Mineah struggled hard not to blush in front of Nikolai as she started with her usual morning routine after just a mind-blowing orgasm. Sure, it was an amazing experience, but it was hard to go back to normal after, well… that. Still, she tried anyway.
"Hmm, what are we going to do for the day?" she asked, avoiding eye contact while casually eating her breakfast.
"I would love to simply stay here with you, Mine." Nikolai playfully humd.
She held back a sigh. He wasn't helping ease the tension and embarrassnt in her at all.
Quickly finishing her al, she stood up and did her best to have them do sothing different. "No, let's go outside," she suggested. "I want to explore the island."
"But I thought you wanted to continue with your studies and training," Nikolai pointed out with a smirk. "Being inside while I give out your lectures is better, don't you think?"
Mineah pressed her lips as she fought to keep her composure. This man was teasing her to the core again with those sly smiles of his.
Sohow, she had a feeling that they would end up having more intimate monts together again with how he was bluntly gawking and staring at her. Those amber eyes of his felt like fire, threatening to consu her with the vibrant desires they implicated.
Just like in her erotic dreams, Nikolai had made her experience a mind-blowing orgasm. This ti, it was for real, and it was so much better than she ever expected it would be.
But just as she was starting to fantasize, Mineah shook her head as her face wrinkled. She realized how deep red her blush was getting, and she was only thankful that she stopped her corrupted mind at work before it could get any worse.
"Let's go. I want so fresh air," she hastily answered as she walked past him to go outside. "You can teach while we walk."
"Why are you in a hurry, Mine?" Nikolai humd as he grabbed her by the hand.
Mineah stiffened at the sudden contact, but she did her best to act nonchalant and unaffected. It was so weird. She felt more sensitive to his simple gestures than usual. Even the slightest touch of their skin could easily send delicious jolts of pleasure through her nerves.
"I'm just excited to explore the island while you teach so of the lessons I still need to learn," she replied with an awkward smile. "Oh, right. You also ntioned last night that you'll introduce to your vultures."
In truth, she was honestly a bit disappointed last night with Nikolai quickly changing the topic the mont she asked about Dahlia. Of course, she didn't pursue it further, but sohow, it was getting to her. With him not being vocal about his past felt like he was still wound up in his own mories.
"Hold onto tightly then," Nikolai advised as he pulled her closer to him.
Heeding his words, she instinctively hugged him, knowing that he would transport her again in a flash. And soon enough, she felt her feet leave the ground as Nikolai began to take them to their destination.
"Ah, it's nice having this kind of ability," she praised the mont she felt the wind hitting her face.
Nikolai only chuckled, and she blinked as the beautiful scene from the top of the hill graced her eyes. The cold air brushing against her cheeks felt good, and she looked up the mont she heard the sound of hissing vultures.
"Can you talk to them?" she curiously asked.
If she recalled, werewolves had abilities to understand wolves. Perhaps vampires could do the sa with other animals? After all, vampires, unlike werewolves, didn't have fixed abilities since they vary depending on the vampire's capabilities and natural gifts.
"I'm connected with them, having bestowed my mark on them," Nikolai nonchalantly replied as he set her down back down on the ground. "So yes, I can communicate and see whatever it is that they see."
Mineah nodded as she watched the three vultures fly toward them. As if moving in a choreographed manner, each one of them perched themselves on the nearest rocks in front of them.
"This is Roro, the father, Ala the mother, and their son Kuru," Nikolai introduced, having moved to present his pets to her.
Mineah chuckled as she watched the vultures bow their heads upon the introduction.
"Ah, it's nice to et you Roro, Ala, and Kuru," she gleefully greeted, even moving closer to them so that she could caress their heads. In response, they cawed as their heads seemingly nuzzled into her fingers.
"They like you, Mine," Nikolai humd with a bright smile. "They said you look beautiful and kind."
Mineah chuckled. "They look so adorable too. Did you na them?"
"It was Dahlia who nad them," Nikolai answered, making Mineah flinch just from hearing his tone.
"I see," she humd after regaining her composure. "I guess you and Lady Dahlia nad and raised them together."
She couldn't help but keep comparing herself to his old fla. Dahlia was dead, but why did she was having this uncomfortable feeling inside of her whenever she heard the woman's na escaping Nikolai's lips?
She couldn't help but be eager to hear more about the woman from him. She just had to know, despite it feeling like she was asking for a knife to stab her in the chest.
There was a terse silence, and Mineah was glad Nikolai broke it first by opening up a different topic.
"You're supposed to learn about the Midnight Sun Waiting, correct?" Nikolai started. "It's part of a sacred tradition for rulers after doing The Coupling Rites."
Mineah simply listened as he lectured her, taking to mind the things that she was and wasn't allowed to do during that period.
"So there will be limited ti for us to et," she regretfully humd. Fewer etings for them would be a disadvantage for her. "And yet you only allowed a season to capture your heart," she scoffed. "This is so unfair."
Nikolai chuckled. "Co here. Sit with …"
She followed and sat beside him. To be honest, despite the sexual tension that Nikolai's closeness to her body was giving her, she found a strong sense of security and comfort with him like no other.
"Don't expect to extend our bargain, because I won't," he declared. "I'm sure that by now, you know how strongly I desire you. There's no way that I intend to delay consuming all of you further…"
Mineah bit her lower lip as she quietly sighed. She then grabbed his hand and held it. Letting her head rest on his shoulder, she murmured, "I'll keep that in mind. For now, let's continue with your lectures."
She could feel how his body stiffened, and she smiled at that reaction. She would just have to make him get overly used to her presence before the Midnight Sun Waiting cos. It was another technique to make him fall for her where her absence during that ti would make his heart grow fonder.
Granted, it wasn't foolproof, but it was still a strong idea!

AN: Do you agree with Mine? Was it really a strong idea?
