Jiang Shu looked at the entry nad "Control Power," a term that the magic performance had bestowed upon him.
It seed to acknowledge his ability to flexibly control and use multiple different terms during his magic acts.
At first glance, this "Control Power" entry seed utterly useless.
It was nothing more than a combination of different terms, sothing Jiang Shu could already do—during a performance, he would certainly have demonstrated his "Mysterious Aura" and acting skills, among others.
This was consistent with the definition of a term: only if he possessed the ability would he have the term.
But after acquiring this term, so subtle changes began to occur...
He discovered that the "Control Power" entry also affected Derivative Entries, suggesting that his Derivative Entries had undergone so changes.
For example, the effectiveness of the Paper Card Technique could now reach a broader range and be manipulated with greater precision.
For instance, the Optical Invisibility Technique allowed him to make certain parts of his clothing invisible or even specific items that touched his body.
In other words, he could streak while dressed.
...
Anyway, that’s not the point; the focus was that he could now conceal his weapons, such as a gun or knife in his hand.
Though bullets couldn’t be hidden, his action of firing the gun could be even more unpredictable.
But now he rarely needed to shoot a gun himself.
However, Jiang Shu was pleasantly surprised when he used "Control Power" in other ways.
It allowed different Derivative Entries to fuse characteristics.
For instance, the Xiu Snakes he summoned could be given the ability of Invisibility.
But due to insufficient spiritual power, he could currently summon only one Xiu Snake with Invisibility capabilities.
He also tried other variations, such as a Paper Card-controlling Xiu Snake, a Shadow Cutting Xiu Snake, and even a Mind Reading and predicting Xiu Snake.
But these all failed due to the limits of his spiritual power, as rging two Derivative Entries through the "Control Power" term required much more spiritual energy than normal use.
Only Derivative Entries with smaller consumption, like Invisibility, could be sustained.
Besides, the intelligence level of the Xiu Snakes was simply too low, akin to a one- or two-year-old child, at most able to distinguish friend from foe, so having them conduct operations like card manipulation or mind reading was too much of a stretch.
A Shadow Cutting Xiu Snake might be feasible, but that would be after increasing his spiritual power limit in the future.
Training a Xiu Snake to adeptly use Shadow Cutting would also be sowhat troubleso.
But he could imagine that the effect would surely be impressive.
A Xiu Snake that could harm enemies by attacking their shadows would be an extrely terrifying monster.
Not to ntion Jiang Shu also wanted to try combining a Xiu Snake with Optical Invisibility Technique and Shadow Cutting—the Xiu Snake in that state would definitely be a devastating weapon.
Or even a Thunder edition of the Xiu Snake, which would certainly be a boss-level frightening beast.
Of course, all these were just hypotheticals for the present.
After all, Jiang Shu had yet to figure out how he could enhance his spiritual power.
Thinking of this, Jiang Shu’s thoughts turned to Sister Liu Tingruo.
He hadn’t seen Liu Tingruo’s na on the list of developers for the new product launch by White Eagle Technology Co., Ltd. in the Fifth District tomorrow, but that didn’t an she wouldn’t be there.
Thus, he decided to look for Sister Liu Tingruo; for various reasons, he needed to find her.
Jiang Shu sighed.
It had been three months since he’d last seen her. Were it not for the occasional ssages from Liu Tingruo’s Paperman saying "all is well," he would have been incapable of holding back from visiting her.
However, he also knew better than to disturb Liu Tingruo during such tis.
"Alright then, try out this ’Thunder Driving and Electric Strategy’ again," Jiang Shu said, looking at the small creature nad Ding.
Logically, this ability was intended for another spirit called Xiao Bing, but it refused, reasoning that Elental abilities like this would be better suited for Ding.
The other two spirits also nodded in agreent, suggesting that "Thunder Driving and Electric Strategy" and "Fla Spirit" were similar in terms of power pathways, so it was more appropriate for Ding.
And so, Ding gained another Derivative Entry.
As it turned out, Ding rapidly mastered this ability, handling the thunder and lightning deftly.
Ding raised its hand, and a thick bolt of lightning imdiately appeared, dancing around its hand, looking extraordinary and divine.
Under Ding’s manipulation, the lightning gradually turned purple and condensed into a...
Hamr?
Speaker A: Thunder Shock!
Speaker B: This heaven-conquering ability, the land-sinking Purple Gold Hamr!
Ding extended a hand while another erupted with a bundle of flas, which it shaped into a flaming longsword under its control.
Speaker C: Purple Lightning!
Speaker B: Speak of the Xuanzhen Fla, a sword that hangs in the heavens and changes the world!
The three spirits were also jumping around Ding, nodding and making aningless gestures, resembling little natives around a bonfire or ritualistic shamans, and Ding carried on waving a hamr of thunder in one hand and a sword of fire in the other, greeting the little natives.
Jiang Shu: "..."
God damn it, Ding was deed more suitable for controlling Elental Derivative Entries, just for this scene, right?!
The four of them never changed, truly preserving their original aspirations.
"Stop fooling around; Ding won’t be able to handle the electrical consumption at this rate," Jiang Shu said, gesturing for Ding to stop.
