"You... You’re really going to go? It’s too dangerous, let go with you," Wolf said, rising to his feet upon seeing the situation.
"No need, I can go on my own," Jiang Shu shook his head as he looked toward the ten people whispering anxiously in the corner. "You’d better calm them down and keep them from ssing up the plan."
With that, he quickly dashed out of the conference hall, leaving no chance for Wolf to follow him towards the laboratory with Xiao Jia. Rather than being a mascot here, he preferred the freedom to move about without any restrictions.
"Boom—" Just as he reached the door to Kirie’s office, Jiang Shu heard a loud noise coming from upstairs, followed by a series of dull footsteps.
rely from the chaotic footsteps, he knew there were more than one person upstairs, at least ten.
"Others as well?" He was puzzled, but did not slow his actions. He unlocked the door and obtained the Mirror Paper that Kirie had prepared.
But would these people ensure no harm ca to the police officers? Could it be that the Fox had changed?
That shouldn’t be the case, no one had provoked him, and such characters usually don’t shift their personalities so easily.
Just like Batman, if he says he won’t kill, he won’t. If he does kill, it can only an this isn’t the main storyline.
Or, should he go upstairs now and deal with these people?
Having grabbed the Mirror Paper, Jiang Shu stood at the door of Kirie’s lab, his gaze toward the end of the corridor where he could ascend to the second floor. Judging from the sounds, the enemies above were coming down.
Forget it, it wouldn’t be easy to explain to Wolf.
Jiang Shu had another idea in mind. He typed a ssage on Xiao Jia’s screen to relay to the other three SJs to inform Wolf, then turned off the screen.
"Huff—" Heavy footsteps sounded at the end of the corridor, a bulky figure leapt down the stairs, causing the floor to dent slightly.
"chanical Disciple?" Jiang Shu recognized the person; this one wasn’t much different from the two he had encountered at the Seksi Hotel.
What was a chanical Disciple doing in a place like this?
He blinked, looking past the chanical Disciple. No companions were following.
Just one Disciple?
Therefore, he let the chanical Disciple approach step by step. Now, he could easily handle such chanical Disciples.
Paper Card Technique coupled with Shadow Cutting, a bug-like combo technique, could be called a divine grass-cutting skill.
"Non-attack target. Non-attack target. Non-attack target..." As it got closer, Jiang Shu could hear what the chanical Disciple was muttering.
As expected, the Fox hadn’t changed.
Jiang Shu thus relaxed. He didn’t see any weapons in the hands of the chanical Disciple and it looked like the Fox planned to have these chanical Disciples knock out all the cops here with their bare hands?
Not very realistic, is it?
"Bang—" The chanical Disciple punched open the door of a nearby office, then entered chanically to search for non-existent targets.
After searching that office, it moved on to the next one.
It seed they were conducting a carpet search?
Jiang Shu got it and sprinted toward the conference hall, yelling a warning to the cops ard with steel guns as he passed through his own defences.
"Quick, get ready, the Deception Group is coming, there’s a lot of them!" He ran into the conference hall.
The conference hall was now empty, all the officers having been deployed to the outer defences, leaving only Wolf and Kirie in the room.
Jiang Shu looked around, then pointed toward an empty corner and called out to Wolf, "Co and help set up the Mirror Paper."
He smiled, "Let’s give the Fox a surprise."
