, she appeared utterly prideful and authoritative.

"…I will co to check on him again to make sure he is entirely healed," Rhian heard her say to Draven.

And force that strange dicine on again? Rhian thought.

As if she had sensed his gaze, Cornelia looked at him. Rhian stared back, showing that he was not afraid of her, witch or not.

"Let's leave," Draven said, and the warlocks helped him into the carriage.

Ember offered to accompany her brother in the carriage, and Draven allowed her while he decided to teleport back to the palace.

"Erlos, I'm leaving it to you," Draven said.

The young elf nodded and took charge of the ride.

Before leaving, Rhian glanced at Cornelia through the window, only to see her turn her back to him and walk away, two other won following her.

Ember followed his line of sight and said, "That's Lady Cornelia. She is one of the most powerful witches and the head of the witch clan."

"Hmm, she said sothing like that," Rhian said. "I'm not sure what to think. I thought witches and all were just myths."

"You would be surprised by many more things in this kingdom."

"Looks like it."

"Once you return, I hope you won't talk about this to anyone. I don't want more humans making their way here and disturbing the peace of the supernaturals living here—just because of . You've already seen what the humans who are here are like."

"I won't," Rhian assured her.

"Does your wound hurt?" Ember asked.

"Not after that woman fed sothing from a small vial."

"She must have given you a potion to help you heal faster and lessen your pain."

"I could feel it after," Rhian said, "but she wasn't very polite while doing so."

Ember chuckled softly, sensing that Rhian had so prejudice against Cornelia.

"Supernaturals here don't really fancy humans, so just bear with them if they're a little impolite to you," Ember suggested.

Rhian humd as he looked outside, observing the beauty of the kingdom.

"So, what kinds of supernaturals live here?" Rhian asked curiously.

Ember told him briefly, not willing to divulge too much information. After all, he was still an outsider.

"…So, your husband is truly a dragon? Can he transform?"

Ember humd. "Last night, to save you, he transford into a dragon and brought you here to the witch clan."

"I have blurry mories of it, but I thought I was dreaming. Seems like I was wrong."

Ember humd.

"That golden-winged person?" he asked.

"My second mate."

Rhian felt a little conflicted and said, "So you have two husbands?"

"Yes."

He didn't know what to say, so he simply added, "As long as you're happy with them…"

He understood, this world was entirely different and must have different rules.

"I am, don't worry about . They both care for ."

Soon, they reached the palace. Erlos guided them inside. Rhian noticed Erlos' ears and said, "So, he's an elf?"

Ember humd. "His na is Erlos. He's the one Draven trusts most and is closest to him."

When they reached the front of a room, Erlos said, "Prince Rhian, this is your room. Two servants are here to assist you. You just have to ring the bell by your bedside, and they will appear to help you."

Rhian simply humd. Once he was settled in his chamber and made to rest, Ember left.
