The Divine Palace beyond the heavens, the Abyssal Demon Realm, and even so of the demon statues hidden within the Mortal World, all fell into silent contemplation following the fall of those two beams of Buddha Light.
Even the proud Three-Eyed God General remained wordless at this mont.
This ti, even he might have to acknowledge that the humans on the surface now possessed the capability to slay gods.
Perhaps so still refuse to accept this, insisting that it’s only due to the Taoist Sect’s elixirs granting them such power. But, if this were humanity from a few eras ago, no matter how many elixirs they consud until death, could they even form a single Extraordinary Army?
An Extraordinary Army—this is already the pinnacle of military forces. With a King Level leader, top-tier Transcendents as generals, and Transcendent soldiers forming its ranks, it represents the highest caliber of military might. Even Heaven’s Court, at its peak, with its one hundred thousand Heavenly Soldiers, was only on par with this level.
Though the Human Race’s current military strength might not yet fully rival Heaven’s Court, given more ti...
"Chen Qing... very dangerous, and Jiangnan... even more so!" the Divine General said slowly.
anwhile, within the Heavenly Palace, the Divine General stood behind the Long Family’s Ziwei Emperor. At this mont, the woman who shared the sa divine authority as Jiangnan’s Ziyue carried an overwhelmingly complex expression as she looked toward Jiangnan, yet her deanor radiated an icy and terrifying chill.
"You are correct..." she said, then turned abruptly, her sleeve sweeping the air. "What’s the status of the preparations at the Heavenly Soldiers Pool?"
"Proceeding smoothly..." the Three-Eyed God General replied in a low tone. "Perhaps the Outer Demons and other abyssal entities sensed the Void Beasts. Many have co seeking sanctuary in Heaven’s Court. Right now... if we forego any cost considerations and initiate essence blood transmutation, the Heavenly Soldiers could be fully awakened within five months!"
"Good..." Ziwei nodded at these words.
Heaven’s Court’s initial military formation typically progressed rapidly. Various great demons offering their essence blood at the Heavenly Pond aided in the revival of Heavenly Soldiers. In return, Heaven’s Court provided either divine titles or resources—an arrangent that had always earned decent acclaim.
Now, all Twenty-Eight Constellations of Heaven’s Court were Outer Demons. While their status couldn’t compare to the inner ranks of Divine Generals, it still offered a vastly superior alternative to wandering and eking out an existence outside. Many Great Demons, pressed by the Otherworldly Demon Statues, ceased their hesitations and joined one after another, swelling the numbers tenfold compared to the past.
This opening move was greatly favorable to Heaven’s Court.
"Count the numbers, confirm the quality, and then..." With a simple gesture of her fingers, Ziwei’s motion chilled everyone to their cores.
Heaven’s Court was known for its adherence to rules, with three eras of built-up reputation. Was it planning to gamble it all away in one move?
They all understood what Prince Ziwei intended: slaughter all the demons, extract their essence in one swift stroke. This thod’s efficiency far outstripped individual offerings. However, its drawback was equally glaring—should Heaven’s Court fail to unite the heavens this ti, there would be no next ti...
Once word of this got out, no Outer Demons would ever seek refuge again, and Heaven’s Court’s foundation to restart would be utterly destroyed.
"Does Your Highness not wish to reconsider?" The Three-Eyed God General frowned. Even with his own aggressive temperant, he felt this gamble was too reckless.
"What is there to reconsider?" Ziwei sneered. "Do you question the intelligence from my imperial father?"
"Your subordinate dares not!" The Three-Eyed God General quickly bowed fearfully.
"Hmph..." Ziwei snorted coldly, then turned her gaze to the other Divine Generals. "Don’t delude yourselves. This ti, the Otherworldly Entities will undoubtedly descend. Postponing until the next era is no longer an option. This ti... if we fail, then we have no choice but to shut this world down and retreat to Digital City!"

"Grandfather... the South..." Old Liu’s grandson looked far into the distance, where the Buddha Light faded, his face pale.
