"Wolf," Jiang Shu nods at Jiang Shu.

Jiang Shu, however, slightly furrows his brow, finding Wolf’s deanor sowhat unsettling.

What exactly happened in Thirteen District during those three months?

Why does Wolf seem so out of sorts?

And under this condition, he still wants his help to find the Fox...

Tang is truly despicable.

"Alright, let’s get going," Tang glances at Jiang Shu from the rearview mirror of the car before starting the vehicle.

"Where to?" Jiang Shu asks subconsciously.

"To a place... where we can catch the Fox," Tang replies with a smile.

Jiang Shu looks out the window, toward the suburbs, without much concern.

The night was rising, misty like a curtain.

"How will we catch them?" Jiang Shu asks offhandedly while the four Tablet Spirits beside him leisurely swing their legs.

"I’ve already learned their real identity and location," Tang says, hands gripping the steering wheel.

Jiang Shu looks at Tang in surprise, "How do you know that?"

At the sa ti, he uses the Mind Reading Technique.

[...]

No feedback.

Hmm?

Jiang Shu frowns.

No feedback at all?

He had not encountered this situation before.

Could it be that he’s used more Mana than he has, failing to use the technique successfully?

He tries his Foreknowledge ability, but the scenes that appear in his mind shock him even more.

Everything else in the car is normal, except for the driver’s seat of the sedan...

It’s empty.

So what exactly is driving this car?

Jiang Shu can’t help but shiver, then he shifts away from Tang within the sedan.

The whole atmosphere takes on a sinister air.

Without Foreknowledge and Mind Reading, Jiang Shu has no idea what Tang might do next.

And Tang continues to speak.

"You’ve suspected that I might be Smiley Face," Tang states affirmatively, not as a question.

Jiang Shu instantly turns to look at Wolf.

"No no no, Wolf hasn’t ntioned these things to ," Tang waves his hand dismissively, "It’s rely my guess."

Jiang Shu: "..."

Here we go again.

"If I were you, I would obviously be suspicious as well," Tang shrugs, then says, "because I deliberately revealed so many flaws."

"Hmm?" Jiang Shu keenly picks up on the information, "Deliberately? Flaws?"

"Yes." Tang nods, "During that ti, from previous Deception cases and the interrogation recordings of Fang Yue, I discovered so interesting things."

"What things?" Up until now, Jiang Shu has no idea what Tang is trying to say.

And Ding, beside him, looks at Tang with an expression of astonished discovery, as if stumbling upon a new world.

Tang then explains one by one, a hint of a smile on his face, as if bragging about his achievents like a child.

"First, the mbers of Deception Group do not trust each other."

"Second, it seems only the Fox in the Deception Group knows whether Smiley Face is a smokescreen or a real person."

"Third, the Fox and Devil Wind have gone to Thirteen District, and their target is the Special Prison."

Jiang Shu extends his hand, indicating for him to pause, "Wait a minute, I’m aware of the first two points, but the third... how did you conclude that?"

"It’s quite simple," Tang continues, "In a previous case where Deception Group attacked the police station, the Fox had issued a huge Bounty Order with a substantial amount of Black Silver."

He speaks languidly, "I suspected that maybe the Fox wanted to recruit a batch... of special talents."

Jiang Shu nods slightly.

The Key Master.

It isn’t surprising that Tang knows about the Key Master.

Considering that angle, it isn’t unusual.

"Since there wasn’t any other breakthrough, I just followed this lead," Tang says, "And then I discovered sothing interesting. So people have t with the Fox; their related mories were erased by the Fox, but not without leaving traces."

"Three conspicuous individuals left Seventh District: a courier, an electrician, and a Brewer," Tang says, "They all took roughly three days off. Three days are just enough for a round trip, with not many destinations to choose from."

He adds, nonchalantly, "Just right, there was a disturbance at the Special Prison in Thirteen District, so I speculated they went to Thirteen District, and their purpose related to the prison, at the ti, I felt, was to rescue the artist Fang Yue. What do you think?"

"Indeed," Jiang Shu doesn’t question it, as Tang has always put himself in the Fox’s shoes while analyzing; his line of reasoning has no major flaws.

"Deception Group always tries to minimize personnel for every operation. If it’s really for Fang Yue, not ntioning Ancient Snake for now, from the information we have and our last speculation, Mu Jin doesn’t need to be involved, as she lacks significant combat ability." Tang narrows his eyes, "I realized that if she remained in Seventh District, our chance might have co."

"How so?" Sothing seems to click in Jiang Shu’s mind; he senses that the key to Tang’s breakthrough lies within this Mu Jin.

"Mu Jin’s identity, status, and motive for joining the Deception Group differ from the other three," Tang shares, "She seems to be there just for the lilight and amusent. I ntioned on the first day I t you that she would be the best way in."

"You... found her?" Jiang Shu is sowhat surprised.
