Chapter 685: Chapter 22: Strongest Demon Exorcist

After the four of them had walked about a kiloter, Mo Bai Ning suddenly stopped. Tuoba Wu smirked, and the massive ice-blue bow appeared in his hand once more. Lin Duoduo clasped her hands together, raising them protectively before her chest, her gaze coldly fixed ahead.

"Oh dear, a few demon exorcists have co. Are they yet another group of ignorant fools?" a sharp voice echoed intermittently, making it impossible to discern where it originated from.

"The demons here are indeed different; they can actually speak human language," Tuoba Wu remarked, "But I wonder if they had to go through so trouble to learn our language?"

"Perhaps? They learned our language just to mock us? That’s really..." Lin Duoduo’s expression was ineffable, unsure of how to retort.

"Afraid to leave, they might need to find sothing to do out of boredom?" Tuoba Wu speculated.

"That really sounds quite boring," Lin Duoduo nodded.

After a peculiar silence, the sharp voice angrily spoke again.

"Ignorant humans, talking so much even at the brink of death!" Just as the voice faded, a flickering shadow flew over, darting around Tianmiao and the others so fast that its form was a complete blur.

"It’s a Shadow Snake, known for its speed. The ones outside can’t talk; the ones in the Lost Land are indeed extraordinary," Tuoba Wu said with so excitent, "This is the first ti I’ve seen a talking Shadow Snake."

"The Lost Land is the breeding ground for demons, so it’s natural that the ones here are stronger than those outside," Lin Duoduo said.

"Talkative!" The Shadow Snake could no longer endure the two chatterbox humans, flashing its poisonous fangs as it lunged at Tianmiao. This human appeared the most vulnerable, and the other three stood around her in a protective stance, likely brought in by this frail human to gain so experience under the protection of these three demon exorcists. By killing this seemingly weakest human, the three demon exorcists might just lose their focus.

"Lock!" Lin Duoduo shouted in a low voice, thrusting her clasped hands forward suddenly. Spiritual power exploded in an instant, triggering her superpower.

The Shadow Snake felt the air around it grow heavy instantly, and a sharp pain shot through its tail. Turning to look, it found its tail seemingly locked in a sealed space, and that segnt was severed cleanly. The severed tail lay in that narrow space, appearing as though it was suspended in mid-air.

Damn! It’s a Space Cutting Ability! Never expected to encounter such a powerful demon exorcist.

The Shadow Snake suddenly felt things were going wrong and was ready to escape with all its might.

However, in the next mont, an ice-blue massive arrow shot through its heart, pinning it firmly to the spot.

The Shadow Snake struggled, feeling its vitality rapidly draining away.

"Haven’t you heard that the villain dies due to excessive talking? Really, always blabbering. I thought the Shadow Snakes in the Lost Land would be stronger, but they’re just weaklings?" Tuoba Wu said disdainfully.

The Shadow Snake gave a bulging stare, dying with indignation. Who was doing all the talking? Wasn’t it you guys who talked more?

After the Shadow Snake died, the massive ice-blue arrow slowly faded, leaving only a black snake roughly the height of an adult.

"This is just the periphery of the Lost Land, so the demons here aren’t very strong. It seems that in the center of the Lost Land, there are demons that can even take human form," Tianmiao looked ahead and said.

"I think so too," Lin Duoduo nodded, "So we should be even more cautious. The speed of this Shadow Snake is three tis that of the ones outside."
