Chapter 494: Chapter 10: Chief Disciple of the Heavenly Dao Sect

"You dare hit ? You actually dare to hit ? Heavenly Dao, have you eaten a leopard’s courage, you actually dare to hit ! Was I wrong? My son is successful now, and you don’t fully support him, yet you give no face." Tao Yingying covered her face, quickly got up, spat out the blood in her mouth, and rushed at Heavenly Dao like a madwoman.

"Hurry and drag her away." The City Lord felt a sense of foreboding rising in his heart.

"What’s wrong with hitting you? You’re the vile one. Do you dare insult Xinlan and Yunyi again?" At this mont, Heavenly Dao exuded hostility, his face grim as he spoke.

"Vile, they are vile, vile spawn! What if I curse them? Such waste, what face do they have to stay in the City Lord Mansion and waste resources? These should all be my son’s." Tao Yingying cursed madly.

"Silence!" The City Lord shouted, then scread again, "Stop!"

Heavenly Dao had already struck out with all his might; the City Lord also flew toward Heavenly Dao with a palm strike, hoping to stop him in this way.

However, Heavenly Dao was completely unmoved, did not turn to face the City Lord’s strike at all, and instead struck Tao Yingying fiercely. Tao Yingying was sent flying, blood gushing from her mouth, spraying into the air. The next mont, Heavenly Dao also took the City Lord’s strike solidly, becoming unsteady and spitting out fresh blood.

Luo Yunfei was staring at the scene in a daze. He didn’t understand why his mother was so obsessive, or why his father was treating her almost like an enemy. Without any rcy, why did they marry, why did they have him?

Xu Zihai was also shocked by this turn of events. How did a well-planned banquet turn into this?

"Father, why? Why do you treat mother this way? Even if you no longer like her, you shouldn’t be so heavy-handed." Luo Yunfei rushed over, took out an elixir, stuffed it into Tao Yingying’s mouth, and accused Heavenly Dao sorrowfully. Looking at his mother covered in blood, his heart was truly wracked with pain.

Heavenly Dao coldly looked at the sorrowful Luo Yunfei, unmoved, coughed up a mouthful of blood, and continued walking toward the main gates.

"Father! How could you treat

like this? Haven’t I done well enough?" Luo Yunfei couldn’t hold back anymore, shouting with a cry.

Heavenly Dao’s steps stopped, he turned to look at Luo Yunfei.

The City Lord shouted angrily, "Anling!"

Heavenly Dao, however, laughed, looking at Luo Yunfei, then glancing at Tao Yingying, and slowly began to speak, a tone of indescribable mockery in his voice: "Are you sure you really want to know?"

"Anling, shut up!" The City Lord yelled anxiously.

"What, want to kill ? Silence ?" Heavenly Dao laughed mockingly.

The words the City Lord wanted to speak just couldn’t co out. His lips trembled, his face gradually turning ashen.

"Father, what, what do you an?" Luo Yunfei felt a fear he had never felt before rising in his heart.

"I truly don’t know how Tao Yingying can say it, that the resources of the City Lord Mansion are all her son’s. Back then she had a child out of wedlock; her parents and my grandmother all ca begging

to marry her, to preserve face, to preserve everyone’s face. I softened for a mont and agreed. And what did I get? A broken family. Tao Yingying, have you forgotten? You and I are not husband and wife; back then you kneeled and begged

to marry you, and your son has nothing to do with . Where do you get the face to say the Luo Family’s things are your son’s? Did you forget the way grandmother kneeled for you?" Heavenly Dao’s voice was full of mockery and hostility, each word like a sharp blade stabbing into Luo Yunfei’s heart.
