Chapter 953 - Evolving
'"Devour!"'
Hao Xuan willed it and it was done. In the sa manner as the whirlpool in the sky, another one was ford on the ground below mirroring it.
All the ambient energy from the surroundings was starting to move towards him, disappearing within his body. The whirlpool ford with a diater of four ters but as it continued to bring in more and more energy it started to get bigger bit by bit.
Hao Xuan could feel his Qi being restored little by little, at a pace that was neither hurried nor lagging behind. But when the next Mind Palace got ready to fire that pace no was longer sufficient.
"More! MORE! FASTER AND FASTER!" he scread and opened his arms wide like he was about to hug soone.
The whirlpool started expanding further outwards, swiftly reaching a radius of 20 ters upon absorbing the heat coming off of his own chaos flas. When it expanded outside his territory it flared up, as if soone had thrown gasoline on a fire.
All that energy from their previous clash was still lingering in the air and now it had finally found an outlet.
"AAARGH!"
Hao Xuan's skin felt like it was being pricked by a thousand searing needles all at once. A mix of hold and cold sensations ran throughout his body. There really was too much happening for him to absorb everything with ease but he still didn't stop.
"M.O.R.E!"
With gritted teeth, he kicked the Immortal Devouring Demon Physique in full swing, the absolute best it could do. He had always been holding himself back from using the powers of the physique too much because it made him feel strange afterward but the rewards far outweighed the risks now.
A low growl ca from his stomach while sothing moved under his skin. Small masses erged from around his stomach and moved around his back aligning themselves next to his spine.
The skin and flesh alongside tore open from every spot where the masses were present, revealing small blackened fleshy growths. They looked like burnt tissue taking the form of hardened bone-like material as it had a life of its own. They fell out of his body one by one, a total of twelve growths.
All of a sudden the pain from the rest of Hao Xuan's body disappeared. Even he was surprised by the sudden change. He looked back and saw the small bony growths jetting out of his back. His body was evolving and changing according to his needs at such terrifying speed that it could send any scientist into a comma.
This was not sothing a human could do, not like this. He couldn't feel their presence but their effects, that was a different thing.
The energy absorption rate had quickly skyrocketed.
If he was absorbing 5 units of energy per second previously, that rate had gone up to 150 units in an instant.
Each of the bony outgrowths acted like antennas, completely separate and specialized organs that were ant for one purpose and one purpose alone, to help him swallow EVERYTHING in his path.
The bone spurs vibrated with a weak murmur before abruptly getting louder. They sent out a shockwave that forced every loose object on the ground to go rolling away before out of nowhere, a force pulled them back.
The vortex reached a diater of 200 ters within seconds, becoming larger than even the cyclone.
Even the dust and debris were pulled in along with every other physical object and energy.
The stands and the viewing hall that was full of low whispers beca quiet. Dai Zhi was the first one to notice not only because he was connected to the treasure palace but also because the protective barriers surrounding the battlegrounds were losing power.
The vortex might only be 200 ters in diater but it was pulling in things from much further away. Those native warriors that were standing too close to the grounds felt weak and one by one fell to their knees.
The air started to beco hotter as the Chaos fla mixed in with the vortex without being disturbed and spread its influence even outside Hao Xuan's territory.
The cyclone itself slowed down by several degrees as the vortex caught up to it. Stasa was the one restraining the cyclone felt it the best. It felt like he was losing control of it.
He finally realized whatever Hao Xuan was trying to do could not be allowed to finish.
"GO!"
He shouted and all the remaining nice Mind Palaces fired all at once.
Seven pillars of celestial white light fell from the heavens, into a vortex of fire and lightning. It had covered everything in sight so he couldn't even see Hao Xuan anymore. All he could do was aim for the center and hope for the best.
