Chapter 464: Chapter 27: Sunflower Facing the Apocalypse

"Is this, Wind Attribute?" Xu Yuxi looked at a zombie’s head cut cleanly, yet there were no other marks around it.

"It should be. This Wind Blade is used very skillfully. They’ve taken all the food too. Oh, wait, there’s half a box of stuff hidden here, a few bags of biscuits, and a few bottles of water, along with a note." Zhang Qiang stepped over the convenience store’s counter, saw a cardboard box placed behind it, picked up the note and read aloud the words on it, "Brothers and sisters, keep going. We’ve cleared this place, but you still need to be cautious. We’ve left so biscuits and water for you; hope it helps. We’ll be waiting for you at the safe base!"

For so reason, upon hearing these words, Xu Yuxi and Zhou Shiqiu felt their noses tingle suddenly, almost shedding tears.

Zhang Qiang looked at the note with so emotion, "There’s still good people in this world."

"I always believe there are more good people." Xu Yuxi took the note from Zhang Qiang’s hand, put it away, holding back the urge to cry, "Let’s check this place once more, deal with any zombies if there are any. We’ll take these things, and leave so other things for those who co after us."

Zhang Qiang watched Xu Yuxi’s actions, hesitated slightly, then laughed, "Let’s follow Xu Jie. Xu Jie, you’re really great."

Xu Yuxi and the others checked the rest stop thoroughly, confird there were no more zombies, and then decided to stay overnight, continuing their journey the next day.

"If nothing unexpected happens, we’ll reach the nearest safe base by tomorrow afternoon." Zhang Qiang held his alarm clock, turned on the radio, starting to listen to the information. The broadcast was still looping those three ssages. At the end, it still thanked the user Feather for sharing. Hugging his alarm clock, Zhang Qiang said with a look of infatuation, "Feather Goddess, you’re my wife!"

"Shouldn’t you marry her?" Zhou Shiqiu teased.

"Hey, the goddess is so strong, I obviously want to marry into her family." Zhang Qiang said cheerfully.

Xu Yuxi: ...

Her feelings were a bit complicated, not knowing what to say.

Zhou Shiqiu mischievously raised her eyebrows at Xu Yuxi, who turned over and said irritably, "Sleep!"

Zhou Shiqiu just wouldn’t sleep, she turned to Zhang Qiang, asking, "Aren’t you a hacker? Shouldn’t you be able to find Feather’s identity?"

"I can, but it’s very disrespectful to her. I won’t do such a thing." Zhang Qiang defended himself confidently, "I can’t leave a bad impression on my goddess. Let’s see about fate. I feel like if we’re ant to et, we will. And I firmly believe there’s a destined connection between us."

"Pfft." Zhou Shiqiu chuckled, turned away from Zhang Qiang, muttering, "Go to sleep."

"Mn, night-night, Zhou Jie, Xu Jie." Zhang Qiang hugged his alarm clock, contently falling asleep.

The subsequent journey went smoothly; the few wandering zombies posed no threat to them whatsoever. At last, they reached the location where the military was stationed. Inside the encampnt, it was lively and bustling, and they finally felt the presence of people.

Many people rushed over, weary and exhausted, so injured. The injured were imdiately treated and isolated for observation, ensuring they weren’t infected.

After talking with the military personnel, and stating they were superpower users capable of independently reaching the safe base, the military was very pleased and gave them a warm welco. They even discussed whether it was possible for them to look after another two vehicles following them back, as their own manpower was extrely limited. They not only needed to receive refugees but also ensure safety nearby, patrolling twenty-four hours non-stop to guarantee no zombies approached the encampnt threatening its safety.
