Chapter 645: Chapter 30: Let

Take You Ho

"I want to eat, I want to eat, Tianmiao, you also brought chocolate. But it must have lted already. It’s okay, I’ll lick it off." Cheng Luo said happily.

Que Qiu turned his head and saw the chocolate wrapper in Tianmiao’s hand, originally square and neat, it suddenly appeared flattened in the next mont.

"Oh dear, it has lted. But it’s fine, it won’t affect the taste." Tianmiao said with so regret.

Que Qiu was astonished, the chocolate hadn’t lted at all! It was just that when Cheng Luo ntioned it, Tianmiao made the chocolate lt.

Que Qiu quickly lifted his head to look at Tianmiao, full of astonishnt, only to et Tianmiao’s eyes, which seed to be smiling yet not smiling.

For so reason, Que Qiu’s back was drenched with cold sweat again. He quickly turned away, not daring to look at Tianmiao anymore.

Professor Wu was sitting on a protruding stone stool, eating sothing while discussing with his assistant what needed to be recorded, his eyes full of excitent. Finally, after more than ten years of research, all the answers were about to be unveiled.

After a short break, everyone packed their gear again and followed Que Qiu as they walked into the city.

The traces of the main street in the city were still there, but almost all the buildings had collapsed, tilting here and there, dilapidated and desolate. From a distance, it seed grand, but up close, it was just dirt walls, sand, and deadwood, nothing more.

The long desert environnt made it so many things wouldn’t be preserved, disappearing along with the wind and sand.

Only the many stone columns of varying degrees of brokenness seed to be telling the luxurious scenes of the past.

Behind these ruins, the most striking feature was a pyramid-like structure, with a huge white crystal ball mounted atop its sharp spire. This building was located in the middle and rear section of the city, about twenty ters high, made of piled stone bricks, judging by the various surrounding dinsions, it was very likely a tomb.

This conspicuous? Buried so close to the Imperial City like this? Almost at the edge of the Imperial City.

The owner of this tomb must have contributed the most or had the greatest commorative significance to be given such an honor, right?

"Could this be the legendary Che King’s Tomb?" An assistant asked excitedly.

"I think it might be!" Professor Wu eagerly took over, "Che King was a very capable and wise monarch, deeply loved by the people. Under his rule, the people lived in peace and prosperity, and the population grew larger. This chamber is very likely Che King’s Tomb."

Others gathered around, and the very excited Professor Wu, pointing to these ruins, began comparing them with the material to lecture.

Everyone listened attentively to the professor’s on-site explanation, except Que Qiu who sat to the side, seemingly uninterested.

Tianmiao, on the other hand, looked up at the pyramid-like building.

"Tianmiao, do you think that is Che King’s Tomb?" Que Qiu suddenly asked.

"Yes, that must be Che King’s Tomb." Tianmiao said with a smile.

Professor Wu, who was originally lecturing, was drawn to these words. He turned to look at Tianmiao, "Miss Tianmiao, I’d like to hear your insights." For so reason, Professor Wu always felt that Tianmiao knew far more than they did.

"Che King, according to your docunts, is recorded as a wise monarch, deeply loved by the people. In reality, when he first ascended the throne, it wasn’t like that." Tianmiao smiled, her voice serene and ethereal. "At first, Che King was a tyrant. It was just that he fell in love with soone. That person dissolved his tyrannical aura, and he willingly changed a lot for this person. You can say, Che King’s lover made him a wise monarch."
