Chapter 166: Chapter 39: The Prestigious Family

Qin Zifeng continued up with Tang Wanwan and Luo Siqing, but not long after, the sound of dense footsteps arose from behind. Those monsters were pursuing them.

At this ti, Qin Zifeng and the others were on the sixth floor. The staircase passage was locked, precisely at the corner separating general housing from the VIP quarters. A solid security door blocked the three of them firmly, despite Qin Zifeng’s best efforts to open it.

anwhile, the monsters downstairs gradually surged up.

Monsters spread around, while Tang Wanwan and the other two huddled in front of the security door, exhausting their efforts to open it, but to no avail. Luo Siqing had already closed her eyes in despair.

Suddenly, a strong wind blasted before them, reminiscent of a dragon’s roar. A silver storm surged down the stairs, directly overturning the monsters in front of them. But the storm did not stop, instead, like waves of the ocean, it drove the monsters rushing up down the passage.

Following that, the entire stairwell returned to peace, with the security door Qin Zifeng was leaning against making a "crack" sound. Upon turning back to look, the door was shattered into pieces. As he nudged it sideways, the door collapsed.

At this point, Dong Xiao paused, recognizing the sound of Kong Hou. That dragon’s roar unmistakably ca from Kong Hou. Did Kong Hou co forward to save Tang Wanwan and them?

Kong Hou, who was in Tianmiao’s arms, had disappeared, leaving only Tianmiao sitting alone in the room. She gazed at the phone screen in her hand, wearing a smile void of warmth.

The sky was still shrouded by thick demonic clouds, pouring down a black drizzle, appearing so eerie and ominously terrifying.

Qin Zifeng held Luo Siqing’s hand, calling out to Tang Wanwan to continue running upwards.

Tang Wanwan responded, and after a climb up a floor, Qin Zifeng turned back again, only to find Tang Wanwan had vanished.

Qin Zifeng’s heart trembled, he shouted Tang Wanwan’s na, but received no reply, as cold sweat instantly covered him.

"Where’s Tang Wanwan?" Luo Siqing’s voice trembled, his tone unable to hide his fear, "Will she be alright?"

"I don’t know." Qin Zifeng regretted and felt guilty in his heart. How could he not notice Tang Wanwan’s situation? If he had held onto Tang Wanwan’s hand, wouldn’t this have happened? Suddenly, he felt his hand tighten and turned to see Luo Siqing’s pale face. An inexplicable irritation rose within Qin Zifeng’s heart. He wished to protect his loved one, but he also wanted to protect his childhood friend. But in the end, he didn’t hold onto Tang Wanwan’s hand; he hadn’t even noticed how Tang Wanwan disappeared.

A sense of helplessness and regret surged into his heart at that mont.

"Zifeng?" Luo Siqing noticed Qin Zifeng’s odd deanor, held his hand tightly, softly calling out.

"I’m fine, let’s go find Tang Wanwan." Qin Zifeng gripped Luo Siqing’s hand tightly, his tone resolute.

Once again plunged into darkness, Tang Wanwan struggled to stand back up from the floor, with a bit of pain in her head as if she had been struck with a club.

As if knowing she was awake, a dim light shone, and she was standing in front of the previous glass display case, wearing a luxurious dress, as if the escape with Qin Zifeng and Luo Siqing was all a dream?

But when she tried to turn around and leave the display case, she was blocked by an invisible barrier.

What was going on?

She tried several tis but couldn’t escape from this narrow space. Turning around, she almost fainted, shocked to find an old man staring at her through the glass, hands behind his back.

This elderly man squinted, unable to conceal a cunning gleam, bald with just a few strands of hair left on his head, appearing to be seventy or eighty years old.

After calming down for a while, Tang Wanwan cautiously asked, "You... who are you?"
