Kirie Tsukimiya hadn't been sleeping well these past few days.
Since the day she witnessed the witchcraft scene, she had been using her authority to collect relevant data throughout the entire city. Kirie Tsukimiya was chewing gum, scrolling through short videos on Prosthetic Eye, and when she caught a glimpse of Jiang Shu from the corner of her eye, she was imdiately startled and took several steps back, swallowing her gum.

He couldn't let this equipnt slip away.
"Cough, cough—" The gum got stuck in her throat with her saliva, and Kirie, unable to speak, beca even more panicked, desperately trying to get the gum out.

"Cough, puh—" With a short cough, the gum uncontrollably shot out of her throat through her mouth and stuck onto Jiang Shu's face, who was only an arm's length away.

It was over; all her gear was in the laboratory, and now it was totally impossible to defeat this Wizard.
"This seems to be a dead-end." Jiang Shu saw the end of the corridor.
That is to say, Kirie was hiding in one of these four rooms in front of him.
He observed the rooms for a mont. They all seed to be storerooms, not very big, and each door had a small barred window which allowed him to see inside.

"Let guess... are you in here?" He turned his head to look inside the first storeroom, only to see clutter and made an annoyed noise, "Not here."
Jiang Shu turned to the second room, "Then... are you in here?"
Kirie was trembling; she wasn't sure if this trembling was out of fear, but in any case, she could feel her heart racing.

It wasn't a deer crashing around but a pig charging forward.
She leaned against the door, probably the only position that could block the angle of view and remain undetected. She collapsed there, every inch of her muscles soft and powerless, all urging her to give up resistance.
"Da, da, da—" The footsteps stopped in front of the third room, heavy breathing passing through the barred window into the storeroom.
Kirie collapsed onto the floor in despair, she wasn't religious, but at this mont, she was calling out to God's na frantically in her mind.

The storeroom door opened; Kirie stood in the doorway, her heart filled with sorrow, she understood she couldn't escape. In this resignation, her fear dissipated and turned into a novel sensation.
The rapid secretion of dopamine made her feel sowhat warm, even a tangible comfort.
Whatever you're going to do, I won't yield.
"Co on." She looked up at Jiang Shu, her body half in darkness and half bathed in the warm light, looking utterly holy.

Kirie closed her eyes, holding her breath, waiting for the punishnt that was yet to co.
