Shimizu-san and the Sumr Night Sky
“Why do the three of us need to bathe together?!”
“Because it’s a training camp!”
“That’s not an answer!”
On the first night of the training camp, after finishing dinner, Ai, Seto, and I were resting in our room at the inn. Hondō and Yousuke were probably resting in another room by now.
Just as I had finished organizing my belongings and was about to head to the large public bath alone, Ai suggested that the three of us go together.
“After all, we three have never bathed together before. Plus, we might not get this kind of chance again. So this could be our first and last opportunity to go to the bath together! That’s why we should all go to the bath together!”
“What happened to ‘because it’s a training camp’?”
“Ah… well, you know, at training camps, everyone acts together, right? So, it’s only natural to go to the bath together too!”

“Anyway, let’s go to the bath together! It’ll definitely be more fun and morable!”

“Seto, are you okay with this? At this rate, you’ll end up bathing with this one.”
“If it becos a mory, then it’s fine. Beside, Ai-senpai gave a convenience store limited edition matcha dorayaki.”

It seems that behind my back, Seto had been bribed by Ai with dorayaki.

Feeling that resisting the determined Ai is futile, I gave in.
“…If anything happens, I’m getting out of the bath imdiately.”

About thirty minutes after leaving the room, the three of us were soaking in the spacious tub of the large public bath.

“I want to talk about love.”
“You ca all the way here to talk about love? You can do that at school with Hondō.”
Well, I pretended to be asleep and listened when the two of them were talking about love.
“Indeed, you get a lot by talking about love with Hondō-kun. But I also want to talk about love with Ai-senpai and Shimizu-san.”
Seto’s expression didn’t change, but her voice seed more serious than usual.
“Sure.”
“Ah?”
“Why are you surprised, Seto?”
“Because when I tried to talk about the person I’m interested in… Matsuoka-kun, before, you evaded the topic.”

“I do. Shimizu-san, I want to hear directly from you what you think about Hondō-kun.”
“It doesn’t necessarily have to be about Hondō!”
“No, if Kei talks about love, there’s a 100% chance that Daiki-kun will co up.”
“That’s right, Hondō-kun will definitely appear in Shimizu-san’s love talk.”
Why were these two so sure before we even started talking?
“Co on, Kei, let’s talk about love!”
“If the three of us talk about love, it’ll definitely be fun.”
Even if I refused here, they would probably say the sa thing once we got back to the room.
“…Fine, I’ll join in the love talk. But don’t bla if it’s boring.”

“Thank you, Shimizu-san.”

“Mio-chan, do you have sothing you want to talk about?”
After a few seconds of thought, Seto spoke up.
“I want to hear what the two of you were thinking during the Best Couple Contest earlier today.”
“Oh, that’s a good one!”
“Fine, but what are you going to talk about?”
“I’ll mainly be the moderator. If you two have any questions for , I’ll answer those as well.”
“Well, if you’re okay with that, then it’s fine by .”
If the person is keen on being the moderator, I have nothing in particular to say.
“Then let’s get started. First question: how did it feel for you two to beco pretend lovers with soone you’re interested in, even if it was just for a short while?”
“Starting off with a bang, aren’t you, Mio-chan?”
I too thought we would start with lighter questions.
