"Did you also receive the invitation?"

In the Imperial Study, the Emperor looked at the invitation, a flicker of amused interest crossing his eyes.

Ever since he had inherited that mysterious power, he had not slept for three years. Under such circumstances, soone had managed to deliver the invitation right to him, appearing quite suddenly on the desk of his Imperial Study.

He had imdiately felt a surge of magical energy at the mont of its appearance but, from beginning to end, he couldn’t sense its origin or destination; the invitation had just materialized...

That was not the most crucial part, though, the most crucial part was that King Xiang had also received one.

At that mont, within the King Xiang Palace, King Xiang was sitting in his study, frowning at the invitation.

The content of the invitations was the sa, stating it was to invite "Your Majesty" to a ceremony.

It seems that he and the Emperor were considered the sa, yet... how did the sender manage to deliver the invitation to King Xiang Palace?

The King Xiang Palace was protected by a magical barrier, which no one could enter without King Xiang’s permission, not even he himself. The fact that soone could deliver an invitation into it suggests...

"This Heavenly Master Mansion is not simple," King Xiang remarked. "Do you know the details?"

The Emperor shook his head, "Back when the King of Qin was at the height of his power, wielding the strength of the ancient Sky Totem, his armies would detour around Yundu. The King of Qin probably knows more than ."

"You actually don’t know?" King Xiang gave the King of Qin a deep look. "You have ignored Yundu for twenty years; I thought you knew how troubleso Yundu could be."

"I rely wished to avoid complications," the Emperor said indifferently. "At the ti, the factions and individuals we had to face were already complex enough. How could we possibly provoke an unknown presence? When the Mother and Child Ghost Temples were spreading, it was evident that Yundu carried a significant royal destiny, yet the Black Queen from beginning to end had no intention of doing anything to Yundu. I knew then that Yundu was not simple."

"No wonder..." King Xiang nodded. In his last cycle, the Royal Capital had always been located in Yundu, which occupied the central position of the Central Plains. With three major city gates standing tall, not only was it surrounded by fertile fields for miles, but it also had rivers running through it, making the terrain perfect for trade and defense – a natural birthplace for a king. It was almost the default selection for the Royal City.

The location was far superior to that of the current Capital. In theory, if conditions allowed, they should have moved the capital there long ago. It turns out they didn’t dare to stir the waters.

"I didn’t expect that, during my hibernation, such a fascinating power would erge," King Xiang said, looking at the invitation. "What do they an by inviting ?"

"I only heard rumors," the Emperor said in a soft voice. "During the Sorcerer Dynasty era, the Heavenly Master Mansion held great authority. When the Heavenly Master’s Order was issued, all magicians under the heavens dared not disobey. With each selection of a new Heavenly Master, invitations were sent to Emperors of the surrounding grand sorcerer families and major dynasties, whether from the Northern Wasteland or the Southern Barbarians. If I am not mistaken, it seems that as long as one is recognized with the title of Emperor, they are included in the invitation list."

"Oh?" King Xiang suddenly laughed. "How interesting. Does that an that, if I had been born in their era, they would have invited too?"

"That seems to be the implication," the Emperor responded with a smile.

It appeared that the Zhang Family of Yundu had made a significant move this ti, managing to deliver an invitation to the King Xiang Palace. It seems that as long as one was in this world, they should have received an invitation. The Celestial Serpent Palace must have received theirs too, right?

------------------------------------

"A human Heavenly Master?"

In the center of the Northern Territory, in the heart of Northern You City, which was once the Royal Capital of the Northern Wolf Country, nine pythons coiled around every corner of the city, their trendous heads gathered together, all staring at a floating invitation.

The hierarchy within the Celestial Serpent Palace was complex, where the mighty ruled. Millions of pythons were governed by these nine Serpent Kings, and under them was a group of people in cloaks of various colors.

"There was once a dynasty in the human world that was said to have changed an era. What exactly it changed, we do not know. We only know that when the Heavenly Master is selected, every recognized king would receive an invitation. It seems that your being invited is to be expected."

"Recognized?" the nine pythons hissed, emitting black venom. "What right do re humans have... to recognize us?"

The players from the Guild below remained silent. re humans – one such re human-born Emperor was about to march into the Northern Territory and strip you of your skins. Where does this arrogance co from?

"Is it necessary to participate?" asked one of the nine giant pythons. Among them was a completely white one, although the smallest, with clear eyes distinctly different from the terrible pupils of the other pythons, resembling two beautiful dragon-like pearls.

The voice was also feminine.

"It should be necessary." One of the guild players looked up and said, "If we follow their rules, the Emperor of the human realm should also be involved. With such an opportunity to et face-to-face, should we not take a look?"

The Emperor of the human realm...

The huge black and cold eyes stared down, "Is that the Emperor of the human realm you ntioned, who is supposed to co to us with Ghost Soldiers seeking trouble?"

"Yes...."

"Hmph... does he even have ti to attend that?"

"If invited, I think he probably wouldn’t decline. Everyone is curious about Yundu, what powers it contains, and why it calls for all the Emperors. At this juncture of impending battle, what exactly is this power plotting? We think it’s very necessary to take a look."

"If we don’t go and the other forces do, we won’t know what they’re planning, will we?"

The pythons looked at each other with hesitant eyes, "But the Northern Territory needs us to stand guard...."

"Not all need to go." The leading player said, looking up, "For two Serpent Kings to go would already be a significant gesture. It would also be the perfect opportunity to gather intelligence, and if the Emperor goes too, we could even consider launching an early assault, catching them off guard!"

This idea indeed aroused the interest of all the giant pythons.

Now that the Ghost Soldiers had been deployed, it would be an opportunity if the Emperor, whose strength was unknown, were not present.

"So, who should go?"

"Let go..." The White Serpent twisted several tis in mid-air, and in an instant, her bones rapidly changed shape, transforming into a dazzlingly beautiful woman of pure white.

"You have difficulty shapeshifting and make too much noise when you move. Let Elder Lie and go," she said.

All the pythons turned towards a certain direction where a pitch-black mist lood. Within the mist, a pair of eerie green pupils appeared imnsely terrifying, and everyone looked on with a strange curiosity. Lie was the na of an elder from the last generation of the Celestial Serpent Palace, and a senior survivor among those present.

With the reopening of the Celestial Serpent Palace, all the Celestial Serpents had been invited from outside the skies by Lie, who acted as the backbone.

"Girl... do you want to go?" asked Lie’s voice from the darkness, with a drake-like quality, unlike the other pythons’ deep tones, rather sharp and piercing.

"The younger generation wishes to go," nodded the White Serpent. "Elder Lie has the best transformation ability among us. I would feel more at ease with you leading."

"Is that so..." The serpent head in the black mist nodded, and then turned to the guild players below, "And you? How many will you send?"

"We suffered heavy losses last ti, so we cannot send many..." A woman in red removed her bamboo hat. "I will go myself."

"Oh?" The eyes in the black mist imdiately shone brightly, "You’re going personally?"

The red-clothed woman smiled slightly, saying nothing. anwhile, the White Serpent in the sky was surprised. Lie, the diator of this mystical cycle, ought to know the details about her. From the tone of voice, this red-clothed woman must have an exceptional background.

"It seems... there must be sothing you want at the Heavenly Master Mansion."

"That’s not for you to worry about," the red-clothed woman said with a smile. "And it’s just right—I also want to et this Emperor of the human realm who has pushed us to this point and see what kind of person he really is."
