"One hundred thousand Feather Coins a month is a decent sum for the forr extra that you were, but with your ability to communicate with rodent species, earning that much is a breeze." Nevertheless, Jiang Shu didn’t let his guard down, because the price of this transaction seed too low.

He wondered if the Rat King Phil was intentionally setting the bar so low, or if his vision was just that limited. A monthly salary of one hundred thousand was an unimaginably huge amount to him.

But as Jiang Shu had ntioned, for a Wisdom Mutant with a power that defies common understanding, a re one hundred thousand a month was minuscule.

Using rat soldiers to stealthily loot, to carry poison for secret assassinations, to establish an information trading organization, etc.

A little thought reveals many ways to make money. If Jiang Shu had this ability, he certainly wouldn’t have ended up in such a situation.

"I..." Rat King Phil’s expression suddenly beca a bit awkward; it scratched its head and explained, "I don’t dare."

"Hmm?" Jiang Shu looked at it, sounding puzzled.

"To earn money legally, I’d have to deal with people, right? Who knows if they would get wicked ideas seeing like this. Getting captured by so Mysterious organization for research or enslavent... I’d rather stay in my sewer," Phil said assuredly, his face full of helplessness. "If it’s sothing illegal to make money... I don’t have the guts to do those things either. Besides, I’m in the Fifth District, and there’s a Dick Tang there. If I get involved in illegal activities, even just being noticed would get caught, right? If caught, I’ll surely die."

"That’s true." Jiang Shu understood.

In the end, even as a one-in-a-million Wisdom Mutant, Rat King Phil was still that background actor, that nobody. It had neither the power nor the ambition, only self-awareness.

"And most importantly, if I encounter soone like you, I might end up with a good fate, right?" Phil smiled slightly; it obviously wanted to smile normally, but, matched with its rat face, it seed more like a sly grin.

This was the very epito of looking shifty.

It continued with a hint of pride on its rat face, "See? I’ve run into you, haven’t I? I can tell, you’re a good person. If I were violent and murderous, I’d be a dead rat by now. But I can guarantee you, I don’t steal, or rob, nor have I ever hurt anyone. I’m a good citizen."

"Indeed, if you had ill intentions towards , you would be dead by now," Jiang Shu couldn’t help but be amused by its statent. He had maintained a peaceful conversation with it, sensing the creature was not evil at heart.

Rat King Phil’s thoughts were utterly those of an average person, but it stood out from most ordinary people in one aspect: it had a deep understanding of itself, both in psychological analysis and in comprehension of its abilities.

Such people, while not likely to accomplish great things, live with peace of mind and won’t end up being targeted by a Fla Demon, only to be resurrected and imprisoned in the form of a Paperman.

Just as it said, it just wanted to stay in its sewer, at most hoping for a slightly comfortable life while also taking care of its rat underlings.

"Just give the information I need. As long as they aren’t those particularly tough targets, I can get the relevant intel in no more than three days," Phil didn’t ramble anymore, raising its head and speaking confidently to Jiang Shu about its information-gathering skills. After all, it had informants all over the Fifth District.

So far, Rat King Phil was quite satisfied with its new master.

Power...

Unfathomable.

Just from observing the aloof tough guy behind Jiang Shu, Phil felt an unsettling fear. Upon becoming a rat person, it gained an ability of "crisis sensing," and the sense of danger that the tough guy brought when he caught it was unprecedented.

And then there was the unseen Fla Demon.

Personality-wise, at least, it was soone who rarely showed respect to it.

And the most important point was...

It seed quite wealthy; it knew its initial choice wasn’t wrong!

Entertainnt Series was where the big money was!

So it decided to do so work to show loyalty to its new master.

"Alright, I need you to find Tang, Dick Tang, and his research bases. Ideally, confirm the research objectives of these bases. I need the new Black Wall and bioweapon research bases," Jiang Shu listed all the things he had earlier prepared in his mind, speaking nonstop, "And Diller Dick’s location. He might still be within the Dick Manor, or he might not be..."

"Wait, wait!" Hearing these nas that chilled its spine, Rat King Phil suddenly interrupted Jiang Shu with a shriek, "Wait a minute, Tang? Dick Tang? Diller Dick? The nesis of cri? And the T1 Research Sequence?"

"That’s right," Jiang Shu nodded, "What’s the matter? Right, last ti I only eliminated Tang’s Fake Body, and I’ve killed the original once and two Fake Bodies... He’s down to his last Fake Body, so he must be hiding well and not showing himself lightly. As for Diller, he’s been killed before, so considering the Research Sequence’s caution, finding him is as tough as finding Tang. That’s why I need your help."
