Ember was restless at the thought that the Devil was going to remove the hellfire from Seren but was going to give it to Isis. He didn’t even free her from the chains. Morpheus could sense her strong, restless, and angry emotions.

He held her closer and made her look at him. "You have to keep calm."

Her eyes turned teary as she looked at him. "It feels like he is going to give away my soul. I can’t bear this feeling. And... I feel helpless in front of him."

Morpheus could understand it. Drayvor felt so powerful that anyone would feel dominated by his aura and helpless to fight him. And they were just supernaturals from the mortal world.

He cupped her face in his palms and wiped her tears with his thumbs. "He is on Evanthe’s side. We can trust him to do nothing wrong. Evanthe won’t let anything hurt you. You have to be patient."

Helpless, tears rolling down her eyes, Ember let her head rest against his chest, closed her teary eyes, and didn’t look at what was going to happen. If she saw her hellfire being given to that wicked woman, she would just lose herself right there.

Morpheus wrapped his arms around her and thought, Draven, where are you? You better find your sword and be here.

Drayvor walked towards Drayce and Seren, staying at a certain distance. The father and son looked at each other but had nothing to say.

"The hellfire is almost a part of her body, so it will hurt her, but she will be alright," Drayvor told Drayce and looked at Seren, who was calm but still sowhat afraid of what was to co. She was still holding her weak mother close.

Drayce nodded to what his father said. His words sounded assuring, though they were eting for the first ti. But he couldn’t help asking, "Are you truly passing the hellfire to that wicked deity?"

"We need to remove it from your mate’s body anyway, as it will only hurt her more," Drayvor said. "And I believe you want what’s in the interest of her safety."

Evanthe ca to stand by Drayvor’s side and looked at him, her caral eyes eting his red ones. "We can’t bring another chaos to the world by avoiding one."

He gazed at her for a mont, his eyes scanning her worried expression, but his heart was admiring her—as they were eting after so long.

"Trust ," he said simply, and waited for her response.

Evanthe humd and averted her gaze from him, feeling a little embarrassed at the way he was looking at her—his gaze too intense for her senses.

Just a small, ordinary exchange between the two, but others could feel the effect of it—like two lovers eting after a long ti.

There was silence for a while before Drayvor finally turned to Drayce and Seren.

"You should step aside from her," Drayvor told his son. "Even if you see her in pain, do not ddle in."

Drayce offered a reluctant nod. Seeing her in pain was the one thing he could never bear—but he had to.

Drayvor passed his gaze across everyone, warning them all to step away.

Everyone shifted away from Seren. Morpheus took Ember away as well. All guards and deities braced themselves for the brunt, in case the hellfire caused destruction like in the past.

Evanthe went to Sierra and moved her away by using her powers.

Before moving away, Drayce caressed Seren’s hand and said, "I am here. Don’t be afraid. It will be over soon." Through the bond, he could feel her fear.

She nodded anyway and stood in her place quietly as she watched Drayce step away. She felt like she was an object to be scrutinized, with everyone’s gazes on her.

Drayvor exchanged gazes with Grianor, to which he offered an approving nod. Only the two of them knew what they had in mind, but they seed to be waiting for the right ti for so reason.

Frightening, absolute darkness started to slip out from Drayvor’s body. His eyes changed from red to black, not a tinge of white left in them. The veins of darkness started to appear along his skin, as if not blood but shadows ran through his vessels—showing he was ready to use the extent of his power.

Hellfire was dangerous and uncontrollable, and he had to be at the peak of his power.

His body was lifted into the air as darkness began to surround Seren’s body. The next mont, she fell to her knees as the strong power felt overbearing. Though familiar, she found herself unable to bear it.

It’s alright. I can stand it, Seren thought and closed her eyes.

The next mont, the darkness pierced her body, and a loud scream left her mouth, taking everyone by surprise.

"Seren—" Drayce was about to step forward, but Evanthe stopped him. "It won’t harm her. If you ddle in, it might go wrong. She can handle it."

Swallowing the bitterness of seeing her in pain, Drayce rooted himself in place, his fists clenching at his sides.

Seren’s body was lifted into the air by the darkness surrounding her, a whirlwind of strong powers encircling her—hellfire and absolute darkness.

Seren felt like soone had dug their hand into her chest and was pulling her heart out. It hurt—hurt beyond anything she could have ever imagined, her eyes continued to shed unstoppable pained tears.

The sky turned dark, erasing any signs of light as the hellfire was about to be retrieved.

Back then, when hellfire broke out from the depths of the earth, a similar kind of terrifying atmosphere had been created in all three realms. It was utterly frightening, as if it were ready to destroy everything.

Strong gusts of wind pushed everyone back, like a storm had co to the Heaven Realm. Threatening thunder and lightning roared in the sky.

Finally, in the next few monts, a tiny shining fla-like image was extracted out of Seren’s heart, and she went unconscious—her screams, her pain, finally stopped.

The absolute darkness let go of Seren, causing her to fall toward the ground, while it remained solely focused on controlling the hellfire, surrounding it from all sides.

Drayce hurried to use his power and caught unconscious Seren midair and got hold of her, finally feeling as if his soul was back to his body. He held her firm in his embrace, making sure she was still with him.

On the other hand, that tiny fla-like structure was uncontrollable, and only Drayvor knew how difficult it was to control it entirely.

Isis’s eyes brightened at the sight, her mind already imagining herself as the ruler of the three realms.
