In fact, the reason William Foster spoke such words was not because he truly believed in these so-called rules or taboos, but because he found an excuse to avoid taking back the things he painstakingly prepared.

For him, irrespective of the ans, he only hoped to keep these carefully selected items with Clara Bennett.

Since Clara usually didn’t reside in the villa under her na, the only option was to have soone deliver them there.

She then handed a key to the trusted Zam, instructing him to lead others to complete the delivery task.

As for herself, she was led by the eager and expectant William Foster to the civil affairs bureau to register their marriage.

As the two sat in the car, deep inside Clara felt a sense of disbelief, as everything changed too quickly and unbelievably.

Around this ti in her past life, she had also gone to register the marriage.

The situation then was extrely bad; so photos of her and Samuel Grant were deliberately exposed, and coupled with all sorts of unrealistic online comnts, she felt physically and ntally exhausted, with wandering thoughts and lacking any determination while on the way to the registry office.

Back then, her decision to register the marriage was more about calming the sudden storm.

She was worried that her family might also get unnecessarily involved.

More importantly, Samuel Grant hadn’t prepared any betrothal gifts at that ti, and even the important proposal was just casually ntioned one morning without any serious thought or planning.

Whenever she recalls those past events, an indescribable discomfort arises in her heart.

But today was completely different; the sunshine was exceptionally warm and bright.

With the support and blessings of a few brothers, she was about to step into marriage with a gentleman willing to spend over a hundred billion to marry her.

Moreover, William Foster suggested having a delicious lunch together before officially heading to the civil affairs bureau, a suggestion Clara happily accepted.

After a busy morning, she indeed felt a bit hungry and didn’t resist the suggestion, joyfully agreeing to enjoy a midday al at a rooftop restaurant.

The restaurant was quite high, located on the fifteenth floor.

For Clara, who had lived in this city for many years, it was a completely unknown place.

Although she had lived here for a long ti, she was surprised to find that William Foster, who had just arrived recently, was more familiar with many hidden gems in this city.

As they slowly ascended in the elevator, William laughed lightly and said, "Actually, these places were recomnded to by others; I haven’t truly visited them myself. I heard they all have good reviews, so I thought of bringing you here to taste it."

His words instantly touched the softest part of Clara’s heart.

She quietly turned her head to look at the man beside her, thinking privately that if William Foster had a sound body, he would certainly capture countless young won’s hearts.

Such a considerate and elegant person indeed brings joy to others.

When they finally reached the reserved dining venue, they found it incredibly quiet, with no other custors.

As it turned out, all of this was a surprise arranged in advance by William, who reserved the entire restaurant just to give his beloved an unforgettable wonderful experience.

Clara didn’t object to this; others might find it too extravagant, but she understood William, knowing he had his reasons and considerations.

Sitting down, she gazed out the window, marveling at the expansive and vast beauty outside, "The view here is truly stunning!"

Hearing this, William replied with an extrely gentle tone, "As long as it makes you happy. It’s just a pity that I’m unable to appreciate such scenery."

Clara couldn’t help but glance at William with a hint of mischief, "Who says you can’t see this beautiful view?"

She playfully retorted.

William looked curious and asked doubtfully, "Hmm? Is there another way to see it?"

"Ahem..."

Clara coughed gently to cover up the teasing tone from earlier.

"Let narrate the scene for you. If you look to the left, you can see an expanse of blue sea, and the sky is particularly clear and bright, with flocks of white seagulls soaring in the air, as if they’ve owned the entire freedom of the world."

"Under the sunlight, the waves shimr with silvery white, as if draping this sea with a mysterious and beautiful cloak. On the right is our city’s tallest twin towers, towering into the sky with grandeur."

"Although we are in dayti now and can’t see them lit, one can imagine the spectacular light shows at night that would leave all spectators utterly amazed..."

William attentively listened to the depicted scene from the window, feeling neither bored nor annoyed. On the contrary, he seed more imrsed in it.

Clara’s voice was lodious and charming, possessing the charm of a mature woman along with a touch of girlish sweetness. Accompanied by such a voice, even simply looking at a still scene becos lively and interesting.

At this mont, William felt much relaxed, as if all his worries were temporarily washed away by this peaceful beauty.

The dishes were soon brought up one by one by the waiter, and then William began his little trick, sitting still at his place.

Seeing William like this, Clara sighed helplessly, "Am I really indispensable now? Is it that you can’t eat if I’m not here?"

Her tone carried a hint of teasing.

However, faced with this question, William answered seriously, "Dear wife, please don’t feel troubled by this. Actually, I just wish to show enough politeness, not wanting to leave you with a bad impression."

He tried to appear more sincere so she wouldn’t feel troubled or pressured.

In fact, even Clara, one of those involved, may not have realized.

She is inherently a more gentle person, and it’s difficult for her to resonate or comply with a hard stance.

However, she is easily moved by gentle and understanding people.

As long as William shows a bit of weakness or goodwill, she imdiately softens her heart.
