Watching and watching, I couldn’t help but pinch the little girl’s chubby face...

Intoxicated and passed out, Lan Tian slept restlessly, feeling sothing constantly bothering her face. Annoyed, she furrowed her brows and twisted her head, trying to shake off the irritating object on her face.

Seeing the girl getting impatient, Mo Junhua withdrew his hand, stared at Lan Tian for a few seconds, and then left with satisfaction.

...

After taking a break, Chunhua felt much better and thought about the issue Sanwa had asked about, intending to give Chun i a few hints, so she went to Chun i’s room.

Chun i showed no expression upon seeing her.

"Fourth sister, I’m leaving soon, you..." Chun Lan hoped Chun i would confess herself.

"Did you ntion it to Grandma Sun and the others?" Hearing Chunhua was leaving, Chun i beca anxious and hastily interrupted her.

Chunhua felt so stifled, worried about being scolded by Sanwa for her part, yet here she was still concerned about things that didn’t belong to her, anger rising from her heart.

"If you want to talk about it, say it yourself, I am too ashad to say such things."

Furious, she left, and the money originally prepared for their parents, Chunhua didn’t want her to take it either; with her greedy temperant, it was uncertain whether the money would even reach their parents.

Mo Junhua stepped out and saw Chunhua with a face full of rage, exiting from Chun i’s room and looked towards it before walking outside.

Chunhua, feeling guilty upon seeing him, averted her gaze, thought for a mont, and then followed him out.

"Co on, I’ll take you back to the hospital."

The two went to say goodbye to Grandma Sun and the others.

"Why are you leaving so soon? You’ve just arrived not long ago, stay a few more days. You can chat more with Tiantian at ho," said Grandma Sun.

Chunhua, being obedient, made Grandma Sun and Zhao Li reluctant to let her go, urging her to stay.

"These past few days have been busy at the hospital, and I couldn’t make ti to co here. Today, I took leave from the hospital. I’ll visit again when I get the chance."

With Chunhua saying this, Grandma Sun and the others felt it was not right to insist she stay. They then looked towards Mo Junhua, their eyes clearly asking, "Sanwa, you aren’t leaving, are you?"

Having just returned, Grandma Sun and the others hoped Mo Junhua would stay at ho longer, but the military isn’t like other places, and Mo Junhua had duties to attend to. Grandma Sun and Zhao Li wouldn’t hold him back, but were just worried about Lan Tian.

Mo Junhua’s eyebrows lifted in a smile, "Grandma, aunt, I’m not leaving. I will stay at ho for a few days."

Hearing Mo Junhua say this, Grandma Sun and Zhao Li finally sighed in relief, their smiles growing broader, and they carefully advised the two to be careful on the road, watching until they could no longer see the car before returning inside.

"Take good care of yourself at the hospital, don’t worry about ho affairs, I’m here! Chun i is already a mother; she needs to take responsibility for her own actions. Take it easy and look after yourself," Mo Junhua advised Chunhua as he dropped her at the hospital’s main gate.

Chunhua nodded, "Got it, Sanwa. You also need to take care of yourself in the military to save your sister-in-law from worrying."

Lin Guohao had just seen a few friends off and was heading back to the hospital, spotting two figures at the entrance that looked like Mo Junhua and his sister. Thinking of the recently unsettling Mo Junhua in Shanghai, he smiled and approached them.

He was an influential figure; everyone misjudged him.

Initially a nobody from the countryside, who would take him seriously? But just in a couple of years, he shook Shanghai to its core, with just a single word from him, no one in Shanghai dared to touch him.

Having given all his instructions, Mo Junhua let Chunhua enter, who took a few steps, then suddenly turned to look at him, appearing to want to say more. Mo Junhua smiled and waved for her to go in, and she slowly walked away.

Lin Guohao waited for Chunhua to enter before approaching, calling from a few steps away, "Mo Junhua."

Hearing soone calling his na, Mo Junhua turned around to see Lin Guohao approaching.

"I just sent so friends off and saw your silhouette from behind at the entrance, didn’t expect it was really you. When did you co back?" The two hadn’t seen each other for years, but Lin Guohao greeted Mo Junhua as warmly as before.

Mo Junhua hadn’t expected to encounter Lin Guohao, and was delighted to see him.

"Just got back, long ti no see!"

Lin Guohao ca over and patted Mo Junhua. "Yeah! Long ti no see, how’s your leg now?"

