Chapter 52: Chapter 5: Stunning Little Daughter-in-Law

Qian Xu’s face changed when she heard Ren Mother speak.

The villagers were casting more and more presumptuous glances at her, and their words were becoming increasingly inappropriate.

This place really can’t be stayed at any longer.

But, where could they go?

Two won, where can they find a foothold?

Just as Qian Xu and Ren Mother were worried, a deafening knock ca at the door. It was accompanied by a sowhat sharp voice.

"Ren Auntie, you’re at ho, right? Hurry up and open the door. A great opportunity has co knocking, quickly open the door." The person outside was pounding on the door panel loudly.

Qian Xu ca to her senses and hurriedly pulled little Tianmiao back into the room.

Ren Mother frowned and went to open the door, outside was a woman from the village, surnad Liu.

"Hey, Ren Auntie, has Qian Xu returned ho?" Mrs. Liu craned her neck to peek inside.

"If you have sothing to say, say it here." Ren Mother suppressed the impatience in her heart and said coldly.

"Ah, it’s a great opportunity. Tie Zhu from the village chief’s family has taken a fancy to your Qian Xu. Hey, I’m not one to talk, but it’s been three years since your Liang Xu went off to serve the military, and there’s been no news, probably not a good sign. People, after all, must plan for themselves. You see, you’ve raised Qian Xu as your daughter all this ti, now that Liang Xu is gone, Qian Xu can remarry, not to ntion you can collect a hefty bride price, and if Qian Xu lives well, she can support you too..." Mrs. Liu was speaking with an excited face, spitting as she talked, completely oblivious to how Ren Mother was shaking with anger, her face pale.

"Get out!!" Ren Mother forcefully pushed Mrs. Liu outside and slamd the door shut.

"Hey, what’s wrong with you? I’m doing this for your good. Two won living alone, I see how hard it is for you, so I’m sharing this opportunity." Outside, Mrs. Liu shouted, "Why don’t you recognize kind intentions?"

"Get out! How much did your black-hearted self take from others to do such a heartless thing? My Liang Xu will definitely co back." Ren Mother was panting with anger, cursing, "You’re cursing others, doing such treacherous things, aren’t you afraid of karma?"

It’s simply outrageous!

How could anyone speak such shaless words?

"Hey, how can you talk like that?" Mrs. Liu outside was displeased, banging on the door, "I am speaking the truth, what karma am I going to have? You’re the one spouting nonsense, not recognizing kind intentions."

"Get out! If you don’t leave, I’ll throw muck at you!" Ren Mother’s face was growing darker, her teeth grinding audibly.

"Fine, I’ll leave. Just think about my words. The village chief’s family has the best conditions, once this chance is gone, it won’t co around again." Mrs. Liu persisted with a final statent before leaving.

Ren Mother closed her eyes and bit her lip tightly.

We must move, we definitely must move, leave this place.

Inside the house, Qian Xu was already in tears.

Why are there such shaless and vile people who can speak such malicious things with a straight face?

Tianmiao quietly watched Qian Xu, who was covering her face and crying, then turned to look outside, with a growing cold gleam in her eyes.

At night, after little Tianmiao went to sleep, Ren Mother called Qian Xu over with a serious expression.

"Qian Xu, this village really can’t be stayed in. It’s simply outrageous. We should move quickly and quietly, without announcing it. Tomorrow, you should start packing our things." Ren Mother decided.

"Alright, Mother, I’ll pack everything tomorrow. We’ll go find Liang Xu, ask along the way. I believe Liang Xu is alive." Qian Xu’s gaze beca determined as she made a decision, "Let’s leave as soon as possible, I fear the longer we wait, the worse it will be."
