Maya led Erin to the second floor. At the top of the stairs, Maya turned right, heading toward the right wing of the grand floor.

Erin followed, glancing at the left side, which looked beautiful yet unusually quiet, as if the space carried the aura of the one who he decided there.

Two female servants stood by the grand chamber door. They bowed respectfully to Erin and opened it for her. Why is everything here so grand? Are the people here truly this fond of luxury? she wondered.

As she entered the chamber, she was even more amazed. Do they keep such luxurious rooms just for guests? No wonder the Lords of the North-East are the richest in the kingdom, she thought.

The servants helped her settle into the chamber, assisted her in changing clothes, and ensured she could rest comfortably. They made sure the room was perfectly warm so that Erin wouldn’t feel cold anymore.

"My Lady, if you need anything, we are just outside. You can pull the string by the bedside, and we’ll co right away," Maya inford her.

After traveling through the cold, Erin let herself sink into the comforting warmth of the room and couldn’t resist falling asleep. This place felt unusually comfortable to her.

Once Lucian had finished giving Rina her dicine, he remained by her side until she drifted to sleep.

Gwen arrived quietly. "Is she asleep?"

Lucian nodded, and Gwen checked Rina’s temperature by gently touching her forehead. "It feels down now."

Lucian stayed silent, and Gwen added, "She’s not a child anymore. You don’t need to worry so much; she can handle this cold."

Lucian sighed. "I just don’t want to be careless."

Gwen sat at the other end of the bed. "I know you worry because she was born frail, used to be weak, and fell sick easily. But she’s grown stronger now. You worry too much."

"She’ll always be that sa frail little baby to ," Lucian replied.

Gwen sighed helplessly, "I can’t even deny your care towards her. Due to my weak heart, you are the one to take care of her the most. I understand your concern. But you need to rest as well. We don’t want you to fall sick. We have guests as well."

Lucian nodded and asked, "Has she settled into her chamber?"

Gwen nodded, knowing who he was asking about. "You have arranged her stay in the chamber ant for your wife. That’s..."

Lucian t his mother’s gaze firmly. "She is the one."

Gwen’s eyes widened in surprise, but at the sa ti worry filled her mind.. "But her marriage is arranged with Aaron."

"There has been a misunderstanding..." Lucian explained everything to his mother, concluding with, "...I am going to marry her."

"Aaron is truly fine with it?" Gwen asked again.

"Yes."

"And Lady Erin?"

"She doesn’t know yet, but she will understand and will agree to marry ."

Gwen nodded thoughtfully. "If that’s your decision, I have nothing more to say. I only hope she agrees and that you both find happiness together."

Lucian acknowledged her words and listened as she added, "I’ll stay by Rina’s side. Go and get so rest."

He then went upstairs to his chamber, followed by the butler and a few servants. Before turning to the left, Lucian glanced at the right wing of the floor.

"Lady Erin is resting in her chamber," the butler inford him.

Lucian nodded and continued to his chamber. The servants had already ward it, and he lay down on his bed.

------

In the afternoon, the servants ca to wake Erin. They assisted her with everything, and soon she was ready to leave.

As she stepped out of the chamber, she glanced down the long hallway lined with various doors. "Are all of these guest rooms like mine?" she asked.

Maya smiled. "No, my lady. Those are not guest rooms. They are rooms reserved for the lady of the estate, for activities like studying, music..."

"The lady of the estate?" Erin interrupted, giving her a questioning look.

Maya nodded. "Yes, my lady. The chamber you’re staying in is intended for the lady of the estate, and this part of the floor is designated for her," she gestured to the opposite side, "while that side is for the Lord."

Just then, Lucian arrived and saw Erin with the servants. The servants bowed before quietly leaving, understanding they were no longer needed.

Lucian approached Erin, his gaze fixed on her surprised expression. "Did you rest well?"

Ignoring his question, she replied in a displeased tone, "Is this really the chamber ant for the lady of the estate?"

Lucian nodded.

"How could you make stay here?" she asked, feeling annoyed, "I am not ant to be here. Ask your servant to take to so other guest room."

"You are exactly where you’re ant to be," he replied, his gaze serious as he looked at her intently.

Not minding his words, or what he even wanted to say, she spoke, "I know you can be thoughtless at tis, but have you no regard for your brother? What would Aaron think if he knew his soon-to-be wife was staying in the chamber ant for your wife? Don’t you know the strict rules in the noble household?"

He stared at her in silence before responding, "Have you disregarded what I just said? Do you need to repeat it?"

Confused, she asked, "What do you an?"

"I said you’re in your rightful place—the place ant for the lady of the estate, my wife," Lucian replied.

"What?" She looked at him, stunned, as though she’d misheard. "Do you even understand what you’re saying, Lucian?"

He remained unfazed. "I never say anything I don’t an or understand."

"You..." She clenched her fists. "You must have lost your mind. Go see a physician to check if the cold weather has affected your brain," she muttered, stepping forward to walk past him.

But Lucian reached out and grasped her hand, stopping her.

She glanced down at his hand holding hers, then glared up at him. "How dare you."

Lucian held her gaze and replied, his voice and gaze resolute echoed in the hallway, "I don’t like to beat around the bush, so I’ll say it clearly. You are going to marry , not my brother. You’re going to be the lady of the East—my wife, Erin Rainier."
