Chapter 91: My Future Queen

Tarah stirred as she slowly opened her eyes, blinking at the unfamiliar ceiling before her. Not that she wanted to wake up, however. She felt so comfortable in her current position that she had an urge to not move at all and sleep more. However, seeing the unfamiliar ceiling above her prompted her to rise from the bed.

"You’re finally awake."

Ezekiel’s voice echoed in the room, and she quickly turned to locate its source. Locking her eyes on his form, he was currently standing on the balcony under the glowing moonlight.

"Your Highness, I apologize... I slept..." she timidly murmured as she quickly got out of the comfortable bed. Glancing around the extravagant chamber, with its masculine aura and design, she could already tell it was the prince’s room.

"I’m sure you’re hungry, so just stay and I’ll have the servants deliver your al here," he said, walking back inside from the balcony and heading straight to the door where she heard him giving out instructions to soone outside the room.

With nothing to do at the mont, Tarah composed herself before walking around the room. She still couldn’t believe she had passed out for this long. It was probably close to midnight right now, but she didn’t really mind. Her body was honestly exhausted, and she still truly lacked sleep even now.

In the past few days, she had beco busy trying to perfect the teleportation spell. She knew she was running out of ti, so she was pushing herself to her limit whenever she had the opportunity.

"Eat first, then you can go back to sleep," remarked Ezekiel, gesturing for her to join him.

As Tarah settled into the chair opposite to him, she couldn’t help but ask, "Is this your bedchamber?"

"Yes. You can sleep here so more if you want," he casually said. "The bed is big enough for the two of us anyway."

Tarah blushed at his surprising directness. Why was he being this forthcoming? Was it because they had shared a tent before? That was different, right? They had slept in separate makeshift beds with a partition between them back then.

In front of her, Ezekiel’s gaze lingered on her, studying her reaction. Tarah should have grown used to it by now since the prince often fixed his gaze upon her. And yet, she still couldn’t help but blush, feeling her heart quicken each ti he looked at her.

"It’s improper for us to sleep in the sa bed," she pointed out.

Before she could continue further, fortunately, a knock on the door interrupted their conversation. With a nod, Ezekiel instructed the servant to enter, and Tarah gulped as the servants quickly served their als. Once they were done, he then quickly dismissed them.

"Eat," he gently urged, prompting Tarah to begin eating. "Has your sleep here been uncomfortable?"

"Hmm, it wasn’t," she replied. "I really slept well."

"Then sleep with

so more here."

Ezekiel’s bluntness caused Tarah to almost choke on the at she was eating. Quickly, he handed her so water.

"Here, Tarah."

Grabbing the glass, she drank it all down in a few seconds as she eyed him. ’What’s gotten into him?!’ she inwardly complained.

Regaining her composure, Tarah t his gaze and tried her best to respond. "Your Highness, like I said, it’s improper for us to sleep in the sa bed," she reasoned. "Besides, there are plenty of spare rooms in your palace for

to use."

"I don’t want you leaving my sight, Tarah. You’re still in danger, and I don’t want Devon to get to you," Ezekiel reasoned back. "Also, I want you near . Your scent is like a comfort to . Now finish your al. I need to talk to you about a very important matter soon after."

Tarah gulped, feeling nervous for so reason. What could he want to discuss now?

Still feeling both curious and anxious, she continued eating, grateful that Ezekiel stood up and walked back to the balcony. Left alone, she couldn’t help but overthink about what they would be discussing. And after finishing her al, she hesitantly approached him on the balcony. Once she arrived, sothing she didn’t even expect happened.

"The weather is too cold," he murmured to her as he suddenly wrapped his cloak around her shoulders.

Despite being caught off guard, Tarah felt his warmth enveloping her. She found it comforting, and as if to further add to said comfort, Ezekiel kept his arm around her shoulders.

"I’m not sure if you’re the woman Seer Beirut warned

about, but there’s a high possibility that it’s you," Ezekiel began, his eyes fixed upon the night sky. "I hadn’t involved myself with any woman until you ca into my life, and all of a sudden, things started to happen."

Tarah gulped. It would seem that Seer Beirut’s vision was right since she was truly the one responsible for all of the recent events. She had sent Ezekiel into danger the mont she realized it didn’t alter the events in her vision. She had pushed the dragon’s spirit into Ezekiel when, in truth, there was a way to change her vision and let Queen Dana remove and extract Vulcan’s soul from his body instead.

If she had simply allowed Ezekiel’s mother to extract Vulcan’s soul from his body, then there would have been no need for Devon to hunt for the prince in the first place. The Demon King would have focused his attention more on hunting Vulcan’s soul instead. But if she didn’t do what she did, then she and Levi would have remained under Devon’s control and rcy no matter what.

’The dragon spirit will save him from doom though,’ she reminded herself.

That was what she told herself. That it was the best solution she could’ve co up with for her and her brother to gain freedom while ensuring Ezekiel’s life wouldn’t perish.

Back in reality, Ezekiel held onto her shoulders and then turned her to face him. He looked deeply into her eyes, cupping one of her cheeks as he gently caressed it.

"They say that being in a romantic relationship with a Seer is forbidden because they will lose their gift of foresight," Ezekiel said, and Tarah could feel her heart pounding loudly. "When you ascended, I gave you the freedom to choose whether or not to be our kingdom’s Seer because I was scared that you could be the woman who would cause my doom. But now, things have beco clearer to ..."

He then paused, gently grabbing her hands and kissing them. Tarah felt like she was on cloud nine. Was this real or just a dream?

"Right now, I’m asking you not to beco our kingdom’s Seer, not because I’m scared of the fate that awaits , Tarah. The only thing that scares

now is losing you from my side because I love you," he sincerely stated. "I want you to not beco our Seer because I want you to beco my wife... my future Queen."
