Chapter 32: My Army (3)
“I need… to tell the Count… I have to tell the Count… I have… to tell the Count…”
Lincoln staggered towards the Lord’s mansion.
His face looked as if it had aged decades, and his eyes seed defocused as they kept turning in different directions.
“I have to tell the count…”
He had just one purpose.
Obeying Jamie’s orders.
For him, there was no more respect and faith for God.
He was now nothing but a doll.
A doll that does nothing but repeat the sa words over and over again.
Soone suddenly appeared in front of the doll.
“Useless bastard.”
A woman with silky silver hair reaching down to her neck. She was a mber of the Zenith Church’s ‘Seven Knights’ who appeared in front of Lincoln the other day and gave him a warning.
The woman looked at Lincoln.
Lincoln passed in front of her, repeating the sa words again.
His rationality was now lost.
He was no longer sane.
“I had no intention of using this in the first place.”
After all, he was now a traitor who was planning on exposing the secrets of the church to the Count.
There is no reason to keep him alive, and if she did let him, then the church secrets will flow into the ears of the Count.
Which would make things very difficult.
“So, die and pray to our God. Do you know whether our rciful God will forgive you?”
She drew her sword.
“I don’t think I will.”
Her smiling face was so beautiful.
At the sa ti, she swiftly moved it behind Lincoln’s neck.
Lincoln continued to walk, and then he collapsed.
She looked at him and then contacted soone.
“Abandon Haiss. Leave behind everything about the church, they ended up crossing the line with their greed. Abandon everything.”
The dark magician stood alone on a high cliff wearing a torn black robe.
His face was haggard, but there was strong determination in his bright purple eyes.
He looked ahead.
There were so many soldiers’ standing. They were so nurous that it was difficult to count.
All of them were dark magicians.
An army created solely to destroy the sky.
Everything was made up of the dead, and they were more distant from heaven than anything else in the world.
An army of those who stood against Heaven.
[Level 1: Against Heaven]
[Necromancy]
Jamie recalled an old mory.
A distant past, even he wasn’t sure when it was.
There, he was the only absolute head standing in front of nurous undead.
He was the king of the dead and the god who reigned over death.
The first power he had.
‘Why did I forget?’
It was a good thing.
At this crucial mont, he rembered one of the ‘Five powers’ he had long forgotten about.
“The first power I created.”
Black magic to oppose the army of God.
Kukuuuu!
The forest shook.
He looked at Ricky who was dying.
When he reached out his hand with a blacklight, Ricky’s expression softened a little.
“This is only a temporary asure. So be a little more patient.”
He couldn’t understand why he was telling Ricky to stay patient.
He just wished Ricky wouldn’t die.
That was all he wanted.
He took a step ahead. Four gazes directed at him. They were all flustered.
It was funny.
‘Those things were running rampant to kill till now.’
Now they were so scared they couldn’t even move.
“You, who are you?”
The doctor was shaking his head in utter shock.
Obviously he was the sa dark magician. It was undeniable that the young dark magician who attacked his treasures was the one standing in front of him.
It looked like him, but why did it feel like a completely different creature was standing ahead of him?
The doctor’s face contorted.
It felt dangerous. If he wasn’t taken down right away, then the doctor would be killed.
“Kill him!”
A cry of courage.
The chiras, knowing that it was the right answer, threw themselves at Jamie.
“This is my army.”
Whoops!
Blood gushed out.
In the anti, Jamie passed by.
The chiras writhe in pain.
Things were rushing towards them. Although it didn’t have a proper shape, the number was huge.
The doctor shouted.
“You! This is necromancy!”
Skulls. Rotten corpses.
All were dead things. Those that should normally never move, were ravaging the chiras.
“That is only one part.”
Jamie answered.
The only thing swaying in the dark were the two purple eyes.
“And these are all the things you killed.”
Hundreds of corpses were in the forest.
All of them were humans killed by the doctor to make chira.
“Their anger is directed towards you. It is called grudge, and a soul with a strong grudge is stronger than you can imagine.”
The doctor took a step back.
Sothing felt terribly wrong. His best chiras were being killed by dead soldiers. How could it happen?
‘How can the mighty chiras I made fall behind low level undea…’
The term ‘Necromancer’ refers to a dark magician who wields a corpse. The first corpses they used were the skeletons of decaying ones, they were called skeletons.
And the ones summoned now were them.
Skeletons and zombies. The lowest rank undead.
It didn’t make sense that they could bring down chira.
‘What did he do?’
“You look very upset.”
Suddenly, the distance between the doctor and Jamie was less than five ters.
And for a magician, that was non-existent.
“You don’t understand how your chiras are being overtaken, right?”
“What did you do! Why are my, my chiras being taken down by those scum!”
“Evil spirit.”
The doctor trembled at the word evil spirit.
“Shadows”
The doctor scanned the forest.
Moist and deep space where even a single light wouldn’t enter during the day.
“And .”
An unbelievable aura was blooming from Jamie’s small body.
“The three things intertwined. Skeletons and zombies are garbage, as you said, but there are three special conditions that overlapped and I got the power to overwhelm the chiras.”
