Leeora closed her eyes, and magic began to surround her body. The seed in her hand floated in the air, enveloped by the magic emanating from her. With her eyes still closed, she began chanting a spell, her hands moving around the floating seed. The seed started to emit magical rays before slowly descending into the ground, disappearing beneath the soil along with all the magic that had been drawn into it.

Leeora opened her eyes and looked at Ember. "We have planted the seed now."

Though baffled, Ember nodded. "Do we have to water it now?"

Leeora shook her head. "No need. It's a magical tree. All you have to do is wait for it to grow."

"How long will it take?" she asked.

"By tomorrow morning, it shall have grown entirely."

"This fast?" Ember asked in surprise.

Leeora chuckled. "Yes. Don't you want it to grow quickly so your mate can build a nest on it for you?"

Ember was taken aback by the remark. She had only thought about it for Morpheus' sake, not her own. Still, she nodded. "Yes."

"Good to see you care for him and are finally coming to terms with accepting him," Leeora said. "Morph is fortunate to have a mate like you."

She could only hum in response, her thoughts conflicted.

"Anything troubling you?" Leeora asked, observing Ember's expression.

Ember looked at her and said, "Maybe, if not for , he would have gotten soone better as his mate. Now he's just stuck with ."

Leeora chuckled softly. "You are overthinking. I believe he is happy to be stuck with you. If not for you, he wouldn't even have a mate at all."

Ember was surprised. "Why do you say so?"

"So many centuries have passed, yet he never cared for any female the way he cares for you," Leeora said. "Maybe all along, he was just waiting for you."

"I don't understand."

"Just give him a chance, and you will know," Leeora said, a light smile playing on her lips. "Now, it's ti for to leave."

Ember, still confused, simply nodded. Leeora left, and Ember knelt on the ground where the seed was planted. "You have to grow into the most beautiful tree. Morph deserves to have his nest on the best tree."

After a while, she returned to Draven's study, as he had said he had sothing to tell her.

Once she reached the study, she, as usual, sat in Draven's lap while he sat in his chair.

"Done with planting the tree?"

She humd and asked, "You said you had sothing to tell ."

He nodded and said, "Soone has arrived in the human territory of our kingdom."

"Who?" she asked casually.

"A young man from the Kingdom of Valor. He is said to be the third prince of Valor, who ca here searching for his lost sister," Draven inford her.

The na Valor—she knew it well. "The Prince of Valor? Does that an… my brother?"

Draven nodded. "He is here for you and wants to et you."

"Why?"

"He insists on talking to you only. Do you want to?" Draven asked.

"But I have nothing to do with them. They wanted to kill ," Ember replied, the pain of how her own family had wanted her dead etched on her face. "Is he here to kill now that I escaped?"

"If he tries to, you can kill him on the spot and show them how powerful you are," Draven said.

Ember hesitated. "Kill him? He is… my brother…"

Seeing her hesitation, Draven could tell she still longed for family and must want to know about them—to et them at least once. "Why not et him once and get to know him? It would be the first ti you're eting any of your family mbers."

She hesitated a little, but deep down, she wanted to do what Draven had just suggested. "Can I?"

He humd. "I will arrange for you to et him."

She inhaled deeply to control her overwhelming emotions and nodded.

"We will have to go to the human territory," Draven inford her.

"Will it be safe?" Ember asked, looking as if she were afraid of humans despite being surrounded by powerful supernaturals.

Draven chuckled. "You don't have to be scared of those humans. Don't forget—you are the mate of the two most powerful supernaturals in this kingdom."

Ember could only agree.

In the night, while Ember was sleeping, Draven headed to his study, where soone was waiting for him—Morpheus.

"Are you truly letting her enter human territory and even et those crafty humans?" Morpheus sounded angry.

"She needs to et her family. It's her brother who is looking for her," Draven replied.

"We are her family now. She doesn't need those pathetic humans," Morpheus spat. "I won't let my mate have anything to do with them. And as her mates, you can't be the only one to decide for her."

"Your mate?" Draven asked as he leaned back in his chair comfortably. "Have you even established the bond?"

"Don't change the topic by mocking ," Morpheus glared at him. "I don't trust those humans at all."

"She has us. What's there to fear? Let her et her brother," Draven said calmly. "She wants to et him as well. If she doesn't, it will keep troubling her. Humans don't have long lives like us. Let her et her human family."

Morpheus sighed. "Then, I'm going with her."

"So am I," Draven replied.

Morpheus finally cald down, only to hear Draven say, "She knows why you are staying away from her."

He looked back at Draven in shock. "Did you tell her?"

"No. She read the book about it. That's how she found out why you keep running away from her. Now, she knows."

"What did she say?"

"You know her well."

Morpheus understood and sighed, looking utterly helpless.

"You can talk to her directly about it. How long do you plan to run from the truth?" Draven comnted.

"I just need a little more ti to settle with it. I can manage to withstand the pull of the bond."

"As you wish," Draven said, knowing there was no use in talking to this stubborn eagle. "You will only listen to her."
