[Context!! Readers, this scene takes place about 10 years after the main story! And we’ll follow Calypso’s perspective!! And here we’ll have a character that many of you might not remember!!

Her name is Lisandra, and she appeared back in Chapter 85!!! She barely showed up in the story!! She’s one of Delphina’s servants and was the maid who, so to speak, weled Pandora!!

This is what she looks like = Lisandra has long, deep dark blue hair and black eyes. She has gills on her throat that stay partially closed. Her skin is faintly tanned, as if she’s spent some time in the sun.

She has sharp teeth, large breasts, a distinctive and somewhat odd accent, webbed feet, and some scales scattered across her body! Her scales are a mix of sea green and cyan.

In short, she’s one of the mermaids who serves Delphina!! If you want to go back to Chapter 85, you’ll see her!! Yes, who would’ve thought she wasn’t just some background NPC! Too bad that in Chapter 85 she seemed almost like a background NPC, since her appearance wasn’t even properly described!! Now let’s move on with the Chapter!!]

"Lisandra, weren’t you forbidden from entering Delphina’s palace? How did you manage it?" I ask, a little unfortable about being in the sea, since I’m an elemental demon and my body has a deep connection to fire.

’I hope Lisandra doesn’t get into trouble. Delphina is such a tyrant. I don’t want Lisandra to put herself in danger or die because of my requests...’

"Delphina-sama has bee more lenient. Ever since she married Pandora, she’s grown more passionate and permissive, and now that she lives with Pandora away from the sea, she ended up allowing all the servants to leave the palace."

"Normally, a servant who entered Delphina-sama’s palace could never leave it unless she died. But now she’s let everyone go, and she’s also allowed new servants to e in."

"Due to a shortage of staff, since many of the servants decided to spend some time with their families, I was called in to help... but I felt so... unsettled by the changes that I decided to call you, not just to deliver what you asked for, but to ask for some help... did I do something wrong?" Lisandra asks in a servant-like tone, but her question sounds endearing.

"Hahaha, of course not! I’m very grateful that you agreed to help me! And the least I can do is help you too!" Lisandra and I are great friends. Ever since Pandora started her relationship with Delphina, all the messages we sent to the mermaids and all the ones we received went through Lisandra.

And many times, I was the one who handled the letters, just like in the past when I invited Lilith to the castle through letters. Since I kept in frequent contact with Lisandra, we started talking.

And we ended up being friends. We have a lot in mon. We both like letters, we both like seashells, we both like hot things, though for different reasons.

And Lisandra also found Lilith fascinating when she saw her in the past! Those factors alone led to a great friendship between us, one that only grew with time.

"So, if there’s nothing wrong with it, I’d like you to help me. Just please don’t break anything. Delphina-sama still kills those who break her things... besides... I managed to get this." Lisandra hands me some black scales with a metallic purple sheen.

"Y-You got them!! I can’t believe it!! It’s them!! It really is them." I sniff the scales deeply, catching Lilith’s scent on each one. After Lilith’s fight with Pandora, they fell into the sea, and some pieces of Lilith remained in the water — scales, to be precise.

Since Pandora devoured Lilith’s body, there wasn’t much left of her. I had been deeply saddened not only to have lost my friend but also to have lost the chance to have a keepsake of her.

Because Lilith was a saint, she didn’t have many personal or material possessions, and she wasn’t one to hold onto things that interested her. The only personal thing she left behind was a hydra egg that Pandora gave to Lycoris, and currently, Lycoris doesn’t even take proper care of it.

So, obviously, I couldn’t keep the egg. It already has an owner, and I’m not crazy enough to try asking Pandora for that hydra.

But fortunately, pieces of her remained in the ocean and in Delphina’s palace! Pieces that weren’t destroyed because Lilith was very resilient. And with that, and Lisandra’s help, I now have her scales as a memento.

’I can’t believe Lisandra actually managed to find such tiny scales in such a vast sea!! What an incredible woman!! No wonder she’s still alive, even after serving Delphina for years.’

"Thank you so much, Lisandra!! You have no idea how happy it makes me to have a piece of her to keep, even if it’s just scales... you are simply unbelievably incredible!! I don’t think I could ever find something so small in such an immense environment!" She was my old friend, literally my best friend.

Losing her left me deeply sad, and now I will keep her scales, probably in a small artifact. And I’ll burn some of the scales and use the ashes, burying them in the ground beside a tree so a special tree will grow.

"I hope I found exactly what you wanted. It was somewhat difficult because the location of the fight pletely changed the map of the place, while the scales she shed in Delphina-sama’s palace were given to Delphina-sama’s divine beast to devour," she adds with a sweet smile.

’What a badass woman!!’ I would undoubtedly marry a woman like this if she proposed to me.

"That’s exactly it. Even a single scale would have been enough! In my culture, it’s mon to have pieces, items, artifacts, or belongings of a loved one to keep, or to burn and bury."

"Since Lilith was my best friend, I was deeply sad not to have anything to honor the tradition. Thanks to you, that’s now possible." I store the scales in a storage artifact to use later.

"Now... you need my help, right? I’ll do it! Just tell me what I have to do." When I say that, she takes my hand and leads me with her.

"First, put on a servant’s uniform. It’s still in the rules — only servants should enter Delphina-sama’s palace. Even if you’re not an official servant, I think it’s fine if I treat you as a temporary one." She gives a mischievous smile, taking advantage of small loopholes to allow me to enter here without Delphina punishing me.

’What a woman! So brave.’
