Sages Tower, President’s office.

Several Simulated Light Screens appeared over the elongated conference table, while the President stood in front of it, watching the tabletop with a dark expression.

Ever since the Cleaner and the Rift’s attacks, he had stayed put there; only there, only in his own office, did he feel a sense of safety. Both the Cleaner’s shot and the Rift’s strong robbery were incredibly dangerous; had he not been lucky, he would have died in the hallway outside.

He gripped his fists tightly, then slamd one down on the conference table, causing it to shake.

"President, the Police have left," said the face of the supervision team leader from one of the Simulated Light Screens on the table. "They just took so evidence at random in the tower; it seems that their goal was not to gather evidence."

"Of course, it wasn’t to gather evidence!" the President clenched his teeth in anger. "They didn’t even have a legitimate search warrant, so this type of evidence collection wouldn’t validate any evidence they obtained."

He continued, "They were simply here to take those two Police officers away."

However, at the sa ti, the President once again began to doubt his own judgnt, muttering to himself, "That’s not right either; what exactly did those two Police officers co to the company to do?"

He always felt that many things were amiss.

Were those two Police officers really trying to infiltrate and collect evidence of the company’s illegal activities?

To ensure there were no mistakes, he had dispatched his most capable Secretary Han, who had always been reliable. With her shadowing those two, they shouldn’t have had the ti or opportunity to see anything they shouldn’t have seen.

Suddenly, as if he rembered sothing, he said to the supervision team leader, "Go, pull up the surveillance footage from the hallway outside my office. At that ti, that tall Police officer said sothing."

"Yes, do you have any further instructions, Mr. President?" The supervision team leader bowed slightly.

"Also, arrange for soone to interrogate that what’s-his-na again..." The President thought for a mont for the na, then said, "Hughes, right, Hughes. I always feel there’s sothing big he’s hiding from us."

"Yes." The supervision team leader nodded and quickly ran off. He had many things to do, and only by keeping himself busy could he alleviate the worries buried deep in his heart.

Just one morning, an inexplicable assassination, the Police’s targeting of the Group... this series of events made him sense an ominous sign.

But he could not inquire nor doubt anything; he had to stand firmly behind the President. If the President fell, he was sure he wouldn’t escape either.

And all of this, all thanks to that traitor, it was that traitor who brought these people and events.

Thinking this, his steps hastened; he needed to visit Hughes again. This ti, he was determined to extract more secrets from Hughes’s lips.

Within the office, the President paced back and forth in front of the long table, as though he were thinking about sothing or simply caught in a state of anxiety.

Suddenly, the Simulated Light Screen on the long table flickered to life, illuminating a woman’s portrait. It was a ssage from Secretary Han, so the President imdiately clicked on it.

Secretary Han: President, please take a look at this video that has just been released; it has already surpassed a hundred thousand views.

Along with the ssage was a video link.

The President didn’t think too much and clicked on the video directly.

Within just a few seconds, his complexion turned ashen, and as more of the video’s revealing truths unfolded over ti, his expression grew increasingly ugly.

Eventually, the President’s face seed to twist into a distorted shape, as if seared by the rage in his heart.

"Bang!" He pounded his fist on the conference table, causing a ripple-like tremor across the Simulated Light Screens.

How is this possible...

How is it possible!

Who leaked these things?

The content covered five building zones, and collecting evidence would take more than just a bit of ti...

So who was behind it?

"Damn!" The President slamd the table again, cursing with an expletive he rarely used. But then, as if he had vented his feelings, he quickly regained his composure, propping his hands against the table and bowing his head to think.

Refreshing once, he looked again at the view count — in the short span of ten minutes, it had risen by nearly thirty thousand, and the number of simultaneous online viewers had reached a terrifying five thousand.

The video was spreading faster than he had anticipated, and when the President opened the comnts, the screen filled with colorful ssages blinded him.

A large number of "strict punishnt" and "protect" comnts, interspersed with so longer comnts that flashed by too quickly for the President to read clearly.

However, even from these brief glimpses, it was completely clear that the comnts were uniformly against the company.

Then he looked at the selected comnts.

"After watching, I was silent for a long ti. I prepared to leave but felt unsettled. I wanted to say sothing, but in the end, I just comnted so nonsense."

"Hang these villains!"

"Strict punishnt! Protection!"

"This is how the world has always been, hasn’t it?"

"The labor laws still need to change. Why do we work earnestly and only get this in return?"
