Emlyn cast her glance toward the three n who were standing at the end of the deck, talking with wine in their hands. Gewen had joined Mars and Edgar there and now it seed the three n decided to watch the sunset together.
From this side, the three n made a really beautiful sight with the orange skyline as the background. Emlyn nudged Kira, "Can't you tell that Gewen likes you?"
She decided to bring up that subject again because she felt sorry for Gewen who had been trying to get Kira's attention for four months to no avail. Emlyn wanted to know if Kira intentionally act cold toward Gewen, or she was really unaware of the man's feelings.
Kira shook her head. "No, I have no idea. What makes you think he likes ?"
"Well... I thought it's quite obvious," Emlyn chuckled. "He always found excuses to co and talk to you, and his face had that stupid grin whenever he saw your presence."
"Really???" Kira furrowed her brows in confusion. "I never paid attention."
"Well... now that you know he likes you... what do you think about him?" Emlyn asked Kira. "Do you think he is attractive? Do you think he is smart and brave?"
Kira thought about Emlyn's question and finally replied, "Well... now that you ntioned it, I actually think he is okay. He can be annoying sotis, but he is not an. I also think he is quite handso. As for being smart and brave... I'm not sure."
"Well... it might not seem like it, but Gewen is actually a general. He, together with Mars and Edgar fought so many battles and they won every single one of them," Emlyn explained. "He just doesn't look tough or brash like most n, but I once sparred with him and he could take down EASILY."
"Really?" Kira rembered the mont when she killed six wolves who surrounded Gewen in the forest.
She thought Gewen was weak because of that one mont. When she explained it to Emlyn, she was surprised to hear Emlyn's response.
"I think he was just dazed because you ca out of nowhere imdiately and slain those wolves. I am sure in normal circumstances, he would be able to kill them all," Emlyn said with a chuckle.
She knew what Gewen was capable of because they sparred before and also because Mars told her that between the three of them, none of them was significantly weaker than the others.
Their strength and combat skills were actually on par with each other. You could say Edgar was the strongest, Mars was the most resilient, and Gewen was the fastest. They all were formidable.
Emlyn suspected Gewen was in awe and enamored by Kira's presence that he was too shocked to move during the wolves incident, and just watched Kira kill the six grey wolves alone.
"Really?" Kira glanced at Gewen to assess him and then turned to Emlyn again. "It's really hard to believe, but if you say so, I believe you."
"Maybe you can go hunting together with Gewen when we reach Draec and see for yourself if he is really as weak as you thought he is," Emlyn said with a smile. "I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised."
Kira chuckled and finally smiled. "Okay. we'll see about that."
She glanced at Gewen again. This ti, the man happened to look in her direction. Their eyes locked. Kira raised an eyebrow at him and smiled. Hovewer, much to Kira's surprise, Gewen didn't smile back. He actually turned to Mars and continued their chatter.
It made Kira furrow her brows in confusion. This was strange, she thought. Usually, Gewen would always smile so broadly whenever he laid his eyes on her.
But just now he didn't smile at all, and in fact, he acted as if he didn't see Kira.
Kira didn't like being ignored like this. Why did Gewen look away after their eyes t? Did he find Kira annoying?
Wait... Emlyn said Gewen liked her a lot. Did he no longer like her? Did Gewen's feelings change after Emlyn and Kira talked about him? Why wasn't Gewen smiling when he saw Kira just now?

She stole another glance at the man, but Gewen still didn't look in her direction. Uff...
"I can't wait to get to the shore," Kira said to Emlyn suddenly, trying to distract her mind from Gewen. "I have a surprise for you."
"A surprise for ?" Emlyn widened her eyes. "What is it?"
Kira raised an eyebrow. "It's not a surprise if I told you now."
"Surprise." Harlow suddenly chirped.
The two won's attention turned to her and they both laughed heartily. Harlow already had twelve teeth now and they looked so cute when she smiled.
Kira had sent many letters to her father to look for Emlyn's teacher and his son since Emlyn left for Myreen. She still rembered her promise to help Emly look for her teacher.
Kira received good news before they boarded the ship in Glasswell toward Winterre and she couldn't wait to share it with Emlyn.
She believed Emlyn would like this one surprise from her.
anwhile, Gewen was almost crying when he downed his wine.
"This is soooo hard," he muttered over and over.
From the corner of his eyes, Gewen could see Kira looked at him several tis, but his two friends always threw him murderous glares, signaling him not to look at her back.
"It's been four months and she still doesn't care about you," Mars said, crossing his arms on his chest. "It's because you keep chasing her. Won don't like it. They will actually feel intrigued if the man who has been showering them with attention, suddenly stops doing it."
Edgar nodded. "That's why we both suggest you ignore her. If she feels like there is sothing missing in her life, she will realize that you have value and she is missing you. But if she doesn't even realize that you are ignoring her, it ans she really doesn't care about you and it's your cue to stop chasing her love."
"Why are you guys telling this?" Gewen pursed his lips. "You are not experts on won. I am."
"You are the expert on won and this is the advice you gave us a long ti ago," Mars said with a chuckle. "And now it seems that you are the one who needs your own advice. Falling in love has made you lose all your intelligence."
