Chapter 390: Guo Yang Part 3
Since his early days, Hao Xuan had a lot of interest towards the cultivation novels, stories, and the myths back on earth. How exhilarating it felt reading about the stories of those cultivators that could traverse a mountain with a single leap and fly through the sky on the backs of swords.
And when he ca here, it was like all his dreams and prayers had been answered. He cultivated himself, doing exactly as the manuals said, and managed to reach the ceiling of the first power level in this world. The minimum requirent to go out and explore was the Spirit realm and even then it was as dangerous as it could be.
Until now his luck had been rather good and even though he got into a few bad situations, one way or another he got out alive. But sowhere along the way, that exciting feeling of uncertainty, of seeking out new adventures, of exploring this imnsely vast world he had after arriving here was gone.
Hao Xuan had taken note of this and considered it to be the reason why his cultivation had stagnated at the 4th Stage of the Spirit Realm for so long.
But for the first ti in a long ti, what he was seeing right now had left him stumped, left him with those sa emotions, those sa feelings he felt after coming over to the Beast World and standing on the edge of that giant leaf and peering down at the great unknown.
'To create sothing out of nothing, how is this even possible...' he thought to himself.
Because in front of him right now two Profound Realm cultivators were fighting using their Laws instead of their cultivations.
They didn't fly around too much, simply floating at a height of 5 ters above the rocky hill.
It seed like Guo Yang was a close-range fighter that preferred to use his hands. He moved too fast for Hao Xuan to properly see what was happening so it just looked like he teleported from one place to another. He kept trying to get close to Ryfon but to no avail.
Ryfon would step on the ground and simply appear out of another area tens of ters away. It looked like he could teleport but only when touching the ground.
Guo Yang opened his right hand halfway like a claw and a white ball of energy grew from nothing to over a foot in diater within seconds. It pulsed almost looked like the full moon.
He threw it like a baseball but it seed to be alive as it followed after Ryfon no matter where he went.
Hao Xuan didn't know what law Ryfon was using but every ti he moved his hand, white trunked trees would grow out of the barren, rocky soil of the hill below and grow to dozens of ters in the blink of an eye.
They would sotis attack and defend when needed but could do nothing to stop that little ball. It was like watching a movie.
The crescent moon in the middle of Guo Yang's forehead shimred every now and then as he clashed with Ryfon, sending shockwaves all around with every move.
Ryfon opened his palm and a 4-ter tall greatshield made of water appeared in front of him. The white energy ball shot towards it with gusto but got stuck inside.
Guo Yang pulled back his hand and the energy ball tried to back out but now the shield wouldn't let it go. It was clearly struggling but that was it.
Guo Yang smiled and bent his knees. The crescent moon shimred once again as he pushed and the entire hill broke apart under his feet. He turned into a white streak and dashed towards Ryfon.
The ground had already given in so there was nothing for Ryfon to stand on.
His expression quickly worsened as he moved his left hand in a strange manner and more than 20 Greatshields like the one that was trapping the energy ball appeared in front of him.
Hao Xuan heard Guo Yang's laugh and then saw the streak run into the line of 20 Greatshields. He expected there to be so struggle but the streak passed through every shield like it wasn't even there and then he saw Ryfon shoot out like a rocket and hit a hill about 300 ters away. In his place, Guo Yang was standing calmly, not even a scratch on him.
The hill Ryfon had crashed into exploded and he flew out and appeared in front of Guo Yang with ruffled hair.
Hao Xuan and the party had already moved back a hundred ters, out of the range of their attacks.
Guo Yang didn't even have a single bead of sweat on him after doing all that. He looked at Ryfon with half a smile, "Senior brother went too easy on ."
Ryfon looked a bit annoyed, "I didn't know you already had such control over your Physique. I really let my guard down," he said shaking his head.
"The results of my closed-door cultivation, no big deal," Guo Yang gave a toothy grin in return.
The fight reminded Hao Xuan of that ani with superpowered monkey soldiers from another planet, the ones that could scream for several episodes to get power-ups. What was it called...?
***
After the fight, Ryfon introduced Guo Yang and Hao Xuan and told him to help train him as well.
Guo Yang didn't seem to mind at all and he seed really friendly.
Ryfon had sothing to do so he bade his farewell to the party and left Hao Xuan there for the ti being. He said he'd be back in a few hours to take him back to his place and get his things from there.
Not to ntion Jin Wang was still probably at ho without any idea what happened to Hao Xuan.
"Let's have a little sparring session to welco Brother Hao Xuan!" Guo Yang patted Hao Xuan's shoulder with a smile as soon as Ryfon left, giving him a bad feeling.
