Hao Xuan's eyes almost popped out of their sockets in astonishnt.
"21% blood purity level?!"
Uptil now Hao Xuan had not seen a single creature with such a high blood purity level. He couldn't help but glance up at the trembling spider once again.
Its entire body was shaking like a leaf in the wind, about to be blown away any second.
'How can such a cowardly creature have such a high blood purity level?' he couldn't help but grumble inwardly.
The blood purity level could increase in two ways.
One, through aging. This was true for beasts and those with a singular awakened bloodline.
And the second was through the use of raw materials, relics, elixirs, and such things that would have to be ingested or applied to the body to have so effect. (More details in CH 270)
"Which one is true for you?" Hao Xuan mumbled looking at the spider.
It was true that it certainly was pretty unique.
It didn't breathe or have a heartbeat, even standing in front of it Hao Xuan couldn't 'feel' its presence at all that all living beings had. It emitted no energy waves from what he had seen so far and could easily be confused for an inanimate object.
'Maybe it's because of the abilities,' his gaze fell on the "Still heart" ability.
Hao Xuan closed his eyes and focused on that ability, instantly 'unlocking' so new information about it. And it seed like it was worded for Hao Xuan, i.e what would happen if he received it himself.
Still Heart: Be as calm as the wind before a storm. When stationary, you beco one with the surroundings, exuding no signs of life whatsoever.
"Hoh, that's interesting..."
This was the first ti he had delved deeper into an ability and inquired about it. All the information he got was gotten directly from his sever's DNA, mory, and soul. In so cases, it was even possible to gather so information that the servers themselves weren't conscious off.
"Since that's the case," his gaze fell on the first ability.
It was in brackets which ant there was sothing different about it. He had not seen such a thing with anyone else so far, not even the several divine beasts or the God clone had anything like it.
[Threads of Destiny]: The strings of destiny that connect everything. Th-?????????
"Well that's new..."
This was the first ti he had seen question marks appear.
'Is sothing wrong with or it?' he thought inwardly before swiftly looking towards the other abilities.
Nox Soporatus: The thousand-year-sleep. Shut off your mind and body to enter a semi death-like state. All body processes are slowed to the extre.
Death Grip: Grip of Death. Once activated you can not let go unless either you or the target is dead.
Plunderer: Steal the fortune of others to further yourself. Once used on a target, they will undergo a series of disasters and misfortunes, both small and large.
As soon as he read the description of the other abilities, it all started to make sense. Especially how the spider had such a high blood purity level while being such a cowardly creature.
It was either because of The thousand-year-sleep which allowed it to go into a sort of hibernation for long periods of ti or the Plunderer ability where it stole the fortune of others and had a few lucky encounters because of it.
But the matter regarding the Threads of Destiny was still unknown.
"Is it because it's related to the word of power perhaps?" Hao Xuan finally ca to the conclusion.
That was the only differentiating factor and the most obvious elent.
But when Hao Xuan rembered the reason he was so happy to see the high blood purity level he couldn't help but smile once again.
There were three critical thresholds in a being's bloodline.
5% threshold when they would choose a bloodline and could be said to have unlocked it.
10% threshold when Hao Xuan could extract a random ability from the sever.
25% threshold where the first 'true evolution' would take place.
And with the spider's bloodline being at 21% purity, it ant he could extract an ability for himself.
"Hahaha, finally! Finally, sothing goes my way!" Peals of unrestrained laughter followed suit.
