Chapter 91: Chapter 34: Heaven’s Chosen Ones

As if hearing Jie Wenzhan’s inner voice, Tianmiao turned to look at the two of them, sowhat disdainfully saying, "This isn’t quite right. My current identity is that of your young lady, just having guards isn’t enough; I should have a maid and a servant too."

After saying this, in a flash of white light, the phoenix-shaped hairpin in Tianmiao’s hair and the dragon-shaped bracelet on her wrist transford into a handso man and woman. The two of them exchanged a glance, then imdiately turned into plain-looking individuals dressed as a maid and servant.

Jie Wenzhan was shocked and instinctively looked at Ye Chenfeng.

He saw Ye Chenfeng looking calm, as if not at all surprised by such a thing.

Jie Wenzhan restrained his urge to ask questions, but his doubts grew larger and larger. Who exactly is this woman nad Tianmiao?

From the start, he had doubted that Tianmiao was a Sword Spirit; now, he was completely certain that Tianmiao was definitely not a Sword Spirit.

"Let’s go." Tianmiao was the first to walk forward.

Kong Hou and Dong Xiao followed behind.

Ye Chenfeng also followed silently, without expression, behind Dong Xiao.

Jie Wenzhan hesitated for a mont, then hurried to catch up, walking behind Kong Hou.

Thus, a perfect entourage for the young lady’s outing was ford.

At the gates of Four-direction City, after paying a small entry tax, Tianmiao and her group smoothly entered the city.

"Young lady, I’m a bit hungry, may we dine first?" Jie Wenzhan quickly got into his role as a guard and asked.

"We may." Tianmiao glanced at a nearby tavern, from which delicious aromas wafted out. It seed the tavern’s chef had quite a talent.

Upon entering the tavern, the waiter enthusiastically ca forward, wiping stools and chairs, and inquired what Tianmiao and the others would like to eat.

Jie Wenzhan was puzzled as to how the waiter could remain so calm after seeing Tianmiao’s exceedingly beautiful face, but when he turned his head, he was surprised to find that Tianmiao had sohow changed her appearance; she now appeared to be just a coly woman.

"Bring out the best food and wine. We’ll have as many servings as we have people." Tianmiao said with a smile.

"Sure, please take a seat." The waiter gladly agreed.

Tianmiao rested her chin on her hand, idly watching the people coming and going on the street outside the tavern.

Suddenly, in a lazy tone, she spoke, "Have you two noticed anything?"

Dong Xiao was carefully pouring tea for Tianmiao, while Kong Hou was fetching chopsticks for her. They naturally knew this question wasn’t directed at them.

Jie Wenzhan and Ye Chenfeng exchanged a glance, understanding that Tianmiao was asking them.

"Nothing for now." The two shook their heads simultaneously.

The waiter soon brought all the food and wine to the table, warmly inviting everyone to enjoy, before going off to serve other custors.

Just as Tianmiao and the others were about to start eating, they heard the sound of drums and gongs from outside, as if celebrating sothing.

Custors at the doorway who were about to enter the tavern halted and turned to run in that direction.

The few custors inside the tavern also settled their bills and hurried outside.

The waiter looked on eagerly, casting hopeful glances at Tianmiao’s table.

"Is sothing the matter?" Tianmiao asked.

"Our City Lord is doing good deeds today! It’s said that every household gets two pounds of pork and five pounds of rice. Those settling their bills are going to collect their things." The waiter said sowhat embarrassedly, "I..."

"You want to go too, but are afraid of being scolded by the shopkeeper for not serving us, right?" Tianmiao smiled, signaling Dong Xiao to hand a piece of silver to the waiter, "No need to give change or serve us, you go on ahead."

"Thank you, distinguished guest, you are truly beautiful and kind-hearted." The waiter happily took the silver to the shopkeeper at the counter, bade temporary leave, and rushed outside.

"This City Lord is certainly a benevolent person. It seems he’s also a cultivator; his family appears to be a Cultivation Family." Jie Wenzhan recalled the information given by the Sect Leader before they left.

"A benevolent person, huh..." Tianmiao chuckled, neither agreeing nor disagreeing, as she leisurely sipped a glass of wine.

However, Ye Chenfeng turned his head to look at the gathering crowd.
