Caspian staggered back, sweat dripping down his temple.

He had taken out Marcus.

But the battle wasn't over.

And they knew it.

Seraph was still up—though barely.

Aegis had one capsule left.

Varren was still standing.

And Zane—

Zane had just finished charging his next spell.

Caspian felt it before he saw it.

A deep, throbbing hum in the air.

Zane's hands glowed with pulsing arcs of red and violet.

Explosive Convergence—Second Release.

And it was aid at him.

Caspian barely had ti to react before Lyrius shouted—

"Move!"

The battlefield erupted in a blinding storm of fire.

And everything turned white.

[Caspian Eliminated]

Caspian was gone.

Lyrius Ryder stood frozen, the battlefield spinning in his vision.

He was supposed to be the strongest.

He was supposed to last until the end.

And yet—he was the first to fall among them.

A hollow silence settled in Lyrius' chest, anger twisting with disbelief.

Caspian—that stubborn, arrogant bastard—was supposed to carry them.

Yet now, he was gone.

And Lyrius was still here.

"Pathetic," he hissed under his breath, shoulders shaking.

It wasn't fear.

It wasn't grief.

It was rage.

If Caspian—the strongest among them—couldn't survive… then what the hell were they supposed to do?

He forced the thought down. There was no ti to dwell.

One mistake, and he'd be next.

Aegis had been playing the long ga—hanging back, conserving his energy, protecting instead of attacking.

It worked.

Until now.

He had one capsule left.

Which ant he was the easiest target.

Lyrius' gaze flicked to Calenthir, the only other one still at his side. Her dagger twirled between her fingers, her sharp eyes locked on Aegis like a predator watching prey.

Their eyes t for half a second.

No words.

They didn't need them.

Aegis dies first.

They moved.

Aegis saw them coming—but he was too slow.

Calenthir was already inside his guard, her dagger slicing toward his ribs.

Barrier.

Aegis barely got the defense up in ti, but Lyrius was already two steps ahead.

His rapier lunged, piercing through the barrier before it could fully form.

Aegis flinched—and that hesitation was the end of him.

Calenthir's blade followed imdiately after, striking the exposed opening.

The capsule shattered.

A burst of light—and Aegis was gone.

[Aegis – Eliminated.]

Lyrius barely spared the empty space a glance.

Three left.

And Seraph—

Seraph was fast.

That was his entire playstyle—mobility, teleportation, precision.

But his mistake was simple.

He wasn't faster than both of them.

Calenthir forced him to react, her footwork relentless, her strikes flowing like water.

Seraph's blade deflected one—two—three slashes—

But Lyrius was waiting.

The mont Seraph committed to dodging Calenthir's next attack—Lyrius struck from behind.

The rapier pierced clean through the air—

And connected.

Seraph barely had ti to choke out a breath before his capsule exploded into shards of light.

[Seraph – Eliminated.]

.

Two vs. Two.

Lyrius Ryder exhaled, rolling his shoulders.

Across from him, Varren and Zane stood ready.

Varren, the spear-wielding nace—his strikes were clean, efficient, relentless.

Zane, the kinetic manipulator—every attack he touched beca sothing faster, sharper, deadlier.

Both of them were exhausted. Just like Lyrius and Calenthir.

And that ant this fight would be decided in monts.

Calenthir's voice cut through the tense silence.

"I'll handle Zane. You take Varren."

Lyrius didn't argue. They didn't have ti.

The mont the words left her mouth—she moved.

A portal shimred open—and she was gone.

Zane barely had ti to react before a blade sliced toward his throat.

But he was fast.

Too fast.

He twisted, kinetic energy rippling off his body, his movents sharp and unpredictable.

Calenthir vanished through another portal before he could retaliate.

She was playing her ga.

A perfect hit-and-run strategy.

But Lyrius knew better.

She wouldn't last long.

Varren didn't waste ti.

The mont Calenthir disappeared, the spear-user lunged.

Lyrius barely had ti to dodge, the spear whistling past his ribs.

Damn. He's still this fast?

Varren's strikes were relentless.

One. Two. Three. Each one faster than the last.

Lyrius' rapier flicked up, deflecting one strike after another.

He forced his breathing to stay steady.

Wait for an opening.

Varren was strong—but predictable.

And Lyrius had one advantage.

Copy.

The mont their weapons clashed—he felt it.

The technique. The stance. The rhythm of Varren's attacks.

And then—

He used it against him.

Lyrius mirrored Varren's movent perfectly, his rapier shifting like a spear.

Varren's eyes widened—realizing too late.

Lyrius struck.

The attack was clean—too clean.

But before it landed—

Varren smirked.

Lyrius' stomach dropped.

Shit.

A force slamd into his side.

Zane.

Lyrius barely had ti to react before he was airborne, flung across the battlefield.

The impact stole the breath from his lungs.

He crashed, rolling violently before barely managing to push himself up.

His vision blurred—

And then—

Calenthir scread.

Lyrius' head snapped up just in ti to see it.

Zane.

He stood over Calenthir—his hand outstretched.

And—

Her capsule shattered.

Gone.

Just like that.

[Calenthir – Eliminated.]

Lyrius' chest seized.

He barely had ti to process before Zane turned toward him.

This was bad.

Lyrius was alone.

Two against one.

His breathing was ragged, his body ached, his vision swam—

But the worst part?

He wasn't even surprised.

His team had always been useless.

Caspian should've been here.

Calenthir shouldn't have been reckless.

Now—it was up to him.

And he was exhausted.

"You think I'll go down easy?" he muttered.

Varren and Zane exchanged glances.

Then—they attacked.

Varren ca in first, spear flashing toward his ribs.

Lyrius dodged. Barely.

He twisted—rapier snapping up—

Only for Zane to shift the air around him.

Lyrius' footing wavered—a fraction of a second.

But that was all they needed.

The spear connected.

His capsule shattered.

Light burst—

[Lyrius – Eliminated.]

For a mont—everything was silent.

Lyrius felt the battlefield fade.

And then, his last thought—

Caspian.

You were supposed to carry this damn team.

You were supposed to be the strongest.

And yet—

You were useless.

Just like the rest of them.

Pathetic.

And then, he was gone.
