"So, next up, let’s hand the stage over to Su Xiaoou," Jiang Shu stood up, switching places with Su Xiaoou.
Now Su Xiaoou was sitting in the middle seat at the center stage table, with Li Yuntang on her right and Jiang Shu on her left.
"Does this an I’m going to be used as a prop for the performance again?" Seeing the setup, Li Yuntang also understood what was going to happen next, so she spoke with a sowhat plaintive tone.
"Haha, should I randomly pick a lucky audience mber?" Jiang Shu spoke across Su Xiaoou and Li Yuntang, making a motion as if to pick up those ping-pong ball containers used for drawing audience mbers from beneath the long table.
"No need for that, I’m quite happy to be Su Xiaoou’s prop," Li Yuntang said, grinning at Su Xiaoou, "So, Xiaoou student, are you ready to amaze ?"
"Of course, Miss Li," Su Xiaoou responded with a smile, quickly entering her performance mode, "Do you believe that destiny exists in this world?"
"Destiny? Destiny, huh, perhaps it does," Li Yuntang was taken aback, then laughed again, "The three of us sitting at the sa table right now, this could be the arrangent of destiny itself."
"What if I told you that destiny can be predicted, would you believe that?" Su Xiaoou snapped her fingers, and an image of a clock appeared on the backdrop.
The clock displayed 8:05.
"If it were Jiang Shu saying this, I would believe it," Li Yuntang purposely said, "Tell , what do you want to predict?"
"The mind, that is sothing even you haven’t noticed inside yourself," Su Xiaoou continued, "And, I will guide you a bit, promise you’ll consider my suggestions, okay?"
"Sure," Li Yuntang watched Su Xiaoou’s intently serious deanor, just like the god-like Jiang Shu during a performance, and couldn’t help but find it sowhat amusing.
"Firstly, Miss Li, do you have any paper money with you? Any denomination will do," Su Xiaoou asked, maintaining a serious expression.
"Let check," Li Yuntang searched through her belongings but quickly said with an apologetic look, "I didn’t bring any."
"Then, does any audience mber have paper money with them? Please pass up any bill you have, preferably a newer one," Su Xiaoou turned her gaze towards the audience seats.
A rustling sound started below the stage, as the audience mbers began searching for money.
In the anti, Su Xiaoou turned her back and said, "Now I will compose a Prediction text ssage and send it to you, please do not check it before the magic trick ends, otherwise, it would not be magic, but a show-off."
"Mmm-hmm, I understand," Li Yuntang took off her watch and placed it on the table, indicating she definitely would not peek at the text ssage.
While composing the text ssage, Su Xiaoou also took great care to hide it, not letting anyone see.
Jiang Shu took a peek from beside her, but he saw nothing, so he didn’t attempt to look anymore.
He wanted to try and guess the secret of Su Xiaoou’s magic trick from the perspective of a bystander.
So far, it seed Su Xiaoou had altered that magic trick quite a bit, almost beyond recognition.
Before long, a girl in the first row of the audience passed up a hundred-yuan bill.
"Good, Miss Li, please take it and find the year on it," Su Xiaoou then continued, "Keep it in your mind silently."
"Okay," Li Yuntang picked up the bill and quickly located the year on it, then put down the paper money, "What’s next?"
"Next, you can fold the bill, fold after fold, until it becos a small square like this," Su Xiaoou took a folded square of a ten-yuan bill from her pocket and put it on the table, "You see, this is a ten, and the one you’re holding is a hundred, so I couldn’t have secretly switched them, could I?"
"Right," Li Yuntang looked at what she held and agreed, "Indeed, they’re different colors."
Jiang Shu glanced and took it all in.
The size of Lonely City’s paper money was similar to the kind he had used in a previous life; folded thrice, it could form a small square.
"Very good, from now on keep your small square safe, don’t let anyone see it," Su Xiaoou said earnestly,
"Let think, the year you just saw is... 2087, isn’t it?" Su Xiaoou addressed Li Yuntang.
"Yes, it’s 2087," Li Yuntang nodded subconsciously, but suddenly she frowned and questioned, "No, that’s not right, of course the year would be 2087, it’s the issue year for this series of currency, all the bills are printed with 2087."
"Is that so? No wonder I was always successful before," Su Xiaoou scratched her head and laughed it off, "But tonight’s Prediction is not just that, now please join in a magic trick about imagination, shall we?"
"Sure," A smug smile appeared on Li Yuntang’s face, seemingly delighted at uncovering the secret of Su Xiaoou’s magic.
"Now, imagine there are three cups in front of you, they are numbered one, two, and three," Su Xiaoou pointed three tis in the air as if there were indeed three cups there, "Now, you can put the small square of paper money into cup number one, just by imagining it, no need to actually move."
"Okay," Li Yuntang nodded.
"Great, now you can pour the paper money from cup number one into the other cups, all in your imagination," Su Xiaoou demonstrated with her hand in the air, "Once you’re done, please tell ."