The cradle of necromancy was here.
But the doctor didn’t know that, the only thing he knew was that the place could be used to hide the dead bodies.
Gulping, the doctor looked back.
In addition to the undead dealing with the chira, a dense light surrounded the entire forest.
There was no place to escape. This place was turning into his grave.
‘No. it can’t be.’
He looked at the boy in front of him.
He was exuding a completely different atmosphere from before.
However, the doctor’s magic was still stronger.
And his chiras could still be used.
“If I can kill you!”
No matter how strong the undead were, if the master is killed, they will disappear.
Now, when the gap has narrowed, it was the best opportunity.
The doctor unfolded several spells at the sa ti and pulled out his tentacles.
One mont was all he needed.
In just one mont!
Puck!
“What should we do if you keep using only your eyes to look at ?”
The doctor felt his body turn cold.
He turned his head and looked to the left.
Three skeletons approached him before he knew it, and then he felt bones pierce his body.
‘I can’t feel the…’
Fear prevented him from seeing so many things.
Just like now.
“Tch. Got killed.”
Jamie looked at the doctor.
It seed like the body was at its limit.
He felt such extre pain because of the rotting spell, but now it seed like he had gone still.
“Hm?”
That was when Jamie caught sothing.
Sothing lodged in the doctor’s chest.
Just in case, he put mana on his hand and slowly pulled it out.
And as it touched Jamie’s hand, Jamie’s eyes widened.
“This…”
His lips went up.
No matter how much he turned into a chira, the vitality was absurd.
Having this in him, no wonder the doctor didn’t die.
“Could this be the life source?”
A beautifully shining green bead.
The ‘life force’ it contained wasn’t great, but Jamie could feel sothing.
“This is it.”
The doctor died and he couldn’t find out what he wanted to know about body transformation.
“If we have this, the limits can be pushed.”
He thought that he was going to lose a lot here, but he managed to make a profit.
Jamie put the bead into the pocket and ordered.
He looked at the undead that killed the chira and were waiting for his next order.
“I will call you back. So go back now.”
All the undead bowed their heads at once and disappeared into darkness.
“Cough!”
The aftermath.
Jamie sat on the floor and vomited a handful of blood.
The power of calling the Necromancy was too much for his small body to bear.
If he could use the bead, he could restore the body but unfortunately he couldn’t use it right away.
“Damn it…”
He couldn’t lose consciousness yet.
He struggled to get up and approached Ricky.
He was forced to treat him temporarily, but it was all just ti-gaining. Soon, the painful part will begin, and Ricky will eventually die.
Jamie knelt before him and put black mana onto his hands.
“This is the only way.”
Just like when he transford Azad and Raiza, there was no choice but to turn him into an Undead.
‘Okay. Just be my servant.’
Can he succeed?
His level had risen since then, but he was exhausted now. And he couldn’t even get Black’s assistance.
He was alone.
If he fails, Ricky won’t beco a real undead. And letting Ricky die seed better than making him into a bad undead.
‘I don’t know why I am devoting myself to this one.’
His head was still a ss.
But he had no intention of stopping.
Once he made a decision, there was no going back.
The ancient language of the dead began to flow.
{Leave life and rise. An immortal body awaits and you shall transcend death.}
Black mana swirled.
Black mana that replaced life.
Blood ran down Jamie’s lips.
But he didn’t stop.
{Sinners, co to !}
Darkness crept into Ricky’s body.
And then a dazzling brilliance shone from Ricky.
‘This power again!’
Light and darkness intertwined.
Jamie was feeling dizzy.
‘What the hell is happening!’
Light and darkness cannot coexist.
In particular, Jamie’s darkness was different from the black mana that other dark magicians used.
It wasn’t polar opposite.
But it was the darkness that stood in opposition to holy power!
‘I don’t know what is going on.’
It was then that Jamie heard a voice in his head.
The beautiful voice of a woman.
[Who are you to take my things?]
Jamie’s eyes turned cold.
It was a voice he didn’t know.
But he could guess who it was.
“Pyro.”
[You know ?]
The voice of a goddess.
Lars was lying on the floor breathing heavily.
The duration of the Holy Executioner had expired.
Thanks to that, the Shadow Knights could show their gratitude.
“Are you fine?”
The shadow knights who defeated the chiras looked at him with worried glances.
Lars replied with a faint smile.
It was a pain that wasn’t much different from the pain of death, but this was a pain familiar to Lars.
Because that was the fate of the one who used it.
And now he didn’t have the strength to lift a single finger. And if soone would hit him, he would faint.
“I’m out of strength, so I’ll keep it short.”
“Order us.”
“Ricky… find him.”
With that, Lars closed his eyes.
He had to get to sleep.
… that was the mont when he made the decision.
“Tis… euk!”
Lars jumped up.
At the sa ti, terrible pangs occurred in his body. A pain that was hindering him from breathing.
But that wasn’t important.
A strong holy power reaction appeared quite a distance from where he was. And this kind of reaction was sothing that Lars, a high priest in Pyro couldn’t have not known.
“G-Goddess Pyro?”
A part of the goddess has descended here.
