Rage began to consu Nabû-Zēr, and the tower around them began to tremble under his emotions.

The spiritual energy around them began to increase rapidly. While this was an advantage for Nabû, as being an entity did not limit the rate at which he consud this, it was an advantage for Evelyn, too.

Whatever vendetta he had against these people, it was blinding his perception. He was constantly digging a deeper hole for himself, madness taking control of him.

The bricks from the structure at this ti began to regenerate. Nabû-Zēr transford these into spears. The spears’ blade resembled an eagle’s talons, the wood a lion’s mane.

Just like the last spears he generated, these flew towards the group. Evelyn and the others were prepared for it this ti, standing their ground.

However, as the spears ca face-to-face with them, they turned into fresh water. As the water splashed onto them, it sank into their skins and tried its best to mix into their system.

"Poison?!" Evelyn shouted.

Evelyn let her signature drop for but a mont, releasing this poison from their bodies. Nabû tried his best to follow up on it, but by the ti he had generated more spears, the poison was manipulated by Evelyn and was flying towards him.

He had no choice but to jump down the tower to avoid it.

"Ignorant mortals! Do thou not know not what they shall do to you!"

Nabû caught himself before he could completely fall off the tower and commanded a spear below him. The spear flew up to the top before placing him down.

"Thou did not co for those two, but now I shall—have to kill them. You cannot imagine the horrors they will put you through, of their accursed bloodline. Stop protecting them, and I shall grant you life!"

"Why do you keep talking? Are you trying to convince us not to kill you? It’s not happening." Leo said.

Nabû did not respond, simply sensing the contents of the building. At the very bottom, he found Simon, Silas, and Haruto. He tried to launch a spear at the first two, but there seed to be a barrier around them.

This barrier was a seal Haruto had placed, one that denied his spiritual energy from entering the room. Simon had told him to place this not too long ago.

"What was that?" Haruto said.

"A spear. I told you, he would try to kill us imdiately if he found us."

However, he only noticed there were two spears instead of three, which threw him off. Simon walked towards these spears, looking at the walls they ca from.

From there, he saw the eye with a transcription on it, and it imdiately put him into a deep sleep.

When he opened his eyes, he was still in the tower, but in a different room. Simon looked to his right, seeing citizens roaming the streets of an ancient city.

The moon was high in the sky, candles lit across the streets as the people of the ancient city road. Whether they were going ho or elsewhere, Simon could not tell.

What he could tell was a noticeably younger version of the entity sitting next to a bed. On the bed lay an elderly man in his late eighties.

He looked sickly, coughing blood into a cloth as the elder Nabû gripped his hand lightly.

"Zēr. The šēmus will arrive at sunrise."

"Yes, Father. I understand, but please, rest easy."

The elderly man seed to get enraged by this, using what little strength he had to slap Nabû. The strike did not hurt, but it deeply wounded his father’s pride.

"Thy dare tell to ’rest easy,’ when you lay with a foreigner with no na!"

Nabû did not respond to the hoarse voice. The man sounded as if he was struggling through every breath, but still he fought. It was clear he would fight until his last.

"Father, Jeanne’s blood may not be royal, but she is accepted by the royal family of her country."

"And why should I care for that?! Son, that woman is no different from a bastard! Coming to our land and bringing this disease... If thou did not wish to marry her, I would have her head!"

His father coughed, and Nabû rushed for the goblet on his nightstand. He stood on one knee, slowly pouring the dicine into his mouth. After the man drank half of the contents, he held his hand up, instructing Nabû to stop.

"Thou art my heir, Zēr, the rightful heir to Babylon. Do not let your brothers claim it, thou art my eldest."

"Yes, yes, I know, Father. If the crown does not fall into my hands, horrors will plague this land. War will break out, no matter my marriage to a foreign woman."

"Do not take my will out of this room on thine own, request a maiden to prove thou hast not changed its contents."

"...Yes, Father."

Simon was confused by this scene, Nabû looked almost... Human. But this didn’t make sense; this was clearly a mory of his, so why did it look like Earth?

(How is he human? No, how is he an entity now? What happened to him? How is this even possible to do?)

Simon had many questions, but none of them could be answered from this scene alone. What was more important, however, was finding a way to get out of this.

(Damn it. I need to stop looking into people’s eyes. This is the second ti I’ve been trapped under soone’s hypnosis.)

He was more annoyed at this fact than anything; he knew he would break out eventually. Whether it be Haruto breaking him out, or him doing it himself.

The main question of importance was why he got transported into Nabû’s mories. Simon had no reason to be here, unless it was the only way he could put him under hypnosis.

But this way, it would be more of telepathy than hypnosis. Simon put his index finger and thumb on his chin, trying to decipher this.

He couldn’t conclude anything before the door suddenly swung open. Simon did not understand this. From the mories he had seen so far, it was clear that they didn’t want anyone else entering the room.

The man who entered the room had shaggy, short raven-black hair, wearing an outfit that was only fit for a royal. However, it was far beyond its ti, looking as if it were from the dieval era of Great Britain.

He had onyx eyes that resembled the deep sea. Almost as if he were lifeless.

"Sē-Crest! You’re here!"