Lately, the Buddha Kingdom’s defeats had been mounting.
First, that useless Old San lost the Space-Ti Jade. Then, despite Grandfather personally taking action, he failed to seize the Eyes of Direct Death from Chen Qing. Not only did Chen Qing suffer no losses, but he also gained two Innate Dao Fruits in the process!
Now, even Chen Qing’s subordinates had grown into such formidable threats. They could kill two Buddhas and clear their influence from local Buddhist Temples—all without Chen Qing even being present!
Old Liu closed his eyes, saying nothing for a long ti.
It had been ages since he experienced such setbacks. Things had gone so poorly that it soured his mood.
Yet it was also quite intriguing.
Old Liu opened his eyes, a faint smile on his lips. From the mont he deployed Chen Qing, he knew one of them would have to die. Likewise, the Buddha Kingdom and the mortal forces could not coexist.
The fourth version of history was now irreversibly advancing. Outer Demons lood in ominous vigilance, and the Buddha Kingdom thrived on the Mortal World. The stronger the Mortal World grew, the stronger the Buddha Kingdom. This ti, the world’s awareness had shattered its past reservations, utterly refusing to cooperate with him anymore.
From that mont on, he understood he was locked in an all-or-nothing scenario with this world.
Either he devoured the world’s consciousness along with the exceptional heroes it cultivated, causing the Buddha Kingdom to swell into the dominant faction—or he would be entirely consud by the Mortal World, leaving nothing behind!
This was the inevitable structure of fate. He had long anticipated this day and thus unleashed Chen Qing to siphon away the world’s destiny.
He simply didn’t expect Chen Qing to perform too brilliantly, almost stealing the spotlight entirely.
"Don’t worry..." Old Liu chuckled. "Jiangnan is the strongest force in the Mortal World. If they can’t handle even a couple of Buddhas, then so be it—the world’s destiny is rely that faint. The Shen Family, isn’t it..."
Old Liu nodded slightly. Truly talented individuals. Were they willing to serve the Buddhas, he would grant them abundant benefits despite their native origins. But if they insisted on defiance...
"But Grandfather, about Jiangnan..."
"Shh..." Old Liu silenced him with a soothing gesture, smiling as if pacifying a child. "The heavens are watching."
The boy imdiately stopped speaking. Indeed, during this mortal war, all eyes—be it Outer Divine Generals or Abyssal Demon Races—were upon them.
"No need to fret... In Lyuzhou, we have capable hands. The Thousand-Faced Fox cannot escape..."
"Capable hands?" The boy was puzzled. The Battle Saint Buddha guarded Chen Qing outside the Imperial City, and the Future Buddha was in seclusion. Who else would qualify as ’capable hands’... could it be?

"Pardon , I’m not acquainted with the master. May I ask for your na?"
Outside Lyuzhou, King of Qin observed his opponent—a barefoot Buddha dressed in a white kasaya, his face sallow and his eyes perpetually imbued with sorrowful compassion. His deanor carried an air of profound despondency.
Yet, for the first ti, King of Qin hesitated to probe this figure lightly.
Even the Princess Royale, upon encountering this man earlier, dared not to act rashly.
Both felt it—this was no ordinary figure.
Within the Buddha Kingdom, this figure was undoubtedly among the top ranks.
"A dharma na is but a title. Throughout this life, I’ve had countless nas. Yet no matter what Buddha I beco, I cannot save this world. How bitter..."
The Buddha’s voice carried infinite compassion, and King of Qin froze.
His words didn’t sound mocking, nor did they appear deceitful. Could it be... he truly once sought to save the Mortal World?
This Buddha Kingdom, inherently a devouring force, still harbored a Buddha intent on salvation?
Who exactly was this figure?
"King of Qin, as you head to Lyuzhou this ti, do you have a plan? Should the Thousand-Faced Fox gain control over you, I will not hesitate to strike you down!"
