No matter what kind of humiliation he suffered, he had to first ensure he survived; other matters could be dealt with later.
Bearing humiliations to bide his ti, just so one day he could rise high and fast!
Thinking of this, Evon suddenly felt detached from worldly affairs; he no longer cared whether he would fall into the enemy’s ambush.
After all, it wasn’t him who would die—it was just his subordinates, and as long as he could keep those two little stars happy, he wouldn’t die, and everything could start anew.
Bing: Take out all your heavy weapons, Electromagnetic Guns, laser cannons, whatever you have—take them all out now! I’m telling you if you don’t bring them out, you’ll never get the chance to use them!
Ding: Ah, right right right!
"What?" Evon saw these two barrages and was startled, his eyes filled with unsettled speculation.
That’s not right, how did these two Tablet Spirits know he had illegal weapons, like Electromagnetic Guns and laser cannons?
Hoarding these weapons of mass destruction was a serious cri!
So of these things he secretively kept from his now gone chanical Disciple, while others were simply the group’s trump cards.
He had never told anyone else!
Bing: If I say use them, you use them.
"Yes, yes, yes." Evon kept nodding his head; he no longer knew how to refuse these two Tablet Spirits, but he was still curious about their purpose, so he asked, "May I ask what exactly you two want to do? If I know what you want, I can better carry out your requirents."
Ding: No specific demands, we simply mistook you for soone else.
Bing: Since that’s the case, we’ll tell you, we actually belong to the Ti-Space Administration and we’re here to eradicate ti-space anomalies.
Evon: "???"
He had seen plenty of science fiction films and series, so he was not unfamiliar with the concept of the Ti-Space Administration, but...
Is this real?!
He instinctively didn’t believe it, but when he looked at the two Tablet Spirits before him, it suddenly seed to make perfect sense.
Bing: Yeah, but we discovered a mistake in the list above; the person we need to stop is soone nad Allen Tata.
"Allen Tata?" Evon repeated the na, feeling it was strange, clearly not the na of an ordinary person.
Bing: But we wrongly stopped you instead, which is a violation of ti-space managent laws, so we must allow you to go ahead with your planned attack on the Taigong Dynasty.
Ding: Do you understand?
Evon was half-understanding, he didn’t nod and didn’t shake his head either.
Ding: Or maybe we can do it another way, we could just kill you and replace you with a synthetic human who will follow your script.
Bing: Right, as long as it doesn’t cause a major impact on the tiline, what is one life worth?
"Don’t, don’t, don’t, I’ll do as you say." Evon quickly stopped the two Tablet Spirits; under these circumstances, he couldn’t help but believe.
If you don’t believe, you die, what can you do?
Then, little Ding suddenly smiled: You don’t seem to trust us.
Evon quickly shook his head: "No, I trust you."
Ding: At 10:40 PM, you feel tired and decide to use the automatic coffee machine to make a cup of coffee.
Ding: At 10:42 PM, you receive a ssage from your subordinate "Li Ke" telling you that everything is ready and the vanguard troops have moved to a pre-designated ambush point.
Ding: At 10:43 PM, you take the cup with one hand to catch the coffee, while replying to the subordinate’s ssage with the other hand, causing the coffee to spill and scald your hand.
"What is this?" Evon read these words on little Ding’s screen, his face a picture of confusion.
A mysterious smile appeared on little Ding’s face: This is your script.
"Script..." Evon echoed little Ding’s words, suddenly feeling weary in his head.
According to his usual habits, he should definitely go make a cup of coffee now.
But...
He looked at the ti on his watch.
10:40 PM.
It was exactly as the Tablet Spirit’s screen had declared!
Evon imdiately looked at little Ding with a shocked expression, and Ding just shrugged.
Ding: Go make the coffee, there’s no need to deliberately oppose your script.
He nodded and took steps toward the coffee machine, pressing a few buttons quickly, then stood beside it with a cup, waiting.
His eyes occasionally glanced at the ti on his watch, appearing to wait for 10:42 PM to co, or maybe for that subordinate nad "Li Ke" to send him a ssage.
The watch faintly lit up, showing an envelope icon with the number "1" on it.
Evon clicked on the envelope icon, which contained a ssage from a subordinate.
Sender: Li Ke
Content: My team is in position and ready to lead the assault.
A succinct ssage, but it seed to possess so magic power, making Evon read it over and over.
It was the sa...
Just like what little Ding said.
Even the timing was to the very minute!
Then he noticed that the coffee machine’s light turned green.
The coffee was ready.
Evon, following his life habits, caught the coffee with one hand and quickly composed a text ssage reply to his subordinate.
While he was replying to the ssage, his focus was always on the coffee machine, fearing that it would fill up at any mont and then scald him.
Knowing the script and still getting burned would be too unreasonable.
Ding: Convinced now?
"I’ve always believed you both," Evon said, nodding his head.
It was not up to him not to believe, considering the many things that had just happened which defied normal explanation.
