Chapter 78: One Step Closer and It Will Explode

[The original return path is gone. Check the hopage for another route.]

The black skirt was lifted, and milk-white thick stockings wrapped her delicate legs. A hint of soft flesh showed at her waist, like a second layer of skin, tightly outlining the curve of her raised hips under tension.

Her toes strained as she stood on tiptoe on the wool carpet, trying to shift the desk, causing her body to sway slightly. Even from a distance it carried an irresistible allure.

This scene…

Eve’s eyelids rose unevenly, her head tilting as she tried to analyze what exactly her Young Miss was doing.

Too far. Perhaps she should move closer to see.

At this mont Vivian was imrsed in her own world, unaware of anything around her. She had not noticed the extra figure behind her and let out restrained, irritated whimpers.

Was moving a desk really this strenuous?

Fortunately, when choosing the desk she had insisted on right-angled edges instead of rounded ones—right now it proved extrely useful.

Really… being interrupted earlier while playing with the pillow had already been frustrating enough, and afterward that fool’s accidental actions made it impossible for her to calm down again.

Thinking of this, veins appeared on Vivian’s forehead as she scolded in embarrassnt and anger, “Eve, you idiot! Blockhead! Jerk!”

The maid raised an eyebrow. Being cursed while doing nothing—why again? From past experience, her instincts told her it was better not to interrupt.

Soon after ca a relieved cry, and the red-haired girl lost balance and slid down onto the soft wool carpet.

Her delicate face showed a strained expression as though suffering great impact, her body curled like a cooked shrimp.

Impressive. Truly impressive. The intense struggle left Eve unconsciously parting her lips slightly, even her calm expression unable to hide her astonishnt.

The protagonist still breathed heavily. As she rubbed the tears at the corner of her eyes, she noticed a shadow covering her.

Her heart skipped.

Her relaxed body instantly tensed again.

Vivian’s widened eyes trembled. In her mind she had already completed an entire process of chopping the intruder into pieces, sealing them in concrete, and throwing them into the sea.

She swore that when she turned around—if it was not the person she hoped—

Their eyes t the next second. Despite Vivian’s flushed face, sweat on her forehead, unstable breathing, and tired drooping eyes…

All those signs led the white-haired maid, who had never encountered such situations before, to ask out of duty:

“I noticed you have not eaten dinner, so I had the kitchen prepare sothing. While it is still warm, perhaps—”

“You saw it, didn’t you?”

The simple sentence, though calm, carried unmistakable interrogation, stopping Eve from introducing the seafood porridge in the bowl.

Seeing her nod, Vivian swallowed and closed her eyes, asking slowly word by word, “When did you arrive…?”

“When you called

an idiot blockhead.”

Oh. So just before the peak. Which ant during the peak…

Vivian dared not think further. She wished everything were an illusion, but reality was cruel.

Such perfect timing?

Finally alone, yet caught twice within a day. The first ti was manageable—she had not reached it. But this second ti…

She had reached it completely.

Vivian sighed deeply, embarrassed and irritated. Raising her head, she pointed coldly at her. “Why were you peeking? Why did you not knock?”

“Young Miss said knocking was unnecessary. Also, I was not peeking.”

“Then what were you doing just now?!”

“I stood openly behind you. You seed absorbed in… attempting to move the desk, therefore you did not notice .”

Was that correct?

Yes, it was.

“What nonsense is this? Could you not tell what I was doing? I was already—” Vivian cut herself off halfway, suddenly wondering if the problem was her.

Do not corrupt the innocent ()

“I am very sorry, Young Miss. I have never perford such behavior before. Please understand.”

“You… I…”

Vivian’s pointing hand trembled, clenched, then covered her own face. She even abandoned the idea of warning her not to tell anyone.

“You… have you never tried it? I an… not just this. Anything similar?”

Eve shook her head, placing the tray onto the desk while ignoring a reflective patch at the corner. She rely wondered why the scent in the air seed familiar.

Seeing this, Vivian grew even more frustrated. Striking cotton produced no reaction—she still could not get used to it.

It was unbearable. She almost suspected even doing it openly before this girl would get no reaction at all. Indifference should not reach this level.

The one suppressing emotions was soone else—who could it be?

Well, perhaps it was fine… at least no misunderstandings. She could even say she was mining, and Eve would not think otherwise.

At least, Vivian believed so. She cald down and glanced at the unmoving maid, speaking tiredly, “He—help

up.”

Eve complied, bending down and lifting her with an arm under her knees, yet remained standing.

Until Vivian cursed again and pointed at the desk irritably. “Carry

there to sit! Must I say every step? Can you not think? Did all your brain grow uselessly in your chest?!”

She moved, causing Vivian to hum uncomfortably while shifting in her arms.

Aftereffects always brought regret, yet the sensations carried an undeniable embarrassnt.

Her so-called recovery period passed quickly. In an instant, strange aning returned to her tired eyes. Sohow, even a simple princess carry almost made her lose composure again.

In short—another [taboo]. Now it truly would never dry.

When Eve sat with her in the high-back chair, Vivian still covered her face and breathed heavily, her toes curling slightly—probably from the cold.

No, no… too embarrassing. Being pressed together like this, she absolutely could not make any humiliating sounds.

Vivian never expected she had ignored Eve’s special privileges. At this mont, touching her leg was sothing Eve would indeed do—and with that single touch—

“Eek!!!”
