Leaving Arlan’s study, Oriana went to Arlan’s bedchamber where she kept his coat neatly. She removed the broken brooch from his coat and sighed.

’It took almost two hours to make this and took just a few monts to break it. Next ti I will be careful to not touch the brooch...’ she stopped and frowned at herself, ’next ti? Am I still thinking about having such a next ti with him? There won’t be any next ti. I will talk to Queen Seren and ask her to make a proper excuse so he won’t ask to et lady Ria. I have not gone crazy to go in front of him again as Lady Ria. don’t know what that pervert would do to this ti.’

Oriana left the bedchamber and went to the second floor. She had to do sothing really important. Saying a goodbye to her teacher and then decide on how she could continue her practice of tapping on her power and learning various other things. Once she would be done with it, she could pay attention to the tantrums Prince would throw on her way.

Oriana pulled out the pendent from her pocket and called for her teacher.

In no ti, Oriana heard the woman’s voice. "Already in a hurry to get rid of after learning a few things from ?"

Oriana turned to look at a noble looking beautiful woman in an elegant long black dress appeared in the room. She was standing by the window, looking at Oriana with her brow raised and spoke again, "Are those few things even enough when it’s just a small drop from the sea of skills and knowledge?"

Oriana didn’t argue this ti but said, "I know it’s not enough and I am far from being skilled, but I believe my teacher will keep guiding . Despite the distance between us, she will co to this lowly student."

Rosetta, not really impressed by these polite words from her willful and stubborn student, chuckled loudly, "Suddenly acting so submissive to curry more favors from a teacher?"

"Not currying a favor but isn’t it the teacher’s responsibility to teach their student well? I look forward to my teacher fulfilling her responsibility. I can not let my teacher’s na being sared with the stain of failing to teach her student properly. Can not bring sha to my teacher."

"That smart tongue of yours," Rosetta frowned, "I should have asked to cut that tongue in exchange for my teaching. Would have saved my ears from listening to crap."

"I believe the oath of blood is enough. I can leave without magic but not without this tongue. It has helped with sweet and smart talking and helped survive in the harsh world."

"Sure I can’t doubt it," Rosetta said helplessly, seeing how her student was good with words.

Oriana observed that today Rosetta was not so cold like she always acted but looked a little soft even when she tried to be an with her words. Oriana found it amusing.

’Can this wicked woman really have even a little bit of soft side? She can’t, right? Or may she has it but hides it behind her coldness.’

"Though we will be parting ways tomorrow, you know how to call for ," Rosetta spoke, pulling back Oriana’s attention to the important matter.

"Yes. Once I return Griven, whenever I find a suitable ti, I will call for you."

Rosetta didn’t comnt and put forward her hand and sothing appeared on her palm. It was a small rectangular wooden block like pendant which had so ancient rune’s carved on it’s four sides. There was a thick black string attached to it.

"Your hand," Rosetta looked at Oriana’s right hand.

Without any hesitation, Oriana lifted her hand in front. Though this woman was wicked, Oriana didn’t know how she slowly ca to trust her and knew she would not harm her.

Rosetta held Oriana’s right hand and tied that black thread with a wooden rectangular pendant to Oriana’s wrist. Once tied it, she swapped her hand over it. A black smoke emitted from the pendent and surrounded Oriana’s wrist.

Oriana didn’t feel scared but waited to know what was going on. In a mont that black smoke disappeared from her wrist and centred towards the tiny spot on inside of her wrist.

A tiny mole-like sign was ford on the inside of her wrist. It was not a mole but a tiny imprint of that pendent.

Oriana looked at her wrist and touched that mark with her finger, "What is it?"

Rosetta chuckled, "I thought you would be screaming out thinking I had done sothing wrong to you by using my magic."

"Even though you might want to do sothing wrong with , I am sure it’s not the ti yet." Oriana answered, not a tinge of fear or hesitation in her eyes and her voice.

Rosetta eyed her smart student and a mocking smile appeared on her lips. Knowing she had ulterior motives, this young witch bravely threw herself at the danger.

’Brave! My student should be nothing but be brave, without a tinge of fear.’

Rosetta explained, "This is one of the most powerful ancient artefacts made from ’Absolute Darkness’."

"Absolute darkness?" Oriana asked, seemingly puzzled.

Rosetta understood her question. "The most powerful attribute which is much more powerful than the kind of darkness we mortal world supernatural possesses. The absolute darkness originated from the depth of hell belongs to the Devil, the only true owner of it. He is the most powerful, the absolute, that not even gods can defeat him."

Oriana was thrilled to hear it and asked, "Does he really exist?"

Rosetta chuckled in response and said, "This artefact can protect its user even if the strongest power in the world has to attack you. Whether it’s a darkness or divine power, it can fail their attack and protect the owner of this artefact. Even if the god attack you with absolute divine power, this artefact can fail it."

Oriana’s eyes widened and she looked at Rosetta in disbelief. "Why are you giving such a powerful thing?"

"This was given to by my teacher and I am now giving it to you. Moreover, in return for that brooch you gave , I had nothing else to give you."

"Shouldn’t you keep this to protect yourself?" Oriana asked in disbelief.

Rosetta scoffed mockingly, "Do you think I am weak like you to need such an artefact to protect myself?"

Oriana kept quiet as she could see Rosetta must have given it to her after much consideration or why would she give such a precious artifact to her.

Oriana smiled sweetly like a little girl. "Thank you for the gift, Teacher."

"I hate that sweet smile on your face. Make sure to not smile in front of like that. Grow up," Rosetta said coldly.

Oriana suppressed her smile sohow and nodded, "Yes, Teacher."

"Rember you can use this artefact only once in your life so don’t use it recklessly. Use it only when you have left with no other choice. Desperation is the key."

"I will keep that in mind."

Thud!

A pile of heavy books appeared on the table out of thin air and Oriana looked at them, first surprsued and then it was replaced by a smile.

"More books for ?" With a wide grin hurried towards the table and kneeled on the floor to take a look at those books.

"When I am away, I don’t want you to slack and turn into a lazy student. You have to read these books and practice using your powers in different ways."

She looked at Rosetta, "Can I do it on my own."

Rosetta nodded. "It’s like you know how to cook but now you need to learn new recipes from the book by following the instructions written in it. You can do it even without my guidance."

"I will do my best," Oriana smiled widely, seemingly excited to broaden the horizon of using her powers.

Rosetta frowned deeply.

Understanding the aning, Oriana quietly shut her widely grinning mouth. "Thank you so much, Teacher."

"Teacher? Sounds childish," a frowning line on her forehead deepened.

"Umm, alright. I will call you Master."

"Sounds good."

Oriana smiled again only to get a narrowed eyed look from Rosetta. She suppressed her smile and opened one of the books. She read sothing and looked up to ask about it to Rosetta but....

"She is gone already?"

Oriana sighed. "Never mind. I can do this on my own."

She then looked at that tiny mole-like mark on her wrist and thought. ’How shall I suppose to use it? I forgot to ask her. Does it need any spell to activate it?’ she clicked her tongue, ’I don’t think I will even need to use it. With my simple life why would I co across soone powerful who would attack ? I am simple and harmless person.’

She stood up and used spatial magic and all the books on the table disappeared the next mont.

She chuckled. ’Having power is not a bad thing at all.’

She went downstairs and now she had to take care of the next matter. That bratty prince wished to et lady Ria and she had to do sothing about it.
