Desperation settled in...

Amidst the myriad threads, Zhang Zhiyun fluttered like a butterfly in a storm, seemingly always in peril, yet unscathed in reality, while Shen Yuan, who appeared to have the upper hand, started showing signs of impatience. Upon closer inspection, one could even see that his energy was notably fading.

And as for himself, his loss was minimal.

The Thunder Walk Technique was originally a rather diocre art, similar to the Wind Walk Technique in that both utilized elents to cloak oneself and achieve high speeds. However, for a Magician whose physical body wasn’t particularly tough, the technique wasn’t very useful; a Magician unable to react swiftly enough might even die by misusing it.

To utilize this technique effectively, one had to practice both magic and martial arts. The Blood Demon Clan was uniquely blessed, able to enhance both their physical bodies and spiritual power exceptionally, surpassing any other species in the world in terms of the speed and quality of their evolution!

Clearly, although his opponent’s technique countered his Magical aspect, it failed to consider another factor. It seed that Chen Qing had not anticipated their true identities. But, thinking about it, that made sense, given that their clan had orchestrated plans over two Reincarnations without even those who ruled the world, the Reincarnators, noticing them. How could Chen Qing, a newcor, be aware of their movents?

The choice was not incorrect, indeed clever; though lavish, the thod was miraculous against Magicians of a higher level than oneself.

But, unfortunately... he had encountered him.

Zhang Zhiyun had gradually recovered from his initial astonishnt and was now responding calmly. The prideful impulsiveness at the beginning was also dissipating. Now he realized it wasn’t much necessary because, after dealing with this issue, more challenging problems awaited him.

Whether it was Murong Ziyi or Zhang Xiaoyun, both were quite troubleso, but as for Zi Yue... he didn’t really regard him.

"Is this really a good ti to be distracted?"

That faint voice suddenly drew close, snapping Zhang Zhiyun back to alertness. When he looked up, he discovered the opponent was unexpectedly less than three feet away!

Zhang Zhiyun frowned, his heart sinking unknowingly. When had this guy co so close? The opponent was a Magician; even if he were absent-minded, he should have sensed if the other had moved.

No, that wasn’t right...

His glance swept the surroundings, and it dawned on him. The opponent hadn’t moved; rather, under his manipulation of myriad threads, the division of space had brought them closer together.

Space, once cut, doesn’t shatter like a mirror but rather, gaps between create mutual attraction like magnets. Thus, generally, if space is disrupted, it recovers in a few monts, but like the opponent, continuously breaking it leads it to reorganize chaotically into different configurations, changing the locations.

By now, the layout of the White Tiger Palace was completely altered from the myriad beginnings, buildings around twisting bizarrely due to the complete disarray of space. The opponent had unknowingly shortened the distance to him, undetected by him.

However, he was curious; he hadn’t noticed, but surely the opponent was fully focused. He dared to close the distance between them?

Mad, wasn’t it?

Perhaps there was so trap?

Zhang Zhiyun sneered, reaching towards the opponent. As soon as he did, he felt it – an invisible distance, his hand unable to near the other.

"Do you think such tricks would work on ?"

He was already tired of seeing these tricks used by the people from Jiangnan Academy.

Spiritual Power shifted, and a Technique instantly ford in his hand, the Folded Space almost instantly disintegrating, unfolding between the two of them.

And then, both of them, due to the unfolding of the Folded Space, were drawn by a force toward the center of that space.

In opposition, equates to advantage; this is an energy formula few are aware of.

Zhang Zhiyun, however, was well-aware, and in his view, this tactic could only be used against amateurs, as any experienced combatant could capitalize on it to quickly gain the upper hand on their foe.

At this mont, a trendous suction caused Shen Yuan’s entire body to distort. He clearly hadn’t predicted such vulnerability without any protection, whereas Zhang Zhiyun had preemptively fortified himself. Faced with imnse spatial suction, Zhang’s body, layered with condensed energy, could counteract the force of the spatial compression.

Both individuals moved toward the central point at the sa ti, and Zhang Zhiyun didn’t even plan to continue fighting. Judging by the opponent’s completely unprotected stance, by the ti they converged at the center, that guy would probably be completely deford by the pressure.

Do these Jiangnan Academy people really think that, just because they’ve received a bit of inheritance from Dragon Palace, they can dominate in the realm of space?

A frog in a well!

When it cos to spatial barriers, the Technique Dynasty already advanced to the third stage. The stuff from Dragon Palace doesn’t even qualify as a basic course!

However, the Skywind Thread that could slice through space was sowhat interesting. Later, he would collect a few threads, take them back to study their structure; they should be useful in certain situations.

Oh right, the opponent was also handling Skywind Thread, and as he was being pulled by the spatial suction, the thread in his hands would probably be sucked in too. Zhang Zhiyun needed to be cautious.

Realizing this, Zhang Zhiyun quickly turned his head to check, and sure enough, countless threads followed Shen Yuan toward the center of the fold in space, where they might slice up the unfolded space into fragnts the mont the two converged at the center.

This scene made Zhang Zhiyun gasp, glad that he had reacted in ti...

Imdiately, he turned around, intending to activate the Thunder Walk Technique just as he was being sucked into the center, to swiftly dodge the Skywind Threads rolling toward him.

Fortunately, while dense and disorderly, the gaps between the incoming Skywind Threads weren’t very tight, making them easy to dodge. There was no need to blow up the newly unfolded space with a high-level technique, thereby avoiding unnecessary expenditure.

But just as he was pondering this, suddenly, he felt unable to exert any strength.

His mind was still active, but his body completely failed to respond; it seed he had lost control over his body in an instant.

This startled him. Could there be a trap here?

Just as he thought to turn around and see what was happening, he discovered he couldn’t turn back at all—not even his neck could move.

No... it wasn’t that his neck couldn’t move, but rather... his neck was gone!

A glance from the corner of his eye revealed that his body had beco separated from his head...

Skywind Thread?

How could that be?

Was there a Skywind Thread hidden at the center of the spatial fold?

No... such threads require soone to manipulate and control them; they couldn’t be used as traps. If not controlled continuously, the compressed wind energy inside would burst out causing the threads to snap. It could only be managed by soone holding it.

There was only one possibility: the opponent hid a thread, took advantage of his montary lapse in vigilance, and when he turned to check behind, deployed the thread to sever his head.

But that shouldn’t be possible. He clearly saw the opponent being sucked in wholly unprotected by the spatial force. Under such forces, surrounding elents were distorted and stretched; without preparing a technique in advance, once pulled in, it was impossible to gather elents to form a new technique. For a magician, being dragged into such a reverse flow of space was tantamount to a death sentence.

What on earth had this guy done?
