Chapter 55: Bandits Continued
Hao Xuan used Demonic Steps with Infernal Rapture Level 2 which had been infused with lighting energy and created thunderous booms.
He ran straight into the man with his training sword drawn and hit him in the back with full force, knocking him out cold.
"Holy shit, is it , or does it get louder every ti I use it?" mumbling, he picked up the man's body, called back Bai and ran in another direction.
About three minutes after he left, four hooded figures fell down from the sky. All of them absolutely massive with a height of more than 15 feet.
"Rookie!" scread the one at the front of the group but was t with complete silence.
"You were right Sir, that was a technique," said one of the n behind him pointing at the ground. There was a long black line burned into the ground itself from where Hao Xuan had used Demonic steps. The man furrowed his brow and walked up to it and bent down, picking up the charred earth he brought it up to his nose and slled it.
"It was one guy. Careful, this technique probably has a lot of burst power. Split up, if you can't find him within 10 minutes then just co back. I will report back to the boss," the biggest of the four said and got up. He bent down a little and with pure unadulterated power, shot up into the sky like a rocket. The ground under his feet exploded as if a cannon had hit it leaving behind a huge crater.
As soon as he was out of sight the other three looked at each and also shot out like bullets in different directions.
*Splash*
"Hey, wake the fuck up!" Hao Xuan punched the man in the face after throwing so water on him. The man woke up in a fluster but surprised Hao Xuan because instead of screaming he just looked at him.
"Hmm? You're not curious about my identity?" Hao Xuan asked with a half-smile.
"Would you tell if I asked?" the man asked in return as if looking at an idiot.
"Oh, good point. So, why were you chasing the caravan? Tell and I will tie you up and leave you here. You will be able to escape in a few hours and we can forget this ever happened. Don't complicate things," Hao Xuan said and sat down in front of him.
The man didn't say anything but then suddenly his expression changed.
"I-I can't move. I can't feel my body!" he mumbled while looking down and saw that he was completely tied up but he should still be able to at least feel sothing.
"What did you do to ?!?" he asked, flustered but still trying to sound calm.
"? Nothing," Hao Xuan simply shook his head and frowned in response. He only knocked him out and took him away and didn't do anything else.
"Oh shit, please don't tell that's what happened," he suddenly rembered sothing and looked at the man who was still panicking.
Hao Xuan stood up and went around the side and looked at the man's back where his sword had hit him, there was a bone popping out from there.
"Fuck," he accidentally blurted out loud looking at it.
"WHAT?! What the hell did u do?"
*Sigh*
"It seems, and this was not intentional, but apparently I hit you right in the spine and sothing in there broke. That's probably why you can't feel or move anything," Hao Xuan replied with a sincere and apologetic expression.
"I-I'm paralyzed?" the man mumbled blankly in return, looking at his hands and feet.
"I am honestly so sorry, I know you're a bandit and just trying to make a living. I just wanted to ask you a few things and was gonna let you go unhard," Hao Xuan explained when he saw his face.
even though they were his enemies, there was no real animosity between them. Both were working for soone else and just following orders.
"Fuck you, you could've just killed . No, you can kill now! I don't want to live like this. There is no one to take care of and I don't want to make my brothers pity . Just end it right now!" the man said with tears in his eyes. This was supposed to be a simple 'mission'. His entire life was just destroyed in a matter of seconds.
Hao Xuan sighed looking at him. Maybe he was right. Here, only the strong held any real power and soone that couldn't even move was probably better off dead.
"Alright, But you have to tell who hired you and for what."
"BITCH, are you fucking serious?" the man's face went red from anger. Did this guy really expect to get an answer from him?
"Normally, I would say that I would torture you until you're willing to talk but this ti its the opposite. I will take you back to Fortuna City and leave you there. You won't die but you won't live either."
"I will hire soone to feed you once a day and keep you alive for as long as possible. You will spend the remainder of your days on the side of a road as people pass by looking at your miserable state. Do you really want that? I don't, so help help you. Don't make do this, please," he said looking at the main with an earnest expression.
"Wha- you fucking monster. You inhuman BEAST! What the fuck is wrong with you?!" the man scread in response. This was a new kind of low.