Lin Guofu had ntioned Mo Junhua to his family, but was vague about the details. They only knew sothing was wrong with Mo Junhua’s leg, apparently serious, and he had been in the hospital for a quite long ti. Granny Lin and the others wanted to visit him, but civilians couldn’t access the Military District Hospital. With the situation in Beijing unclear, the family unanimously decided to keep it from the old man, to save him the worry.

Granny Lin often sighed in dismay.

"It’s enough that Granny Lin and the others are worried. Are they doing okay?"

"Grandma and others are fine." As they got closer, Lin Guohao realized how much Mo Junhua had changed. He seed much more mature and composed than years ago. Although Mo Junhua tried to restrain it, Lin Guohao still felt his authoritative aura.

Thinking about the recent changes in Shanghai, Lin Guohao suggested, "It’s rare for us brothers to et, why don’t we go for a walk?"

Hearing Lin Guohao say that, Mo Junhua guessed he had sothing to discuss. The hospital entrance was bustling, not a place for private conversations, so he started walking towards his car, "Let’s talk in the car."

The conversation between the two lasted all afternoon. Watching Mo Junhua drive away, Lin Guohao felt troubled long after by their discussion.

The old man once said Mo Junhua was truly exceptional. He had been skeptical at the ti, but now he saw that the old man was right.

.......

At dinner ti, Mo Junhua entered the house and saw that Lan Tian was passed out drunk, showing no signs of waking up soon. Seeing the maid sleeping so sweetly, he didn’t have the heart to wake her.

Grandma Sun heard the maid was still drunk and hadn’t woken up, and said to let her sleep and not bother her. They left so food warming on the stove for her to eat when she woke up, which Zhao Li and Mo Yuanle, as husband and wife, thought was quite appropriate.

The only one who had objections in the house was Chun i, unable to stand seeing Grandma Sun’s family doting on Lan Tian. Envious and increasingly upset, she wanted to prick with a few words but seeing Mo Junhua’s cold face, she only dared to scoff in her mind.

Lazy and useless!

A chicken that doesn’t lay eggs, she wondered what Sanwa saw in her.

Chun i had her objections, but no one paid her any mind. She knew Sanwa valued Lan Tian and wouldn’t reject Lan Tian just because she didn’t like her.

After dinner, Mo Junhua finished washing up and went back to his room to sleep, pondering whether he should make up for the delayed wedding night.

"Baby." Mo Junhua called her softly.

Lan Tian had slept all afternoon and was half-drunk, half-awake, feeling annoyed by so disturbance, about to wave away the annoyance when she suddenly realized she couldn’t move her hand; it seed clamped by sothing. After struggling several tis, she reluctantly opened her eyes and looked at the culprit, seemingly still not sober.

"Mo Junhua." She muttered a word, then shut her eyes again.

"Baby, shall we consummate our marriage?" Mo Junhua deliberately deepened his voice.

"No good, Master said we mustn’t lose the Primordial Yin before Foundation Establishnt." This was Lan Tian’s fixation, even while drunk, she rembered it.

Mo Junhua didn’t understand what Primordial Yin ant, but it didn’t stop him from guessing that Lan Tian was unwilling.

Mo Junhua felt infuriatingly annoyed, what kind of damned Master was this, always spoiling his marriage? Was getting married easy for him?

"Baby"

Lan Tian was utterly vexed, endlessly nagged by an earache, couldn’t they let her sleep in peace?

With blurry drunken rage, Lan Tian’s fury flared, she abruptly opened her eyes and glared at Mo Junhua, fierce and nacing, "Keep annoying , see if I don’t burn you alive."

She pushed Mo Junhua away, and with a flick of her fingertips, a wisp of gray smoke flickered, seemingly about to go out any mont.

Mo Junhua hadn’t even managed to coax her properly when a scorchingly deadly heat hit him face-on, causing a mont of confusion; he looked at the smoke on the girl’s fingertip, tiny as a fingertip, yet he felt a deadly threat from it, shock outweighing the fear.

He had always known the girl had secrets, in dreams the girl looked ordinary (Mo Junhua flattered against his conscience), and in the last few dreams, his temples had turned white, old and frail, at the end of his days, while the girl remained youthful and beautiful like an eighteen-year-old, a vast disparity not everyone could endure.

Knowing in the heart was one thing, but witnessing it face-to-face was another shock entirely; slowly cooling down, he stared intently at the fla, a profound light flashing in his eyes.

Lan Tian’s brain, still muddled by alcohol, was unaware that she had inadvertently revealed her hidden secret. She was driven to her limits by Mo Junhua, releasing the smoke to frighten him.

Mo Junhua was coaxing her with his life, and the girl was still drunk; this was an opportunity. If he missed this chance, there might not be another like it.
