"I’ve gone to the First District, and I’m there right now," Jiang Shu answered directly, feeling there was no need to hide too much.
This inexplicable disappearance, if his whereabouts couldn’t be traced, would be terrible if soone falsely accused him of sothing.
"Gone to the First District? What are you doing there?" Wolf was taken aback by Jiang Shu’s response, which he hadn’t anticipated.
The First District was half a Lonely City away from the Seventh District, so what was Jiang Shu doing going so far for no reason?
"Tourism," Jiang Shu answered matter-of-factly, "I’d always heard that the view from Sky Tower was beautiful, and when I finally saw it a few days ago, it truly was exceptional."
His tone was full of admiration.
Wolf felt like punching him.
"You’ve missed a lot over the past few days," Wolf said irritably.
"What happened? Deception Group causing trouble again?" Jiang Shu replied offhandedly.
The so-called happenings were essentially related to Deception Group; and by lots of happenings, he ant Deception Group had stirred up quite so trouble.
"Deception Group assassinated a few people involved in the Keyin Company case," Wolf paused, "and they took on a few other cases too, our police cannot handle it, and you just disappeared."
"So?" Jiang Shu detected an ominous tone in his voice.
"So they’ve sent Chief Tang over, yes, Chief Dick Tang," Wolf said helplessly.
Jiang Shu’s gaze flickered, and he stopped in his tracks.
After a long while, he replied in a mocking tone, "What’s the matter, isn’t he your idol? You don’t seem very welcoming?"
As he said this, Jiang Shu’s face remained expressionless, and the relaxed tone contrasted starkly with his calm deanor.
Anyone seeing this would find it inwardly strange.
"It’s a different story, don’t you know colleagues can be rivals?" Wolf said, sowhat distressed, "Isn’t this just proving they think our police station can’t handle Deception Group?"
Jiang Shu’s gaze shifted slightly, and he replied in an irritatingly dubious tone, "So, who in your police station can handle Deception Group cases?"
"..." Wolf’s tone stalled, then he retorted, "It’s just a matter of ti, just give ... and you so more ti, we could definitely catch them."
"So?" Jiang Shu replied casually as he walked into a convenience store, planning to buy sothing to eat.
He planned to take the high-speed rail back.
As for the Magic Table, it can stay in the Fifth District.
"So if he catches Deception Group quickly, wouldn’t that be embarrassing for us?" Wolf sounded a bit annoyed.
"Then we should help Deception Group," Jiang Shu chuckled, "As long as your entire police station drags their feet on this case, delaying it for a couple of months shouldn’t be a problem."
"Do you think that’s possible?" Wolf said irritably, suddenly recalling sothing, "You better co back soon, Chief Tang asked us to find you as soon as possible; he has so things to ask you."
"How soon can I co back? It takes a while even by high-speed rail," Jiang Shu picked up a ready-to-eat al, handed it to the clerk to heat up.
The microwave food here couldn’t compare to the shops back in his previous country; it was several degrees worse.
As for exactly how many degrees worse, if using Sister Ruoh’s horrible cooking as a unit of asurent, it would be dozens of Tins Ruoh.
"You better co back quickly, there’s a strange atmosphere at the police station," Wolf said gravely.
"Okay, okay, I get it." The only upside of this kind of food was the shorter waiting ti; Jiang Shu grabbed it and took a bite.
Ugh—
He missed Sister Ruoh.
He longed for her sweet and sour rib mush.
